It was so nice to enjoy a phenomenal brunch in a very safe outdoor patio environment. The restaurant and our waiter was very well versed in COVID safety and followed all the guidelines while treating us to great service and very original flavorful brunch item. Clover has been consistently superlative
Clover has imaginative food which is always delicious. We are outside and everything was done with Covid-19 safety protocols in mind. Brunch was delicious. I had the lunchbox combo—great French onion soup, Caesar salad, and 1/2 of Clover’s Reuben, which is worth the trip alone! My spouse had Cobb Salad with grilled chicken that was fantastic. We finished with a chocolate pot de creame—a must if you visit. A lovely, Sunday brunch. We will definitely be back.
A fantastic outdoor setting and the food is always amazing.
Such great food! Great owners! Love this little place!
Was a awesome place, very high quality food and drinks. Loved the outside seating, well shaded in the evening.
We loved every minute of our anniversary dinner. My halibut was perfectly cooked with elegant and delicious forbidden rice and condiments. My husband ordered his every-visit favorite, the steak. Attentive, thoughtful service — charming room — we can’t wait to come back to our favorite restaurant.
Clover is back and the food is great! Beautiful patio and exceptional service.
Staff present was lax about mask-wearing/mask-touching and table sanitation after other customers left. They had laminated notices on each table directing customers to online menus... rather than say..... washable laminated menus, or available disposable copies (which I asked for, and they were out). I had mentioned on my online reservation it was for an important celebratory event (we just got married!!) but staff did not mention it, ask us our reason for dining out, and did not choose to interact with us as individuals during our long (2+ hour stay).
The basic level of service was provided with politeness, including water although I had to ask for my draft beer twice before it arrived. Their outdoor patio is a wonderful space, that provides space between tables and a decent atmosphere. The food was the highlight and why we chose the location for our special day.
Our meals were fresh, flavorful, with creative combinations and choices even though it is a reduced menu. We have chosen this restaurant several times to bring friends for nice meals in the past because of their fresh and interesting and revolving menu, but believe we will try the other culinary adventures in town before thinking of coming back due to impersonal service and COVID-19 hygiene preparations that were not taken seriously by staff... or perhaps by the establishment themselves.
I would not currently recommend them to friends, but in the past I have raved about Clover's range of dishes I have enjoyed there. Sorry, Clover!
The food was incredible, but it took 55min to get to the table.
The table felt very uncomfortable. It was in a corner with a window looking into the house nextdoor. That being sed it was the best food I can remember!
Pork lettuce wraps were ok. Pork was tasty just a little over cooked. Halibut was super yummy, rice perfectly cooked. Lamb was partially over cooked on some pieces, but overall a tasty dish.
Lovely setting, courteous and friendly service, delicious food and very clean restrooms! Perfect for our birthday lunch.
Clover is one of our favorite dining spots in Spokane. The food is wonderful and the staff is friendly and provide great service.
I liked the new menu. The food was excellent.
Plan to return soon -
Clover has great food, attentive servers and a whole lot of charm. It is in a quaint old house. I also love the option of outdoor seating. It is always an all around perfect experience. I will definitely be a lifelong customer.
Beat our expectations. We went for happy hour and had the red wine and some appetizers. Small menu, but everything was great.
great experience with wonderful food, service was exceptional
Overall good. Needed more choices/variety in entrees, wife went with an appetizer for dinner. She also said the French onion soup could use more cheese but great flavor. I had the lamb and it was outstanding.
Wonderful place to eat! And awesome stuff! A 10/10.
This was recommended by some friends and it was not a disappointment. The ambience was cozy. The service was excellent and food tasty. One of the favorites was the small portions for dessert. They perfect sized bite.after a good meal.
We look forward to returning. Thank you for such a positive first experience.
Overall great experience. The main course took a bit too long to come after the starters, especially since I believe we were the first party in for dinner that night and it was early for us (just after 5:00 but we had a short at 7:30).
The scallops were great, the Chicken Cordon Bleu was a bit too much oil/greese and over salted. I still ate about 3/4 of the plate. Crab and Artichoke dip was great. This was our second time at Clover and we will return.
Waitress was excellent. Food delivery by kitchen took too long
I went to Clover for Restaurant Week. I had the crab/artichoke appetizer, the Tri-Tip steak and Pot de Creme for dessert. Everything was fantastic. Best meal I have had in Spokane in 15 years. So good that I am taking my son tonight. ❤️❤️❤️
Really enjoyed the food, service was great, and I’ll definitely go back.
Wanted to try Clover for a while. Made a restaurant week stop tonight. We had reservations for 2 at 645. We sat, and weren’t checked on for a drink order or anything until after 7. We ordered everything right away, and timing was great after that. The rest of my sad experience was with the food. We each chose something different so we could try it all. The pretzels were hard and dry, and the cheese was room temperature and gluey. The steak was so chewy and tough that I could not saw through it with a serrated knife, and I couldn’t fi. The pot de creme chocolate layer was more of a frozenish brownie than what I’m used to when I see pot de creme. I’m not sure what others are used to, but I won’t be back on the food quality alone. Super disappointed. ☹️
Sat in the bar and tables were a little cramped. I do understand it was restaurant week. Food and value good.
Love this place! Was a little disappointed that it took an hour to get the main dish but it was worth the wait.
Parking was impossible. The restaurant is in the middle of Gonzaga University student housing! The food was excellent but the building is not accessible for older people.
We had a wonderful meal! Thank you!
We met friends for restaurant week and everything was very good. The chef mixes such good flavorful dishes. The portion sizes were perfect so we could finish every course. The atmosphere is fairly casual unique in a renovated house in the Gonzaga neighborhood and the food is bistro top notch.
My guest and I went to Clover for restaurant week. Seated in small area off bar. Tables too close together and sound from bar magnified. Had asked for upstairs on reservation. They were very gracious and comped some wine for us. I had the beet salad and it was excellent. My guest had the lobster mac and cheese. Unbelievable how much lobster you get. She loved it. Nice that it is made with spazle. My guest had the seared ahi tuna and thought it was top notch with a nice spicy sauce. I had the beef tips. A bit overcooked and dry for my tastes. My guest had the chocolate pot for dessert. Nice with coffee chocolate mousse and vanilla mousse. Some service miscues with entrees preceding apps but not a big deal. Enjoyed our dinner before the Zags game.
Awesome service and outstanding food... loved it! Our waitress was very good.
A weekend away.
Had a great experience at Clover for our Valentine's dinner out. Arriving a bit early for our reservation, we were greeted warmly and in short order lead to our table upstairs in the front room. It was our first time, and Craig (our waiter) welcomed us. Drinks were ordered (try the Pomengranite Sour, mmm). Every item on the menu looked enticing; my wife choose the scallops and I, the shrimp polenta and peruvian beef bites, sharing the brussel sprouts. We both enjoyed the dishes, presentation thru taste, every bite delish! It was a wonderful experience, in all aspects. Huge call out to Craig!
Amazing experience and food! I can’t wait to try breakfast and lunch now after having dinner here.
Our server and our food was outstanding. We shared the brussels spouts with wild mushrooms, had the stuffed chicken and the scallops, a bottle of WA red, and shared a dessert. Our server was so accommodating with my picky husband's questions and had a wonderful sense of humor. What a fabulous evening out!
We try stopping in at Clover every time we are passing through Spokane. Always great food!
Food was cold. Waited for hot food and everyone else in party were finished
Amazing food, and an awesome atmosphere. It's in an older craftsman style home and it has a lot of charm.
We go to Clover when we have recruits in town for the Women's Rowing team at Gonzaga. Absolutely love this place, and the waitstaff are always fantastic. It's a great first stop for recruits on their trip out here and they always rave about the food. can't say enough good tings about Clover!
Excellent food and experience
Had the special hash delicious
Others had chicken sandwhich and eggs Benedict
All very tasty
