Great menu. Amazing food, fantastic drinks, super friendly staff
Thoughtful, subtle and unique flavor combinations with a cool, sexy, inviting ambience. Great experience, will be back!
Wonderfully creative spot, perfectly executed in all respects. The menu felt curated, in that each dish was distinct in flavor, texture and visual appeal. The plates are set up for sharing, which is sometimes cliche but works perfectly here. No overlap, all very good. We ordered everything in our table of 6 and loved the whole experience. Bravo!
A must visit if you are in the area . The place is so warm and inviting and the food is out of this world . I do also want to give a huge shout out to the people working there , they made the experience even more special . We had a few different cocktails and all of them where amazing . I highly recommend the “Ghost in the Melon” and “Cloud 9”. Everything we ordered was great and the presentation deserve five stars on its own . We will be regulars here :)
Excellent meal! The shrimp toast and fried chicken were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend and will return!
Great gorgeously presented small plates and creative cocktails
Really sad to say that this place greatly disappointed. The salad was so small as to be meaningless even as a 'small bite' dish, the dressing was tasty but soaked the greens. The bibimbap was completely without flavor and the greens were spiky and fibrous -- it was actually unpleasant to eat - we hope the kitchen can figure this one out. Good news -- the shrimp toast was delicious. Drinks were good.
A complete sensual experience-the design and visual appeal of the restaurant, the welcoming staff and of course the food will leave you ready to return often.
The food was superb and the service fantastic although on the pricier side.
The atmosphere is sparse and not sure if that was done on purpose.
Will definitely recommend to others for the quality and the flavors of both the food and the amazing cocktails!
Fantastic. I have been to Korea several times and this was spot on.
Excellent food with a great vibe and very responsive staff. Mike, one of the managing partners in particular was incredibly hospitable. Highly recommend.
All the drinks and food we ordered was delicious. They did a nice job of coming around and checking in with us. Standouts we’re the mulhwe (sashimi in broth) and shrimp toast. We also ordered the steak tartare which was good but a little too heavy on the sauce.
He cloud 9 drink is heavenly and the pouring of it at your table and seeing the cotton candy disintegrate in the drink is pretty cool. The 7-9-5 drink is also good, the little dried seaweed they attach to it is adorable and gives a nice aroma while drinking it.
Lovely and serene space. Kind and friendly staff. Creative cocktails that were very delicious and the bar accommodated a request to omit an ingredient from my husband’s drink, which he enjoyed immensely, with no disgruntlement or attitude.
The menu is small but diverse enough and everything we ordered was very very good. The Shrimp Toast was subtle but flavorful and beautifully presented. The fried chix was a slightly salty version of a Tampura that was really yummy with a similar dipping sauce to the shrimp toast but felt different in some way.
The Butter Rice Ssam everyone talks about comes with 3 pieces of Nori (seaweed) to use as wrappers which I actually thought masked the delicate beauty of the rice and crabmeat. There were also only 3 pieces and we were 2 ppl so this is a sticking point with me. IF dishes are to be shared like these are and there are 2 ppl at the table then there needs to be 4 pieces of whatever it is! Not fair to give an odd number to an even number of guests. 😟
But as I said it was actually unnecessary since I could have just eaten the whole bowl of goodness alone with my spoon!!
Then The Piece de Resistence!! The Weygu Rib Eye served Med rare closer to rare. Seasoned perfectly and served with a smorgasbord of lettuce and pickled things and kimchi and sauces and such. Each little lettuce wrap we made was a taste thrill and we were very happy. My husband loved the spicy soup that came with it too! We opted out of dessert because the offerings were not exciting and we were actually enjoying the flavors from dinner and drinks still popping on our tongues.
All in all a great experience and we have already told 100 ppl to go!
Not cheap dinner but totally worth the money.
Everyone made us feel very welcome and we will be back!
Great new addition to our list👍🏼
Cloud & Spirits was a great date night. Food and drinks were excellent. Wait staff was attentive and pleasant. No complaints!
Amazing food, great service. The kimchi butter spaghetti was delicious.
We had a lovely time at Cloud the broth was packed with flavor, the bass melted in the mouth. Next time, there will be no sharing; I want a bowl to myself!! Next, we had the shrimp toast, which I’ve had at other restaurants. It was good with a light, fluffy texture and full shrimp flavor. Ah, the Butter Rice Ssam…what can I say. It was a toss-up between the Mulhwe and this delectable dish that battled for the top spot for me. I’ll call it a tie. Spaghetti w/ kimchi was tasty but not as memorable as the other dishes.
Finally, we ended with the popular Fried Chicken dish. For me, it wasn’t nearly as good as I had imagined based on other reviews ( though my friend ranked it higher than I would). Think tempura chicken; if that is your thing, then you will probably love this dish. I could have taken a pass and had a bowl of Mulhwe to myself. We had a terrific server, and the updated décor was pleasant and comfortable. Finally, I want to give a thumbs up to the manager who (when I relayed to our server that the white wine selection wasn’t great, stepped up to offer me a New Zealand wine from his private reserve. Now, that is a class act. (BTW, my friend, not a wine person, loved the selection of specialty cocktails!)
We look forward to coming back and enjoying the ribeye and, yes, of course, hopefully that the Mulhwe will still be on the menu. Go to Cloud it’s a great addition to the local restaurant scene in Cambridge.
I really enjoyed our mean at that restaurant. It won’t be long before this get booked weeks ahead.
The food was absolutely excellent, although the portions were in the smaller side. I hope their menu expands as they are open longer. A party of two should order four dishes and I think the whole menu only had seven!
The staff and the food was amazing. Pretty small menu but it was delicious.
We made a reservation here (group of 4) after reading about Cloud and Spirits on Eater. Everything was so good, we really enjoyed the food and the ambiance/decor. We ordered 6 entrees (everything is tapas style) for 4 people along with 4 drinks and both the desserts. We'd say the stripped bass, butter rice ssam, and the ribeye were our favorites, and of everything we got we were more neutral on the bibimbap. The strawberry chilli sorbet was very fun, definitely one of the best sorbets we've had. Congrats on opening and we can't wait to be back!
Absolutely incredible food - it was delicious! And every person who worked there was personable and lovely from start to finish.
Considering that they have just barely opened this is a well run and throughly conceived concept. Since we ordered several dishes I asked if we could ensure that they wouldn’t come out all at once. The dishes came out briskly one after another so there wasn’t any real time to dine. Both the food and drinks we tried were excellent.
We will be back.
The renovation is well done, with a pleasing atmosphere. But I was there to primarily try the food which was fine - not outstanding - but very poor value. The Bibimbap for example, falls a long way behind what I’ve eaten in Korea, but I’m okay with reinventing the dish for a Korean influenced American restaurant.
But the dish itself is a small bowl of steamed white rice, a (very) few maitakes, a couple of sugar snap peas, and an egg yolk with some Gochujang on the side. Even if I allow the restaurant a 400% mark up on the cost of ingredients, I can’t see how this dish costs more than $8-9. $22 just represents a smack in the face.
My date and I had 1 drink, three plates, and left unsatisfied after ~ 1 hour (most of which was waiting for food to arrive) and $120 spent.
I loved the ambience, but won’t be back. There are too many other good restaurants in the area to compete with, and the plates (size apart) weren’t compelling enough to convince.
Fantastic service and amazing food! Can't wait to eat the Butter Rice Ssam again :)
Beautiful food presentation and delicious flavors. Love the fusion Korean cuisine. Staff was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was warmly lit and clean with modern touch. The portion size was bigger than expected.
We went on opening weekend so they were still working out the kinks and things were a little slow but they were super nice and friendly. Food was delicious- favorites were the butter rice with crab and spaghetti. It is small plates to share but some of the dishes weren’t easily shareable. Cocktails were fun. Will definitely go back once they have been open a little longer!
Amazing food. Cocktails were amazing. Staff was friendly and professional. Will definitely come back!!!
Delicious food and attentive service! We will definitely be back.
