Love the theme of this hotel and restaurant! Good food, service and ambiance!
Great food and drinks were amazing!
The birds and the bees drink is my favorite and dessert (chocolate chip cookies) is a must
Lovely Sunday brunch with my daughter after a beautiful autumn weekend in Boston
I went with four other people on a Saturday night. Our waitress was very inattentive. Food and drinks were extremely overpriced. Cocktail list is all $20 drinks with one signature $23 drink. Our 30 something dollar entrees came out cold and the waitress didn't come back to even check in after dropping our meals.
Really cool place and very interesting to see how they flipped the old jail, but this is not a place I would go back to unless they step up the service. For what you're paying you should be getting better.
I don't know if they are short staffed because of Covid, and I don't want to jump to conclusions. I was just very dissatisfied with my experience there.
I was very disappointed in the quality and flavor of the food. I had the seared East Coast Salmon. It was farm raised and tasteless. The Tapenade did nothing for the Salmon and “oven roasted tomatoes were just sun dried tomatoes with to much vinegar. It was expensive for as bad as it was. The only thing I ate was the salmon, and it was flavorless. I would not go back. The service was ok, nothing special, though the server was pleasant. The hotel was very pretty.
Our server was phenomenal!!
Gorgeous and unique setting! Food and drinks were fantastic.
Due to the fact that we were there during Covid and during the week, we were served sitting in the lobby. With that said the lobby setting is wonderful! We had privacy, the food was amazing and the service could not have been better. I highly recommend it!
Can not give a true opinion because of the limited menue and virus
CLINK and The Liberty Bar have done a very nice job adapting to the pandemic. Seating is well-spaced and very comfortable for dinner. Service was impeccable and the food remains excellent. Because its a bar atmosphere the lighting is just a little too subtle for we older folks, but great overall. Currently this combined eatery takes up about 1/3 of the lobby space in The Liberty Hotel, so there is some foot traffic, but overall, the experience is quite pleasant.
Clink and The Liberty Bar are doing a great job in providing a quality experience while still working within the limits necessary due to COVID19 precautions. Menu is simplified from pre-pandemic but still engaging and delicious. Staff is charming and helpful as always. Still a special place to enjoy, even in these strange times.
Clink was great, good food & awesome atmosphere. So much fun for a date or time with friends. The service was great (which I rarely say), I was very impressed by how accommodating our server was. We enjoyed their charcuterie and cheese boards, plus got to try a few craft cocktails. I would DEFINITELY make it a point to stop here again. @brats_eat_this on IG for food pics ✌️
The food was great and drinks were amazing!!!
Great food and ambiance
Wonderful amazing breakfast
Well organized space to have groups spread out. Food quality is good and the portions are solid.
It was great for our first time back in the restaurant; the staff was courteous and professional spacing was Appropriate. We felt safe; the food was good; we look forward to returning sometime soon
Good location. Cute. Delicious. Would come back. Recommend.
It was great to be back at the Liberty. The staff handled the new situation very well. Too bad some of the hotel guests walking through the lobby chose not to wear masks (but most did).
Clean environment, friendly and accommodating staff, very tasty food and lovely ambience. Will definitely recommend and return.
We went for the Dine Out Boston menu, but we've never had a bad meal here. Consistently creative and delicious, and the Dine Out menu in particular is a great deal!
Great restaurant! Love the ambiance. Food is always fantastic.
Been going there for years. Price has gone up but food quality has declined. Used to be outstanding and better value. Hopefully it was a kitchen off mid week night, but we will really think twice about returning, given other choices around that neighborhood. Shame, venue setting is great.
We go back here every time we go to Boston and they never disappoint! The food is excellent, service is excellent and the atmosphere is amazing. We are already planning our next visit
The food was great and the service was also very good. I'd definitely visit again.
This is clearly one of my favorite restaurants! We were 3 people. We shared the cheese platter as an appetizer, it was delicious and so generous.
One of us took the cod, which is an awesome meal. Two of us shared the pasta bolognese, which the kitchen split onto two plates (!!) - and it was the best pasta bolognese I have ever had.
The cocktails were amazing.
The crème brûlée was the perfect dessert to polish off a great dinner experience!!!
Food was excellent. The noise was a little loud but still could hear each other.
Food was good, service was subpar save one woman who was waiting on us as a bartender who gave great advice/recommendations on the menu. There may have been a shift change in the middle of our dinner (maybe around 9? Which would be weird), so we had one waiter who we saw three times over an hour and a half and then he disappeared before our entrees came (which we didn’t receive until an hour and half after we got there, with our apps taking an hour). Noise increased around 9:30, when the bar outside got louder and the dj started playing.
Fabulous food. The squid ink pasta was a little thick and would have preferred fettuccine size.
Really flavorful food, excellent if not exceptionally generous drinks, nice wine choices.
But: loud and really expensive
A unique experience to be sure — service was terrific, with a perfectly balanced menu.
Clink. was pretty amazing. The ambiance is crazy (gutted 1851 jail). The only reason i didn't give this review 5 stars across the board is a couple factors.
1. My steak was overcooked. The restaurant wasn't nearly busy enough to rush a steak order.
2. Placed at a table near the kitchen despite there being many open seating.
3. Service was slightly slow. We understood that it was valentines weekend but the restaurant was only half packed.
4. At the $85 pre fix menu, it wasn't worth the value. The bisque wasn't seasoned well, filet was overcooked, and the chocolate dessert was overpowering.
Would definitely recommend going on a casual weekend dinner dtae and opt out of any pre fixes.
The restaurant was clearly overbooked and seated us more than an hour after our 8:15 reservation. Food did not come out for the whole party at the same time and many dishes were cold when they did arrive. Would not have expected this poor level of service for such an established restaurant
It was excellent! Great service, great food. We had a 530pm reservation and we were given an excellent table.
The service was terrible... I had to ask the server if she was going to serve us. Before someone approached our table, someone had walked out and mumbled that your food was going to take forever to come out. That wasn't the case, but the food wasn't good.
I would not recommend this place or the hotel. It didn't have a luxury vibe.
We had a reservation but the tables were all taken in the restaurant so we sat and ate in the lobby, which was fairly comfortable. It was also probably more private even though we were in the open. The bartender was the only restaurant employee in the lobby and she was swamped and could hardly look over the make-your-own-Bloody Mary setup to ensure everything was available n(Bloody Mary mix was never refilled), let alone take care of restaurant patrons. We had to find our own napkins and menus. Our eventual server had never waited on patrons before (she worked setting up and clearing tables), however, she did an excellent job.
Outstanding seafood pasta and very fast service!
We went there for brunch with my mom and my two-year old. There were definitely prepared for kids and the food was outstanding. Service was really good too. We’ll be back!
Our second time at Clink and we were not disappointed. The food is outstanding - so flavorful with an fabulous presentation. The service this time was off but it was not our waiter's fault - there was a party of 8 women next to us that seemed to be so demanding - and - they insisted on 8 different checks! Who does that? They were loud and disruptive and put a damper on the evening for us. Certainly not the restaurant's fault. We had requested an intimate table but it was not to be with that group next to us - just the luck of the draw. Clink is outstanding and you should go!
There for lunch, I ordered the salmon burger. It was dry and way too salty. One friend ordered the soup and salad for $23, and the clam chowder was good but with only one clam and in the smallest of bowls.
