A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.

Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.

Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.

As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

Made a mistake by booking a table for 5 in the restaurant rather than the bar when we only wanted drinks. Forced to stay and spend at least £250 or they would've taken it off the card I booked with. Felt very threatening and ruined the mood. Wasn't even busy in there and the music was dead.

Absolutely beautiful meal; so so delicious! We both want to visit again. Extremely pleasant, helpful and attentive staff. VERY much enjoyed our date night in Manchester.

One of the nicest meals I've ever had. The menu was varied, the ingredients fresh, and the taste was outstanding. Completely exceeded my expectations. Made a birthday very special - thank you!

We visited Climat on Saturday night. We were a group of four old friends wanting somewhere special to catch up. We had the perfect evening at Climat; the quality of the food, wine and the beautiful surroundings and attentive staff made it a really memorable evening out. Highly recommended x

Friendly staff, tasty food, good view. Decent selection of wines by the glass. Lacked ambiance, partly because of the layout - tables in a line looking out over the rooftop view - but it was also spoilt by a member of staff noisily sorting out cutlery in a tray on a table close to ours. This went out for quite a while; it was clearly a chore that needed doing but not in full view and hearing of the restaurant clientele. This stopped it being a 'special' occasion - it was amateurish behaviour. It was the equivalent of somebody mopping round your feet. I know the staff wanted to get home quickly after their shift but we were paying for a fancy meal out and that should be their priority.

We came here for a late Fathers Day meal the week after and they were wonderful changing the date. We arrived a little early but our table was ready and waiting. The service, knowledge of the food, staff (from the welcome at the door to the table service) and the wine sommelier, everything was impeccable and we couldn't fault any of it. We will be returning. This is the favourite place for our son and new Daughter in Law and they had highly recommended coming here for a meal, it did not disappoint on any level at all. Thank you to all the staff who served us on the day - 21st June @ 14.00.
