It’s was a great experience, will definitely go back.
This was our first experience dining here, and I have to say, it was exceptional. It was a very quiet evening. Only a few tables. Our server was fantastic and Kitchen was very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Will definitely be returning.
Really amazing staff. So friendly and professional. We went for Dinner and breakfast and both were great.
Everything excellent in regard to location, food and service -- one problem was the "background" music, which was too loud -- and some of it was rather grating.
Great pasta dish ! Huge portions . Great service
Stunning view from the patio! Accommodating service much appreciated.
Highly recommend. Great serivce and food tasted great!
Great restaurant and beautiful views. Service was great. Only complaint is the food came out too quick. My appetizers were still on the table when the entree came out. Overall, great dining experience.
Food was good quality but short on any embellishments
Beautiful setting and well presented food - sashimi and aha tuna as apps , shared mushroom ravioli
Server had just commenced employment
Little knowledge of principles of good service or menu item
Obviously needed more training and management support
The Resort is beautiful, but our experience was disappointing due to the fact we were there for our anniversary to enjoy a beautiful setting, but we were sat by loud children, a man with a very loud voice, and loud music at the pool (which was over taking the music on the outdoor patio). In my opinion, the hostesses should be made aware of when deciding to put a couple at a table, don't put them by large groups (especially with children). I know seating is an issue at this time with covid, but I think this could have been avoided.
On the plus side, Andy (our server) was wonderful and did a great job! The food was wonderful and the setting is beautiful. I hope to go back one day.
Had 2 reservations booked; one for dinner another for brunch. Due to inadequate taxi service in the area we were 15-20 min late for our reservation. We contacted the restaurant to inform them of the issue. When we arrived we were presented with significantly reduced menu options due to their "kitchen closing". We arrived at 9:05 pm and kitchen closed at 10:00 pm and were told we could have pasta, salad or fish and chips. Not the menu we were looking forward to at Cliffside! 2 Days later we had a 12:30 pm brunch reservation. At 12:05 pm, the same day, we received a call informing us that they forgot to tell us that "brunch" was actually a buffet breakfast with no option to order off a menu. Odd considering we are still in the middle of a global pandemic and a buffet would certainly not be something we would consider. Left with no other options for booking another location we went forward with the buffet. Food was cold...warm at best. Certainly not worth the $30 per person charge. The only positive experience from dining at Cliffside was the pleasant waitress we had for the dinner reservation. Food overpriced and customer service severely lacking!
Our Server was amazing. Very personable and pleasant.
Stephen is an excellent waiter. Food was great and the view was amazing.
Absolutely amazing, would recommend to anyone and everyone!
Friendly, courteous staff, very attentive and helpful. A little pricey but excellent ambiance for special occasions. We will definitely go again.
Beautiful scenery. Great food experience.
We enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast on the scenic patio which overlooks the golf course. Great food and nice staff!
We were staying at another resort that does not offer a hot breakfast on weekdays so were happy to find out that the Cliffside at Muskoka Bay did. They tried hard to please. It was raining the first time we went, so we ate indoors, which worked out great as we were the only ones there. We decided to return the following morning and were able to enjoy the scenic view of the golf course from the patio while eating a lovely breakfast.
Great atmosphere, food & service. Can’t wait to go back.
Was not impressed at all with Cliffside. The food was beyond average for this type of "higher end" restaurant. I was so disappointed considering other reviews were more positive. I think the appeal to this Resteurant is the view but to be honest there are much better restaurants in the area with a great view! We were extremely disappointed with the service as well. It took about an hour to get drinks and apps and then another hour to get our food. After waiting an hour for our food we hoped it would have tasted a lot better, barely touched my meal and I am not a picky eater at all! Management didn't seem to care and customer service is beyond terrible.
Wonderful service, food and pretty views overlooking the golf course. We would return. Hidden Gem!
Nice patio table, good service and food was good, not outstanding.
Love the view from the restaurant! Small choice fir the menu, but everything is so delicious! Highly recommend this place!
The restaurant is very good. The food was great. The service was not good. We waited a long time for a staff member to notice us waiting to be seated. We then waited close to half an hour for someone to come to the table for our order. One of us had to go and ask for service before anyone came to the table. When we were finishing up, a waitress started taking one persons plate away without asking if she was done or if she wanted to take the remaining food on the plate home. The person asked for the waitress to pack up the food and the waitress said she would get a container. The waitress did not ask the rest of us if we wanted containers so only brought one when we needed three. The next thing, without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert, the bill and machine were brought to the table for payment. Everything except the service was wonderful. The service was poor at every key point in the meal.
Our server Andy was great!
Just somethings on the menu were not available
Great place with a lovely ambience and amazing hospitality
30 minutes to get our drinks and more than an hour to get our food. Staff are nice and apologetic. Short staffed so poor management planning
Four of us went for a late lunch on June 29.. We were warmly welcomed by everyone. The golf cart taxi driver was extremely friendly and courteous. The food was excellent with good portions. The service superb. The view is indescribable. Prices were fair for what the offered.
Amazing view and great food!
It is one of the best restaurants in the area. We booked our table two days in advance. The table was ready on time. The restaurant offered a choice of great quality vegetarian dishes. Service was excellent.
Only the parking is located 150 - 200 meters from the restaurant. A driver will need to walk up to the hill on a driving path of the road to get to the restaurant.
We will visit the restaurant again.
What a fantastic evening we had. The service was amazing! They made us feel special from the time they picked us up at the side of the road (we decided to walk and we got lost :) )until they dropped us back at our hotel. It was our 20 anniversary and sometimes hard to make things really special with COVID but they exceeded our expectations. The food also was sooooo good.
Special thanks to Jay(love your laugh) and Taylor but everyone was wonderful. Thank you.
Meal was excellent, service was great..... all-around perfect dinner out
Icecave was an experience, but def not worth the money. i was expecting the food to be much better: soup had too much salt, salmon was dry with poor presentation, but lamb was good. It's $270/person, but once there, you have to buy wine/cocktails to add up to $270. We ended up getting 3 cocktails and a $170 wine bottle - kind of an odd way to make you spend money.
Hi there, we believe this review was meant for another resort in Muskoka as we don’t offer Ice Cave dining at Muskoka Bay Resort. We’d like for your concerns to get addressed, so just wanted to let you know. Thank you
Beautiful view over looking the course and Muskoka terrain. Food was tasty and service was great. We look forward to enjoying the lovely patio in the summer months.
Great food! Great service!
Lovely food, service and ambiance would recommend
Great portion of Prime Beef dinner. The service from Will and/or Mark is always great. There isn't a better place to eat that I can think of. Love it at Cliffside!
COVID-19 protocols followed as per last directives. Excellent service. All managed very well.
