Cliff House - Terrace is a quaint but beautiful location to enjoy the views of Maine. The servers were excellent, attentive and experienced. And the ambiance was the best part, heating lamps to keep you warm and a direct view of the ocean from the cliff’s edge. While the food was tasty, portions left something to be desired. Especially for the price. The shrimp cocktail contained only 5 shrimp, the lobster roll was on a cheap-looking, relatively small hot dog bun, limiting the amount of lobster that would fit, and the charcuterie board had two small strawberries cut in half, a small handful of grapes, and five small pieces of cheese and thinly sliced meat. One dish worth the price and good portion was the mussels, highly recommended! Ultimately a fine experience with lovely people, however overall not worth the price. If the portion sizes were to increase, we’ll gladly return!

Staff was amazing. And the view is just out of this world. My Cuban was really greasy so the bread was soggy but the flavor was good. Others items fine but not really worth the price.

The Terrace at Cliff House has a beautiful view out to the ocean which makes it a great place for date night or just a quiet dinner. Our server was very nice but the overall feeling of our dinner was there was a lot going on the night we ate there. I believe they was a wedding happening in the background which may have created a staff shortage situation.

What a huge disappointment!!! Buyer be ware! Had a reservation to celebrate a 60th and 92nd birthday. Needless to say the waiter acknowledged that we were there for a birthday celebration, but that was it. Our male waiter was one of the worst waiter’s we have ever experienced. Needless to say, for a highly regarded restaurant, he was an extreme disappointment. We were completely ignored. Appetizer of lobster and corn chowder was amazing! The fruit gazpacho was spicy. We would have sent it back, but again our waiter was no where to be found! The main course- the lobster roll and truffle fries were great! The salmon was overcooked. Again, waiter was no where to be found. I had the cod with mussels (6), clams (2) and an about 24 fingerling potatoes!!! What a HUGE disappointment!!! Again, I would have sent it back but our “waiter” was no where to be found!!! No one ever checked on us to see if we needed anything! Dessert- no mention of the birthday celebration, so our birthday guests ordered blueberry ice cream 😫 ONCE we were able to get the check, our tip was minimal. We always tip extremely well, but not today! Once we left, I went to the hotel desk and asked for the Terrace Restaurant manager, we were told that she was “unavailable!” Please rethink this restaurant. Brenda the hostess and waitress seemed to have her act together, but no promises you will have her as your server. Unfortunately, we will never return! Please rethink this restaurant!

Worth the drive from York, ME or wherever you are. The view is breath taking and the Terrace has a full view of the ocean. We had the warm lobster roll and the was to die for and our waiter was OUTSTANDING.
