Service was good, location and ambiance were great. I expected more from the food. I ordered the Shrimp Louie and the salad was alright but the only thing shrimp was very pungent. Would’ve been better off just ordering a Cobb salad. Also, the online menu was not accurate and the brunch options were very limited. Not many breakfast items aside from scrambles.

It could not have been a better day....the sun was out, not too hot sitting on the deck outside with a fabulous view of Lake Natoma!!! Beautiful!! The lunch was wonderful and the service was awesome!!! Will be back!!! Thank you, Judy

Slow seating us. Slow getting food to the table. Salad tasted old. Breakfast quesadilla was so so. Staff seemed sleepy, not very enthusiastic.

They have an amazing view. Our food was not that good, they messed up my order, the people next to us also. We put down the umbrella since it was colder and we’re told we were not allowed to do that and they put it back up. We were told the owner would get mad at them. The perfect place and if they only had good service, food the place would be packed.

More than anything, it was wonderful to be in such a beautiful atmosphere with friends we haven't seen in over a year. Top that with gorgeous view, good food, a solicitous without being annoying waitress, and it was a simply lovely lunch.

This place is CLOSED! We made reservations. Checked out the menu online. Drove over and denied. It looks permanently closed.

We made the reservation through Open Table. The Cliff House wasn't open, at all. In fact, they don't actually open for dining until Wednesday, the 31st of March. A very disappointing start for a Birthday dinner. This establishment shouldn't offer the option to reserve on their site when they aren't even open. I would still recommend Cliff House for dining because we've been there several times in the past and have enjoyed our experiences.

Great booking experience... but pulled in and parking lot and restaurant was closed

Made a reservation, and the restaurant was closed. They didn't answer their phone, never updated the website, and never reached out. Overall, highly disappointed in a restaurant that we had high hopes for. Will not attempt to eat here again.

Had a reservation for 9pm, confirmed it the day before and they were closed when we got there.

When we arrived no one treated us, a manager past by without saying a word. Our server never came back to ask for if we wanted a refill. The food was bland.

Service was great, web site said formal attire and I don't understand why.

Five of us went here for a Socially Distant birthday dinner. We ate on the patio and were able to sit at just the right place. Two of our party hadn't been to this location in 30 to 40 years :)

We had great food, service, ambiance and fun. I had the paella and while it seemed a bit different than I have had other places, it was excellent.

Went there Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary and the experience was wonderful. The food and service was awesome.

Our server Christin was attentive and friendly and even brought out a birthday treat even though we said it wasn’t necessary. The environment was quiet and beautiful, it was a perfect intimate celebration.

The restaurant was closed and reservations were still allowed. Several people arrived with reservations made and had to leave.

All of the negative rating is not the fault of the Cliff House, but your poor app. We were somehow able to reserve a table, however, the app failed to mention that the restaurant was closed! Nice job!

The host was rude and uninviting. Table was requested outside and we were willing to wait but the host made it very clear that she wasn't accommodating us.

Loved the outdoor seating and the attentiveness of the staff. A must go place for a wonderful brunch!

This was our first restaurant experience with COVID -- I called ahead and asked what precautions they were taking. I was told they were only seating every other table, performing temperature checks for staff on arrival, and all staff were wearing masks. We were seated outside (at our request). Our meals were good, but not *very* good. Not foodie level at all, but it is nice to have someone else prepare one's food. The masks were very inconsistent among staff. One staff member had his down on his beard every time we saw him (probably at least 5 occasions). Our server only had it covering her mouth about half of the time she was at our table. The most reliable mask wearer was probably the host, who had his on most all of the time (the level I had expected based on the call). Will we go there again? Probably not? Would I recommend it? It depends -- the view is nice, and the food is good enough. Without pandemic concerns, I would recommend it to my parents' friends, but not to foodies.

Our waiter was incredibly friendly and quick. She was the only wait person for 7 or 8 tables and did a fantastic job. The food was beautifully prepared and we really enjoyed it.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Loved the lemon drop martinis, coconut shrimp, and salmon BLT sandwich.

The restaurant is a bit dated, but the views are great looking out over the river. I had the salmon BLT and the salmon was very dry. The others at the table had no problem with their choices so perhaps it was just an off day for the salmon.

I would have given all 5 stars but when we arrived with a reservation no one was there to check us in. Several employees walked by us but never acknowledged we were there. Finally after about 15 minutes we were seated. It wasn’t crowded so don’t know why we were ignored for so long. Our server was really great though.
