As usual, clever koi was terrific. my husband and i have been dining there since shortly after they opened, returned after the fire, and ordered takeout during Covid. Tonight they had taken my husband's favorite drink of the menu but after speaking to our server she talked to the bartender and voila - favorite cocktail! The crab rangoon appetizer was good but did lack any real avocado flavor. Missed the softshell crab buns but the new shrimp bun is a phenomenal replacement. But the star was Kimchi carbonara - in my opinion the second best dish they've ever had on the menu. Much as i love carbonara this version puts the Italian's to shame! and i must mention the service. restaurants who bring you a fresh glass when you ask for a second tea infuriate me - we live in a desert so quit wasting water. kudos to wait staff who keep an eye on both their tables and everyone elses.

Food amazing as always, was sad to see the kimchi fried rice was gone. Drinks were good. Have a good drink menu, but they don’t show their beer selection. Very accommodating, my brother had has wisdom teeth pulled and they were very understanding with the limited things he was able to eat so they were customizable with his order.

We had dinner there this evening and it was overall a decent experience but I wouldn’t return. Short rib dumplings: 2/5 Five steamed dumplings in broth. It came out at room temperature and we had to ask the kitchen to remake it. The second version was noticeably warmer but still not as hot as it should be. I think this dish has potential if they can figure out how to serve it hot. Krazy Fries: 4/5 Came out piping hot! Crispy fries covered with pieces of pork belly. I think the garlic aioli was a bit too heavy handed. Would recommend getting it on the side to preserve the crispness of the fries and pork belly. Chow mein: 3/5 Not sure why they call it chow mein when they use Japanese yakisoba noodles. This dish was tasty but nothing special. It came out hot but the noodles were a bit overcooked. Bulgogi steak (side): 2/5 We ordered bulgogi steak as an added protein to the chow mein. Our server said it would be sliced but it’s not thinly sliced the way traditional bulgogi is. The steak was lukewarm and not very tender. It tasted nothing like bulgogi. Fried rice: 3/5 Also decent but nothing special. Came out hot which should be expected of all dishes but it seemed hit or miss here so I’m mentioning it. Orange chicken (side): 3/5 We ordered orange chicken as an added protein to the fried rice. It was four battered pieces coated in an orange glaze. It was hot but overcooked (the chicken was tough and stringy, not tender). Kids chicken karaage and French fries: 5/5 For $10, this was the best value and best executed dish of the evening. The chicken was hot and crispy and tender (not overcooked), and the French fries were very crispy and hot. I think this place is okay if you’re not seeking authentic Asian cuisine and not picky about the temperature of your food.

This was our first visit, and it was great. The cocktails and the food were excellent. Our server (Eric?) was beyond fantastic. We plan to go again! NOTE- the drunken noodles and chow mein are marked as vegetarian on the menu, but they are not. The drunken noodles are prepared with oyster sauce- thus an issue for those with shellfish allergies (such as myself)! The chow mein has furikake which contains fish. Fortunately our server caught the drunken noodles risk, and when I switched to chow mein he also played it safe and ensured no furikake was added. We cannot thank him enough!
