They do not offer brunch anymore. so I went to Brownstone next door.
good neighborhood joint for basic fare. Not known for their coffee.
Super relaxed. Staff was great. Drinks were good.
We sat at a high top near the bar. The bartender was working so hard and yet he still was attentive and his service was impeccable. Drinks were awesome the white Sangria was so delicious for a warmer than normal fall day. My daughters had salmon bowls they said they were awesome. I had the chicken dinner and my only critique would be that it was cold (mashed were cold) when it came out. The chicken was warm I am guessing it was timing thing and it was still delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants good food and a fun atmosphere.
Too few servers. They require one waitress to be responsible for all indoor seating. It is not fair to the staff and the customers.
Great energy! Wish the menu had brunch and breakfast options as well, but overall a great atmosphere!
Always a great spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat after work
Food, drinks and service were great. Caesar salad with salmon was really enjoyable and the salmon was cooked exactly to my liking. Street is a little noisy/busy
Was looking for Brownstone (Next to this Clergy) for brunch and this restaurant serves their brunch menu. I set up a detailed reservation for one of my high profile guest birthday brunch and this place went above and beyond what I expected. Left Birthday balloons at the table with chilled glass Mimosas with cute a gold ribbon on them. Kind of spacing on the lady's name who served us that day but she was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this place for brunch. Good food and great prices!
Server was excellent. Came for brunch
Pizza was as usual delicious! And the garlic knots were doughy and perfectly seasoned. With a slightly spicy dipping sauce, they made for an excellent app. Servers were smiling and attentive, especially given it was late in the evening, and had been a slow day.
It was a great evening to dine outside. Clery's menu is terrific with lots of variety. The service was efficient and nice. We were not rushed - had plenty of time for dinner and for just lingering over a drink. I would recommend Clery's to anyone who is looking for a great spot for outdoor dining.
Clery's is a cherished neighborhood spot. Warm and friendly ambience and service combined with good food at reasonable prices make it a "go to" for a beer and burger or mimosas and brunch.
Nice outdoor space that provided a relaxing atmosphere. Hard to believe We were in the middle of the city. Great food and drinks
Also have the best time here! Brandon is one of the greatest bartenders in Boston and always provides quality service. Will continue to come back!
They did not honor the reservation. They had a private party booked for the evening - and the entire restaurant was closed. When I showed up - there was no apology for having taken my reservation for 7 people. They were instead obnoxious and rude
Food was fine, nothing extraordinary. They were either understaffed, even though it was not busy, or service was just that poor. My server took a break to smoke instead of taking my order, my burger was served without fries, no one checked if anything was needed or if everything was OK - disappointing experience.
We went for a late lunch and sat at the bar. It was very quiet, the barman was attentive and oh, those comfy bar stools! We had a couple of beers and ordered the patty melt and crispy chicken sandwich, both with side salads. The chicken sandwich was really good! Patty melt was pretty much blood rare, and we ordered it medium. So, I'd say the fare is pretty standard, but if you're looking for a sandwich and a beer that comes with a damn comfortable bar stool, this might fit the bill!
The food was very good and above average. If you are going with a group, it’s a great place as they have many big tables to accommodate. Because of this, it is very loud and I would only go back with a group of at least four. Not an enjoyable environment for a table of two. Mediocre service, but food was great.
Server was great, did the best she could under circumstances.. seemed like she could’ve used more support and/or maybe one more person on the floor.
Very loud, very busy which is why we go to Clery’s.. it’s fun! Managers/bartenders, turn the music up so we don’t have to here everyone else’s conversations!
All in all, awesome dinner.
Cheers!
The restaurant was basically empty and yet the service was terrible. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks (including waters), with no explanation. We then waited again for the same amount of time to order (still no waters). Ultimately we had to go find the waiter, talking to a fellow waiter in the back, to ask for those waters. The food came out and pieces of the order were missing (they came after we had finished eating, no apology). The food was pretty terrible--bland and cold. We asked for napkins, which we didn't have, and again waited for ~15 minutes. We again had to find the waiter to ask. When he came, he told us that we need to "be patient"--we thought we had demonstrated quite a bit of patience! Obviously you're not coming to Clery's for fine dining, but you expect decent bar food and decent service. We got neither.
Cibo buono.
Sicuramente in un’altra circostanza avremmo lasciato una recensione migliore
Quick bite after a long day, great pizza and beers. Service was fantastic.
It must have been extremely busy because of the holiday parties in offices around the restaurant. The door did not stop opening and closing and for that reason, our table near the entrance was so cold that I had to wear my jacket the whole time. I had made a reservation for 6 but they gave us a table for 5 near the door and we had to squeeze to make room for my 6th person. The food was OK and what I expected for pub food, but probably a little over priced. But that is Boston for you.
They have a really nice brunch menu with a good variety. Some of our orders were messed up (forgotten items we added on) but the food was still good and the waitress was really nice.
Too Many undergrad people.
I’m undecided about recommending. The service was awful, the hostess or maybe he was manager not sure what to do about a wobbly table!
Food was really good. Bar side can get very loud but overall it was a great experience
It was empty, probably didn’t need a reservation on the Saturday but got the Benedict it was delicious eggs were a little over cooked but not the end of the world. Also has an awesome Bloody Mary bar
Everyone seemed happy with their meal. Sandwiches and salads. I am writing this for people who plan to go with a group of people from work etc. Six of us women had lunch after a morning club event. We requested separate checks which they would not do. This was a big surprise as most restaurants seem to be happy to do this for us. Also, they insisted on keeping a credit card before taking our order. We had no alcohol. Never in my life have I had this happen for a lunch when no one was drinking alcohol and six to me is not a large group. The place was almost empty. We are a group of retired ladies. I guess they thought we were a flight risk! I will never book a table again at this restaurant due to requiring to keep a credit card even when no one drinks and not doing separate checks.
All of the food was fantastic. The waitress spent time talking in the backroom while we waited for her to come take our order
Not many people in on Saturday, so quite. Server excellant
Irish type pub. Pretty good food and drink. Got a bit loud while we were there, but the Bruins were playing, so what are ya gonna do?
Menu and food was great, service was pretty bad. We all had to ask for water, none of our waters got filled up one time during the 1+ hour we were there, they brought the wrong food, waiter forgot what we ordered when it came time to pay. BUT I will come back for the food.
We had an early 5:15 reservation on a Friday night. The bar area was (appropriately) loud and very busy, but we asked for a table in a quiet area, where it was much quieter and with few tables occupied. The food was excellent, moderately priced for the location, and the service was professional and truly outstanding.
Good food but the dining area suffered from its proximity to s VERY loud bar.
Loved the food and loved the prices
It was my first time coming to Clerys, and I will be back for sure. Every year I come to Boston for WCDE dance convention and we are always looking for good price and good quality food and Clerys is the place for that
We got a reservation and then when we arrived they said no reservations, only for people playing trivia. Therefore this reservation was completely invalid. The manager was a jerk about it. Our order of food did not match the menu, we were given drinks we didn’t order and no one checked on our food, which was not very good. You should not be allowing people to book a reservation when the restaurant does not uphold them. Very disappointed and angry.
Clery's is a typical bar, but it's good for large groups and they do monthly drink specials. We just did drinks and apps and it made it fairly cheap per person with the drink special and splitting a few things. The college football games were on on all screens and noise levels were pretty good. It got a bit louder after the downstairs club opened up, but for the most part was still a good place for catching up with friends.
