Just meh all around. I used to really like Cleo. My first time at this location
Food as usual amazing! Service she the waitress no personality and rude. Manager came over and we explained. I eat there on average 2 a month so it’s not going to stop me.
We missed the one in Hollywood that has been closed due to the Hotel Renovation. So we decided to try the Beverly location and The Food is consistent. It is definitely a smaller menu compare to Cleo at the Redbury Hotel.
Do not love the ambience nor location. Can’t wait to Cleo in Hollywood reopen.
Cleo gets it right every time! Incredible food, wonderful service and a peaceful atmosphere. I have been eating at Cleo since the week they opened in Hollywood and I have remained a fan now that they are in West Hollywood. This is a restaurant that has remained consistent on all fronts no matter how much time has passed, which is impressive!
Hotel food not at its best great the tv had sports games for my male companion to watch I didn’t mind he didn’t like the food so I lost within the first plate of oily brussle sprouts
parking was free on street
Absolutely amazing from A-to-Z
Always great. My favorite items are the beet salad and the brussel sprouts. You need to try the humus and the chicken, beef and shrimp kabobs/skewers are very tasty. Great seasoning on all foot. Very flavorful and always fresh. Simply enjoy.
Had a great birthday dinner there. The food is fantastic. The servers are also amazing.
Nothing like the main location in la! But it was still okay for drinks. The food was not good at all
My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate our anniversary.. this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! The food tasted to fresh and everything he had was packed with flavor! We felt super good about everything we had and the price we paid except for the lamb shawarma, it was $18 for two small tacos. But other than that it was an amazing experience! We went at 5:45 and the place was dead.. it was awesome getting to have the restaurant to ourselves basically! They even brought us a complimentary dessert of our choice for our anniversary!
I always enjoy myself here .. i went again with my girls for my bday .. we ate we drank we were merry
Food was good, but service really sucked. I expected a lot more. It took the waiter 30 minutes to get our orders, 45 minutes to bring our drinks. That’s asking them over and over for it.
They have a selection of beautiful and very attentive staff
The Hollywood location is superior.
Our food came out cold two times. Slow service. Hostess had attitude and couldn’t seat us despite the place being empty on a Friday night. I would doubt it’ll be around for much longer — bad for the staff, good for your wallet
horrible service, they questioned my tip % in front of my guests, completely unprofessional and embarrassing. just because i did not tip 20%, absolutely ridiculous, will never go to this location again.
Amazing, creative take on Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine. This chef takes this food to another level with creative spices and twists that leave the original dishes in tact but add just enough freshness and difference! This was my third time dining at Cleo and each time, the food and the service have been wonderful.
My only negative is that the music is too loud for my taste, making it difficult to talk with your guests. But the younger, trendy crowd enjoys it I'm sure.
All in all, a great place. As a hint, the patio and the upstairs are generally a bit quieter than the downstairs dining room.
Delicious food, service was adequate, looking forward to my next visit for sure
As a Lebanese man I can honestly say that was one of the best Mediterranean food in a long time. And cost you can not beat with the excellent staff. I even booked again for this Tuesday to impress some clients!
Please clean the giant gazing ball that hangs overhead on the patio. It is really dirty and makes a bad impression
Excellent service as always. First time there for brunch and it’s equally as good as the regular menu. Looking forward to the next visit.
Appetizers and main course were excellent - skip the baklava dessert however.
We had such a great time! The food was absolutely delicious and everyone was so friendly, from the hostess to the food runners to our server. Highly recommend the lebaneh, the lamb shawarma and the tartare. It’s a bit pricy but it’s a place where you’re supposed to order a bunch of stuff and share it, so it can be manageable. Definitely coming back.
they need more server for saturday brunch, only 2 working and there must be an event at the bar, so service is not good and kitchen very slow
Excellent food but way too $$ for what you get. Great service. Good wine list.
The food was phenomenal. Our server was nice and on top of my drink. He made menu suggestions. Would come back again and again
Awful! Kept getting items we didn't order. One of our appetizer dishes ordered at the very beginning didn't arrive until the very end of our meal until upon asking why we didn't receive it. Charged twice for one dish and charged extra for bread which was supposed to be free. Upon complaining about the faulty service and erroneous bill the Manager, Teodora assured that I would get a refund but had to email accounting since her system couldn't process the refund. I emailed the accounting per her instructions and copied her on the email and It's been over a week and I never received a refund and was charged. Disgusting!! Avoid Cleo at all costs unless you want to pay hundreds for heated pita bread and basic hummus, yogurt, etc. Overpriced for below mediocre service and food.
Amazing Mediterranean food. Authentic and delicious plates to share! Highly recommend?
We felt like we were being rushed to order and once ordered felt like we were being rushed to leave
The food arrived too fast, we were 5 ppl and finished dinner in less then an hour. We got the food before the drinks, felt like they just want to get rid of us.
Food is amazing!!!!! Wish the location in downtown was still open :(
Food is always excellent here but the service is very inconsistent. Drinks took forever because apparently there was only 1 bartender working on a Sunday night which sounds absolutely absurd to me. Will definitely continue to dine here but don't be expecting even 4 Star service.
The food is very average for this category of food type, and its over price for this type of food and quality i think the idea was good but got lost in the process trying to make to much money to fast for fast food as this.
The food and service here are excellent. The main drawback is the more limited menu offerings compared to the original on Vine.
The food was delicious but the service was terrible...it was also so noisy that my husband and I couldn’t even have a conversation..and to top that off- there was a couple just about having sex at their table and no one said anything to them- very inappropriate! That is the last time I will go back there.
I didn’t like a dish at all. I took one bite and sent it back. It was over cooked and tasted gross. They still billed us for it which was not cool. The rest of the food was good though.
Truly enjoy this place but goodness the service is painfully slow:/ Writing this to help!
Cleo Tested 4 times: Terrible Service That Can Ruin The Whole Experience
My wife and I eat out with clients, friends and family several times a month in the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area. As great as the restaurant scene is in LA, we sometimes get a little bored with the classic California cuisine. When Cleo opened on third street we were so excited by the menu offering and we couldn't wait to eat there. Sad to say, though, our first experience of Cleo was a big letdown in terms of table service, meals coming to the table late and the waiters not knowing what to do. However, we were willing to write off that first experience as a new restaurant that just needs to work out the kinks. We have since gone back to Cleo three more times and, sad to say, the lack of service just keeps getting worse.
We are pretty easy going and our tolerance for restaurant pain is quite high, but Cleo takes the cake in terms of disappointing service. Each time we go there our food courses never come out on time, nor do we seem to get all the items we ordered. We have had to check with the waiters two and three times to make sure we get the falafels or some other key item. They usually tell us they forgot to put them in and that they'll be out in a just a few minutes, but we still don't get our food until the very end. Perhaps thats a kitchen problem, but its the waiter's job to keep the patrons aware of what's going on. It is not the guests job to keep reminding the waiters of food they ordered. The dirty plates often sit on the tables for long lengths of time and the drink glasses sit empty, even though you might want more to drink. Some of the waiter's attitudes are pretty negative and uncivil, but I would not put the blame on the waiters as much as I would management. The food is hit or miss. (Get the hummus, but don't eat the seafood!) All said, I can not recommend this restaurants to my clients, friends or family. I wish Cleo best of luck in getting things fixed.
Favorite dishes were the Brussels sprouts and the snapper. Portions on the smaller side. Flavors were very good. Biggest criticism was the valet parking - $12, and right next the valet was $7.
The music was very loud and we asked them to turn it down and they did.
Food was great.
Service was very good but a little slow.
I was some what disappointed because I was looking forward to going here and it wasn't what I was expecting. I might give it another try but only for happy hour.
