We ordered a variety of small dishes. They were all delicious. Noteworthy was the Brussels sprouts and the chicken tangin. Will definitely return again.
Food was very good but service needs to be better
The only thing I would suggest is to have the same menu options as the other locations. Especially when the vine location is closed.
Food was great as usual, noise level too loud. Service was excellent. Zack was a great waiter.
I prefer the ambience and decor of Cleo's at The Redbury on Vine.
The hardest part is deciding what to order as everything is Awesome. Recommend the Lamb Shawarma and Brussel Sprouts for sure
Food was great. Enjoyed the hummus and lamb shwarma a lot.
They sat us right away - the hostess was very accommodating when i requested another table than the one she walked us to, which we really appreciated. We brought friends that had never been to the restaurant before and wanted them to have the best experience. Also, the manager that was on duty (can't remember his name but he's from Boston) - not only remembered meeting us the last time we dined there, but he also sent over 2 appetizers on the house and we like them so much we ordered more! Also, he was very knowledgeable about the wine and referred a bottle from the menu that we absolutely loved. Our guests loved the dinner, the place and the ambiance, so it was a win win. Thanks!
Great meal and nice drinks
We ordered a lot of small dishes
None was a disappointment
We loved chicken shawarma and Brussels sprouts . Really good quality ingredients in each dish we tried
Dessert an apple galette was a real bomb
Definitely would come back
Love the patio
A little on the pricier side but oh so delicious Mediterranean cuisine! Share small plates for a fun experience!
One of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The food ranged between tasteless and foul. The chicken tangine was served almost raw the first time and wretched the second time. I strongly urge others to stay away.
Great food and service. Very accommodating for our requests, drinks were very well made and the food was just scrumptious.
Food is always very tasteful and amazing.
Delicious food! Lafa bread is incredible! The service is awful, my steak came out 45 minutes after every other dish. Not okay when we are here to eat TOGETHER.
My newly wife and I are huge foodies and love trying new places. I was so excited to take her the the New Cleo on Thrid st. Once we got there the host told us we could sit in the bar area on a high top table because they have to many large parties coming to be seated anywhere else in the dinning room, (mind you we were on time with a reservation), then she just pointed and left us standing there. So I proceeded to tell her this a date for my wife there are tables available right there in front of us in the dinning room can we please sit there. With a snappy tone she said yes.
Then we order from Stacy (who was Awesome with her service) a few taps style plates. First they all came out one by one which we didn’t like but we’re ok with because we were hungry, the second and third item was supper cold (Rice and Mini lamb sliders) so I asked the bus boy to take them back and redo, they came out with our 3rd and 4th item and were still cold. So I ask to speak with a manager, Eian came over , he was very nice, understanding and resolved our issues. Our overall experience was not cool. The downtown Cleo is nicer and staff / food was great.
Would have been nicer to have an area that was quieter. Still love Cleo.
The food was very good, the service was a little less attentive than I am used to.
My second time eating there. Nicest waiters and friendly diners! The Crispy Lemon Artichoke hummus is amazing as are the Lamb Shwarma. Moussaka and Spanikopita were disappointing, but everything else was fabulous.
Food wad great, the service was a bit slow. Overall a great place to dine.
Loved the food-staff great - ambience comfortable.
Only drawback is parking. The valet was outrageously expensive - 2X’s that of the neighborhood restaurants.
Great food for great prices, only wish there were more gluten free options but had a great waiter who was very honest about all ingredients
Expected something more special and less load or non-exclusive. Felt like a regular restaurant with loud bar and not high class. Definitely amazing for Friday nights and having a good time, but not for special ocassions
We were really happy with the food.
We had hummus ,falafel , superb fresh baked flat bread. Quite reasonable for LA.
I came with my wife & daughter & was seated directly next to the kitchen window only to listen to the sound of pits & pans being banged around while they were being cleaned, the restaurant was not busy at the time & after telling the waiter he simply closed the curtain. Maybe this is where they put families in the back. Didn’t even offer another table. We will NOT be back anytime soon. Plenty of other options on 3rd ! 👎
It was horrible... Service.. Everything from start to finish. No one cared to even work. Food was too oily..& came out cold. Drinks thumbs down.. Hollywood Cleo is amazing.. So this was a big disappointment.
Food was AMAZING!! Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. We’ve been going to Cleo for the last 3 years every time we visit LA. Would highly recommend this place
Server was terrible. Had to flag her down multiple times, she wouldn’t ever come out to the outside area where we were seated.
Immediately greeted by Ian. Very friendly. It had been a while since I have been here (since the opening at Vine). And the food delivered in quality. But what was amazing was the cohesiveness of service orchestrated by Ian the manager. We were sat almost simultaneously as a big party. And we were greeted no more than 3 minutes by the host who took our drink order. To help with the double seated waiter. Our waiter than came and took our order. Spinning plates she did a great job.
SBE I’ve been a patron since you started in LA. And you hit gold with the staff you hired at Cleo Third Street. Well done. And I’ll be back for sure.
Food lagged to come out. Otherwise good experience.
The Lamb Shawarma's were outstanding, so tender they just melt in your mouth. The American Wagu Beef Kabob was just ride, bit rare and tender. The Roasted Cauliflower was the least favourite. We also tried the Moroccan Lamb Tagine. That was quite tasty, the seasonings used for the lamb were not overpowering, but rather subtle. I would recommend going just to try the variety of dishes.
I have dined at Cleo quite a few times. I have to say this time the chef was very heavy with the oil. The spinopitka was dripping with so much oil that when I moved them from the serving plate to a smaller plate, even the new plate was saturated with oil. And the brussels sprouts had so much oil that there was oil pooled under the paper liner. Despite this, the overall flavors were good.
The food is incredible!
Amazing Mediterranean food! Labneh, hummus, latkes, roasted cauliflower, baba- what more can you ask for??
Authentic full flavor menu was a gem. Atmosphere was exciting and casual. Excellence service. Will be going again!
The food is good, but not so special as to justify the price or noise level.
Food is always good but it took literally 30 minutes (No exaggeration) to get our drinks. We were served all of our food before our first drink arrived. They need to work out staff. The original on Hollywood and Vine was much better...They did a nice job though with that space on Third.
Cleo's Mediterraneo in The Orlando Hotel is one three Cleo's restaurants in Los Angeles. This one sits on a popular street corner on West Third with inddor and outdoor seating. Serving Mediterranean food, they do better with Middle Eastern dishes than with Greek dishes . The Crispy artichoke hummus is excellent as are ALL the Kabobs (The skirt steak Kabob in particular is delish). If you're a fan of traditional Moussakah or Saganaki, theirs are good, not great. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating.
Always a wonderful experience! The food is incredible.
I was there for my best friend's bachelorette party. After receiving the check, the restaurant charged the entire bill (several hundreds of dollars) on my card, although we had received 6 separate checks. When noticing the charge after dinner, I spoke to a manager (or host) who advised me to call my bank and dispute the charge. I work in the restaurant business myself and handle credit cards every single day. This is not acceptable, and I should not have to call my bank to dispute a big charge like this. I'm disappointed by how the manager/host was so nonchalant about the charge and simply asked me to call my bank. As an experienced restaurant worker, I know how important it is to be careful and observant when handling other people's money. This was not ok, and I'm clearly not happy about this situation.
On that lunch, we were inside, very loud due to a couple of large tables and very noisy diners. Perhaps I will try outside next time.
The food was delicious. The chef really knows what he’s doing.
The wine had to be chilled, it took a while to be brought to the table.
With my chopped salad, I wanted bread. I was charged $3 extra for it.
Overall, I would give 5 stars for the food only.
It was super great, starters, entrees and desserts.
Best meal we hade in LA.
