Need to book at 9:15 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
We had a reservation and we showed up and we kept being told we will be seated shortly and it took 35 minutes with a reservation to be seated. Made the experience really poor.
Lack of organization for having reservation
Did not acknowledge birthday
Disappointed and it all started with waiting 20 minutes when the table had been open the entire time.
Bad experience with rude front staff and rude/apathetic server. Not sure how places like this stay in business with this level of service. On the plus side, food was delicious.
Excellent service and food
The food was fantastic vibe Electric! Price high Bahamas! Cleo has a great atmosphere and good food the only thing I wish is that my table wasn’t so close to my neighbor that I could hear their conversation which limited my personal conversations.
Great restaurant.... will be returning
AMAZING! Best meal of our trip.
Food was average. Cocktail and bread were the best parts.
We try to go at least once when we are there in Nassau, good food, good ambiance but you have to book in advance in most of time, alway busy!!
Good portions, you can do several small plates or an appetizer and a dinner plate, all the dishes we tried were good.
We loved Cleo. Our server Bobby was wonderful. Every dish we ordered was delicious.
Fabulous ambience and excellent service. The food was wonderful. I had crispy artichoke Hummus with fresh made lavash. Wow, what a treat for your taste buds. My main course was the grilled octopus with celery and potatoes. The plates were the perfect size for a dinner meal. Everything was so fresh. The service was wonderful in that while attentive not annoying. The prices were also within reason. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mediterranean food with the Chef’s little twist. I’ll definitely eat here again when I return next time.
One of the best options at Bahamar - only disappointment was I made the reservation over a month before I ate there and was abasically sat in the lobby of the hotel- looks like they added tables because they were busy. You might think that people that are proactive get some kind of preferred status, people waiting in line got better tables...was enough to make me not want to go back even though I come here every time I'm in Bahamas....
Food and general service was very good. Unfortunately we notified the restaurant through OpenTable and directly when we arrived, that it was my guest's birthday. Absolutely nothing was done, not even a "Happy Birthday" was said and I left there quite disappointed. Will not take that chance again when there is a special event. So great for food, not so for something special.
Marsha is a great server !! Knows the menu well, is helpful & personable. Power failure in the whole resort did NOT stop her from giving greet service! Lights came back on fast (-10m) and every dish was delicious. We ate a lot family style and enjoyed all.
We got a bunch of things to share. Hummus with artichokes was amazing ! ! The greek salad is my favourite ! The octopus was very good as well just the ends were a little to crispy but the flavours were good/ sauce with it was good. The chicken wasn’t my favourite, it has the skin on it and I found it a little to chewy. The Branzino was also delicious. Over all great experience. Staff are very nice. It’s definitely a must try restaurant.
We previously loved Cleo, but since September the food and service has gone seriously down hill. We used to come every few weeks for either breakfast and or dinner. Since September we have been 4 times and each time we have been SO disappointed, the breakfast buffet has changed lots and it appears they are now buying cheaper food and paying little attention to the flavour or taste. Again with the dinner although the menu is still the same the food is very disappointing. The flavours are not balanced, some flavour are far too overpowering (when they used to be delicious) and others lack flavour. Even the bread that we had the other night was stale.... We are seriously disappointed and sadly we will not be marking Cleo one of our regular dinner dates until we hear that the food has improved.
Very poor experience. Our food was very bland with little to no flavor in the various kabobs we had. Everything was over priced. We had the baklava for desert which was nothing more than crumbs on top of ice cream. I mentioned I didn’t like it and was laughed at! We will never go back!
As always the food and service amazing!!!! We go often and always exceptional!
The food was amazing! Filet & Sea Bass were tremendous. Our waiter gave us great recommendations. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts.
Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, great food.
Great dinner, loved the Brussel sprouts and kebab!
The location is great, it is inside the Baha Mar resort and overlooks the pool complex. We ate outside and enjoyed the evening and the quieter space. Inside it was quite lively had had more of a "see and be seen" feel than a fancy restaurant feel. The food was good but you pay a serious premium for being in the resort. The only fresh seafood they offered was the snapper and it was fine but all you get for $40 is a piece of fish. No sides, not even a piece of parsley.
Fantastic experience overall. Service was great. Drinks, appetizer, entrees all amazing. Great ambiance and views. Highly recommend.
My reservations were for 9:45, we were seated at 10:14. No one apologized for the 29 minute delay. We decided to try the prix fixe menu with the Brussels sprouts as an add on. We ordered falafel, Moroccan lamb and sticky toffee pudding. The Brussels sprouts lacked their usual light and crispy texture, the falafel was extremely dry and bland and the Moroccan lamb was simply average. The highlight of the meal was the dessert which we couldn’t finish as we were full off of our lackluster appetizers and entree. I usually enjoy Cleo, but tonight was a real miss. I’ll be back though, even the food wasn’t up to par, the service was excellent.
The food was over salted and horrible. So much so that i left it almost untouched. This was our second time trying to give the restaurant a Chance since it was so acclaimed. I thought perhaps we ordered wrong the first time. So the second time around, I told my waiter twice, and then spoke to another employee about it. Both times they apologized and went to inform their manager. Manager casually glanced my way and said nothing to me. Nothing was reflected in the bill. It was a waste of our last Night. Save your money for Carna- the only spot that did food right in BahaMar.
Cleo was by far the best dining at baha mar, I had the crispy artichokes , I would recommend at tad more salt or even a balsamic reductions to give the dish a lil more zing! I also had the lamb , it was cooked perfect yet a tad more salt or a sauce would have made it better, even a herb crust would did the dish more justice. All the kebabs were perfectly seasoned, the roasted cauliflower was perfect ! The staff made it even more enjoyable ! They were so nice and well versed on the menu. It was a great night! Best night on the resort !
Food was hit or miss. Service was excellent. My steak was cold but the chicken was hot and delicious.
Fantastic food. The roasted artichoke hummus was amazing. The Greek salad tasted authentic with beautiful heirloom tomatoes. Decor was outstanding. I would highly recommend when staying at the Baha Mar.
Very good experience. We choose a bunch of different small plates to share and everything was exceptional. This was maybe our 6th returning to Cleo.
Great food and service
Very yummy food but they rush you and appetizers come out together with main course. And mind you restaurant was pretty empty. Reservations were at 9:15 pm. Could’ve spread that out more. No reason to do that. Otherwise food was very good. Hummus came with pita bread. Brussel sprouts were super tasty. Thin and crunch. Skirt steak kebab very tender. And lamb shawarma exquisite. Beautifully displayed too. Would recommend for food alone. Not as pricey as other restaurants too.
The service was amazing the food was so great we loved it will be back soon
Great choice when staying at the Baha Mar. Delicious Mediterranean food, tapa style.
Exceptional dining experience! Highly recommend!
We were in for our anniversary. Arrived on time for our 9:00 reservation, told we had one other party to be seated then they would seat. The hostesses continued to check in and seat more than 10 other parties. We weren’t sat until 9:20 and they sat is in a terrible area. It was a strip of 4 tables close the hotel bar, which was separated by a a makeshift wall. It was extremely loud because you had the hotel bar music and sounds and then the restaurant as well. It was dark and also next the communal table which had a party of 20. Terrible anniversary experience. No one even acknowledged our anniversary either.
Portions were small , but made to share and order tapas style. I enjoyed it more then the wife. Overall above average place , but for the cost you want a little more consistency across the dishes. I enjoyed the Lamb small plate the most. Avoid the ceviche , it’s below average.
We loved Cleo. The food was different and good. The service staff very nice and professional. We had the nicest waitress.
Excellent service and outdoor seating
Hospitality and Service
For starters may I say that the service was the best I had in all of Baha Mar when I visited in the middle of July. The service and hospitality is bar none at Cleo and being in the restaurant industry myself in Queens, NY I appreciate quality service. The wait staff and runners were on the ball every moment they needed to be, from taking orders in a professional manner, changing/replacing glasses/plates/utensils.
- Feta & Lebaneh (great smooth taste)
- Lamb Shwarma (amazing)
- Halloumi Cheese Saganaki (incredible)
- Skirt Steak Kebab (great marinate)
- Chicken Kebab (not your ordinary)
- Saffron Chicken (something different and unique)
Being Greek from a very authentic Greek family who makes a lot of these dishes, Cleo puts a twist on the traditional Meditterenean dishes with their mix of Morroccan, Lebanese, Greek and Italian flair. They legitimately knocked this place out of the park and their decore alone speaks volumes to the details they put into this place being the top interior decor for a restaurant on the Baha Mar property. (Katsuya is a close 2nd)
Elia the manager of Cleo restaurant was kind enough on our 2nd visit to Cleo during our 7 night stay at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, to come introduce himself to me and my girlfriend and we had a very intellectual business conversation about the restaurant hospitality industry. I appreciate it more than I can express.
Thank. We will be back.
