Cleo at The Redbury
Everything was delicious. First time dining here and I would definitely return.
Very tasty food with amazing service!! Good value for the quality of food...
From the moment we were greeted by Jose, through the recommendations by our waiter, Cesar, we had one of the best culinary experiences in a long time. The food was impeccable, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in south beach. The menu is expansive yet balanced and if you like Mediterranean food, you have to stop here. Every dish we had from the fried potato and burrata and tomato to the lamb tagjne and scallops was utterly perfect.
Nice setting and some good courses. Service was very slow and confused. Nobody checking on us, wine came out half way through the starters after we reminded the servers. No apology. Food came out at different times. Think the staff were more interested in entertaining the bachelorette parties.
Could NOT hold a conversation. Background music was ear-splitting, even before the restaurant began to fill. Fine to go there if you want to text with your dinner partner. Don't go if your party is more than 2 people and want to enjoy each other's company during your meal.
We had the Miami Spice menu and all of the dishes were very tasty. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
Too expensive and not worth it
0ne of the best menu meals that I have tried in SOBE, very good , food is amazing, totally recomended
Perfect spot to celebrate with family and friends !
Everything was great related to the restaurant. The only thing that really was terrible was the valet and his customer service. I would definitely recommend walking or taking Uber/ Lyft.
Cleo's food was outstanding. A real taste experience in a saturated market. Being a local tourist I marvel at the prices, but I guess it goes with the territory. Would do it again. The service was great, attentive and just there when we needed it. Everyone made sure we had a great experience.
Our “go to” when we come to Miami
We wanted great food and a vibrant atmosphere to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday - and CLEO did not disappoint. The food was amazing. Stand outs included the Lamb Tagine and the grilled octopus. The hummus was among the best I have ever had (and we visited Greece this spring) with a little kick. We ordered pitchers of the Lotus Flower and Miami Sour - and have been trying to recreate at home ever since. The space is beautiful (nicer than the photos) and the manager went out of his way to make our daughter’s birthday special - she was able to toss a plate to a communal OPA!
Food was average but I enjoyed. Service needs to be improved.
Excellent food and service. Wow!
Amazing food and service
It was an extremely disappointing birthday dinner the service was slow and it was not packed. The saffron chicken was flavorless and was over cooked and hard as a rock. Extremely upsetting since it was my birthday and I wanted to try the Cleo for the first time.
Great value and food. Lamb chops A+
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Server was nice but inattentive. We never got offered a second round of drinks...
Good food , server was a new and didn’t know a lot of the ingredients.
My family of 4 ate at Cleo at 7:45pm on a Thursday night. It wasn’t crowded at all yet. We ordered so much food and my children (ages 14 and 16) loved EVERYTHING: kabobs, octopus, lamb, potato stacks, Brussels, curry cauliflower... they were talking about it the next day even. I could eat here every night!
One of the best happy hour deals in SoBe. Thank me later.
This place is awesome! You must go here. The decor inside is sophisticated with a cool big picture of cleopatra in the back. The menu is very reasonably priced, especially their mezze dinner! For a table of 5, we were able to choose 7 mezze, 4 nish nush, and 4 mains. This was a LOT of food- all of it delicious! Service was pretty good except at the very end but our server was running around and taking care of a lot of tables so it was understandable. We will be back!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere
Recommended by one of the diners as her favorite spot in Miami. Returning to the restaurant for the first time 3 years, she was very disappointed. The food was not as good as before and the service was not attentive and slow. We had to send three different glasses back to the kitchen that had lipstick stains from previous customers. It was a decent meal but not a stand-out amongst the vast sea of options.
The service was spectacular. The best I’ve had in Miami. However he cuisine claims to be Mediterranean but needs to decide where on the med. It has a lot of Arab influences but there is better Arab food. It’s also has a lot of Greek influences but isn’t Greek. I’m from a foodie city and maybe this flys for Floridians however in my opinion it lacks an identity. The hummas and put was very good. The kababs were ok. The lamb tasted like pork roast.
Again service was spectacular. That can’t be understated. They will take care of you.
I would go there again. I was hoping for more arab type food.
Perhaps the menu changed or we went on an off night - definitely possible as it's not in-season. The food was pretty mediocre compared to what I remember. The Cleo sister location in NYC is well beyond what this tasted like so hope to try that again soon.
My wife Vicki and i really enjoyed our Happy Hour cocktail and dinner, food, service, friendly staff made for a memorable night...we highly recommend the restaurant!...scott galasso
My only complaint was that the service was really slow. A few tables including us had to wait more than an hour between dishes. The food was excellent...I guess it was worth the wait.
Wonderful ambiance, even better food and service. The specialty cocktails were especially good.
Seriously... 3 hours after our 8pm reservation and several of our dishes still hadn’t arrived. Worthless manager that never even stopped by the table to apologize. And a mandatory 20% tip added to the crap service and high waiter. THIS IS NOT RHE RESTAURANT IT WAS BEFOE IT CLOSED AND RE-OPEN IN NOVEMBER.
every table was having problems. We watched other tables give up and walk out. And it wasn’t that crowded.
Sorry, Cleo, your days are numbered.
No mucha comida para lo que nos costó la cena. El último plato tardo más de media hora y además la promoción que estaba en carta no la aplicaron.
From a food only perspective, delicious and nice presentation. I am very upset that the staff failed to point out that they had included an 18% gratuity on our bill. They were well aware that we were visiting them for the first time. Being from another area where this IS NOT a practice; it just would have been a courtesy to do so. As a result we tipped $50.00 on a $136.00 bill. Feeling a bit burned around the edges. Word to the wise; read carefully.
The food was amazing but the service all around was lacking. We ordered the prixe fixe for each of us, which is a good deal for what you are getting but we did not need to order all of that food. Hostesses were rude and the server was lacking.
I was really looking forward to dine at a Cleo after recently dining at Cleo in LA. We ordered an array of mezze plates that came out quickly.
We asked our server to hold the mains so that it was not rushed - the message did not get to the kitchen and all the meals hit the table in a 30 minute window.
Furthermore the skewers were dry
The waiter was kind enough to take back and cancel one of the mains.
I enjoyed my experience the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and patient.
Excellent food, excellent ambiance, excellent cocktails, and excellent service!
We seriously came back to Miami for the food at Cleo. And the Janapolitan cocktail. ;)
Beautiful location and great service. We love tapas and Mediterranean food so we were excited to go. The eggplant was fabulous, the impossible burger meatballs were creative and spicy. We didn’t enjoy the cauliflower with the curry seasoning or the falafel. The cauliflower was over seasoned and tasted far eastern (not middle eastern or European) and the falafel was dry - I think the portions were so small that they were over cooked.
The bartender incorrectly make me a dirty gin martini instead of Tito’s dirty martini. He did the same thing to the table next to me.
There are so many restaurants to try, I wouldn’t go back.
Great restaurant and amazing clean (non greasy) food that tastes great. Sit inside it’s far nicer than outside.
I have not written a absolutely terrible review until now. This restaurant was bad from beginning to end. Our waiter was rushed and did not explain the menu properly. It turns out that the kitchen got behind and they started losing orders. We did not get our food I for an hour and a half. The portions are small and the food is not that interesting. Go to Byblos across the street and have a great meal with one of the better restaurants in town. Everyone in our party agreed that this was one of the worst experiences in a long time in Miami.
