Have dined here many times over the years. The excellent cuisine is consistently outstanding, the service consistently friendly and adept and the ambiance is consistently delightful. The one thing that changes is the brilliant decor that changes with the seasons with a special display for holidays that cannot be surpassed! Give Clementine's a try and prepare to be charmed.
The holiday decorations were second to none. The food has a New Orleans flair to it that was delicious. Excellent service.
Food is always outstanding. Service Great... Will be back!!
Love the veal celementine and the Ceasar salad
food is outstanding!! save room for desserts as bobby's bread pudding is unmatched
Excellent food and service. Extremely nice people.
We've been here 6 or7 times and it's always fantastic. If we didn't live over 2 hours away, we would be there at least once a week!
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time at Clementine's. The food was incredible as was the ambiance, not to mention the excellent service!
Exceptional Cajun cuisine that has been spot-on each and every visit. Heartily recommend everthing on the menu, including the salads, apps, and entrees. All the dishes are nicely spiced, as you might expect of Cajun cuisine.
This restaurant is beyond awesome!! Bobby and Michael are wonderful and do an excellent job! Recommend this restaurant to everyone...one of the best there this and as far as Christmas time decor better than any New York restaurant ....food is outstanding!!!
Food is always great. Not inexpensive but well worth it!!
Clementine's is one of my favorite restaurants. The decor is unique and so interedsting, and the food is always delicious. The ooey gooey pudding dessert is to die for! I highly recommend!!
I had no idea what to expect. Small little place our friends said was good . Reminded them of a New Orleans restaurant. You walk in and are greeted immediately. The place was decorated to the nines with beautiful Christmas displays. It's BYOB and the waitress immediately offered to open the wine for us. Tables are small so the ice bucket had to sit on the floor. Go with the recommendations of the waitress! Everyone was excellent . We had jambalaya , a little on the spicy side. I had eggplant scampi. Very garlicky but light. Don't skip dessert, gooey butter cake was outstanding( it tastes nothing like the name)
The Christmas atmosphere, the stupendous decorations and the food was terrific!
An authentic taste of New Orleans right here on the jersey shore....not fine dining, per se...but food and service is on par with top restaurants, its just a little more casual and fun!
try the scallop, fried brie and fried oyster apps- to die for!
The menu is overwhelmingly amazing, but don't worry- no matter what you will leave very full and satisfied! Great place to share and try new things
This had to be my 10th time I have been there. They always nail it. Ray L.
We hadn't been here for a few years and forgot how great the food was. Everything was perfect, only wish we had room for dessert!
This was a special occasion as it was my significant other's birthday and Clementines did not disappoint. From the unique seasonal (Halloween)decor, the warm welcome by the owner, to the attentiveness of our waitress, everything was top notch. The appetizers(Scallops,/BBQ Shrimp), main course (Seafood Jumbalaya /Moist Short Ribs) and dessert (Moist Strawberry Shortcake with birthday candle) were excellent...there were many unique choices on the menu, plus specials. We will definitely be back for the Christmas decor or sooner...
We'll definitely return! Loved our dinners, salads were ample enough for four people, fresh and delicious. Portions were plenty and sides were great. The tuna was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The wait staff was very attentive and provided a good description of the specials. Only complaint was that the tables are small for four guests, we were slightly cramped.
We usually go around Christmas to see the lovely display of trees, but wanted to go for our anniversary which was 10/26. The place was still beautifully decorated for fall/Halloween. The food was amazing as usual & it was just a great night. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We have dined at Clementines three times in the past three weeks. It is consistently wonderfu!
The ambience is special. Mary, our server was FANTASTIC!! The food was delicious and plentiful. We can't wait to go back to try other dishes and see how the place is decorated for Christmas. The whole place is a labor of love. My new favorite restaurant, for sure!
The good is just so good and the ingredients are perfect
We are kicking ourselves for not coming here sooner! The food and service are excellent. Good portions. The decor is just beautiful. It is our favorite restaurant in the area.
A fun treat for the senses. Enjoyable from start to finish. Great food, great staff and terrific ambiance.
Eating at Clementines was one of the best choices I've made, food-wise. We tried to move our reservation up an hour and were a bit surprised they could not accommodate (October being an off-season) but once we tasted the food, we fully understood why. The staff is SUPER friendly & accommodating as well as knowledgeable. Owners greeted almost every table. Menu was simple but some of the best food I've ever had. I rarely take time out to review a restaurant, but this one really blew my wife and I away.
Every thing was amazing from the appetizer to our perfectly cooked ribeye all the way down to our delicious dessert. Have gone to other restaurants and have paid more but haven't enjoyed it as much as Clementines.
I went to Clementines with high expectations because it was highly recommended. At first glance I noticed the plastic table clothes as if you were in a pizzeria. We were seated promptly but when asked to be seated in the other room which seemed a little more cozy we were told no, even though there were open seats in that room the entire night. What else can I say, the waitress was nice and attentive, the bread was horrible and the meal was OK.
Our foursome are still raving about our meal, and that's after some excellent meals we had that week. Our baked Brie app with apple slices and grapes, drizzled with honey was a great starter, as was the spinach salad with warm mushrooms and Gorgonzola. Two of our party had the short rib special and loved it. I had the skirt steak, cooked perfectly, with Gorgonzola cheese, some greens and cherry tomatoes--excellent! Our desserts were also exceptional-- an almond joy concoction and gelatoes. The only drawback was being seated in the main room, which is cramped and very busy. But the food was superb, which is why we've been back several times.
The food was soooooooooo good! service was amazing. Just simply a great place to eat.
The boneless pork ribs and mango habanero slaw were out of this world. The blackened catfish special is now one of our favorite dishes of all time. Amazing food
Went with friends for dinner. Seated promptly. Menu clearly stated 2 hour maximum for table. We had exotic salad special...delicous..as was the gumbo and fried oysters. Main courses of jamalaya, shorts ribs and Mahi Mahi also outstanding! Dessert did not disappoint..however waitress forgot one Gelato and it took forever to get it. Couldn't find an ice bucket for our wine. 5 minutes left to go before our 2 hour maximum and the waitress asked us to leave as she needed to set our table. Bottom line, if you don't mind spending top dollar for good food and don't mind getting kicked out, try it!
My DH and I ate here on a Saturday night in September. After reading a lot of reviews on line I was ready to meet Michael, but he was very charming. The decor is rather interesting, I did not find it dark.
Our server was excellent, she had several other tables but was very professional and available.
We both started with excellent salads, I had the shrimp and eggplant. We both had the wonderful butter cake for dessert and some good coffee. We never felt rushed to leave for the next seating.
Michael and his team made my daughter's birthday dinner special. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was just right. I always enjoy a dinner here and would encourage others to try it too.
Delicious Cajun food. Fried oysters, catfish and fantastic gooey cake for dessert .
We have been here several times, and have never been disappointed! Everything is fabulous...especially the butter cake. We will be back again!
Fantastic food. Try the bbq rib appetizer, the grilled shrimp goat cheese salad. The service is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great. The decor is New Orleans even the rest rooms. It is cozy, clean and affordable. The resrurant is small and they require reservations and a 2 hour limit which is more than enough time and allows Resturant to seat again. It is a blob and there are plenty of places to go for an after dinner drink allowing enjoyment of Avon. This is a gem for two or a group. We went as 8. Will be back again as will the others that were with us.
Fun, small place with interesting but dark interior. All the food was fantastic. Butter cake for dessert is a must.
I went here with several colleagues for a casual dinner and was blown away by the service and the food. I had the blackened catfish and It was literally the best I have ever eaten. We all agreed this was a place we will return to many times.
Great food and atmosphere !We have never had a bad meal there. The Oyster app with the horseradish sauce is to die for. Bread pudding excellent! All entrees delicious !
Food was most enjoyable, tasty, and served very prettily ... albeit a bit spicy - which is to be expected in New Orleans type service. Desserts looked wonderful, although we were too stuffed to order any. Appetizers were beautifully presented and welcomed. Waitress was super-hyped and most proficient and helpful. Owners checked that all was well. Prices were in line with better restaurants in the county. BYOB is delightful policy. All in all a most lovely and enjoyable evening.
