Adjacent to Clement, The Bar offers a bewitching menu of suggested and made-to-order cocktails, a selection of wines and champagnes available by the glass, and small plates echoing the Clement menu with a touch of an Asian influence as a nod to the hotel company’s heritage.

Pre-theater dinner menu was great and food was delicious. Service was excellent and attentive. Setting is elegant, and very comfortable. Pre-theater menu is a bargain for this luxurious midtown setting and level of dining. Only complaint is Clement's wine list and drinks are very expensive, with few reasonably priced bottles.
Bonus is advance request, complimentary transportation to theater district.
Great food, excellent service
Recommended by my daughter to return to this restaurant after more than 10 years. We were not disappointed. Clement "fusion" lunch was delicious and delightful. Hearty for three senior ladies.
Absolutely appalling service, Christmas Day ruined!
Great Christmas morning breakfast with family. Food was gorgeous and decor in hotel was amazing for Christmas time.
Really nice dining room, and creative menu choices. It was a very enjoyable dining experience. Wines by the glass are $24 and up. No bargains here-but-it’s the Peninsula. The Holiday decorations were spectacular!
Awesome restaurant! Great food, impeccable friendly service, lovely atmosphere.
Every visit has been perfection. As always the duck is prepared perfectly. Also enjoy the fish and steak dishes. Great food, fantastic service. Always a winning evening.
Marco will orchestrate your dining experience to perfection.
We don't usually eat at hotel restaurants but Clement disproved our prejudice. Attentive service by multiple waiters, maitre'd and other folks, very nice food and fabulous (and very expensive) wine by the glass. Altogether a great meal.
Amazing service, good, ambience, view!
Always give this restaurant 5 stars across the board but this time the service was very rushed and the server would often walk by our table even after asking him to stop so it was hard to get their attention. Nonetheless it would not stop me from coming again but definitely not the usual high class service I’ve become accustomed to after dining here for the last 4 years.
I brought my best friend here for her birthday. We wanted a fancy night out and Clement certainly delivered. When I reserved the table, I indicated that we were there for a birthday, and they followed up with a beautiful tempered chocolate mouse cake with a candle in it for her! I also had requested that we get a table by the big window so we could have a nice view, also followed through! Our hostess was very kind and took our coats to coat check. Our server, Luis, was a dream. So nice and so thoughtful. Seriously, some of the best service I've had in NYC to date. The whole hotel staff (in and outside of Clement) were lovely! The food was scrumptious. We had the farm chicken and the beef wagu--both very filling and succulent!
World class hotel that has extraordinary service down to a science. Unfortunately the dining service experience left much to be desired. The food was wonderful, but when you have to flag a server to even bring menus and water and the meal was severely delayed, even with a couple of apologies from the staff, the evening experience was a disappointment.
All good, mad about the fact that they included tip without letting you know. I realized after I left, since I also included tip. Ended up leaving 37% tip, which I think is excessive, but more than that, is the feeling of being tricked into it. Not good.
Excellent eggs benedict with Salmon - VERY pricey mimosa! $24 for 1 mimosa!!!!
not good price for thanksgiving buffet
A quiet, beautiful restaurant with excellent cuisine, attentive service. Just right for my pre-thanksgiving giving thanks feast with friends.
Great food , service
This is the second time we have had Clement's pre-theater prix fixe. The food and service were wonderful. My only complaint is that while the price of the prix fixe is great ($43.00 pp) the price of alcohol is high so we end up skipping wine or cocktails. Really great choices on the prix fixe and surprisingly large portions for such an upscale restaurant.
The worst service — waited 20 minutes to get attention or coffee or even a glass of water then when the waiter did (grudgingly) come over (the first waiter I got attneion do said — I’m running around here! And I’m not your waiter!) the actual waiter for our table was dismissive when I said — I got here at 9:55 and it’s 10:20 and I’ve not seen a cup of coffee. He reacted by cracking jokes and interrupting our conversations and we were obviously having a biz breakfast and this waiter was not respectful to me or my guest. When she asked “where’s the lady’s room?” he said “Acrually we don’t have one!” Hilarious? Not really. I’ll never go back!
Really good place for a business lunch. Great atmosphere. Difficult to find if you don't know where it is though as it is located in a hotel.
Very personalized service as always.
Food is refined without too much creativity, which is good.
The room and ambiance allows for sophisticated client treatment.
It was our first night in the city and this place was just so classy and delicious! I will be dreaming of their lobster bisque until I can get back there again! Wonderful!
Clement is a beautiful room, with impeccable service. It was surprisingly empty, though, on a Friday night. The food itself was rather safe, although elegantly presented and served in very generous portions. I only wish the chef were not so restrained in seasoning. The wine list had an impressive range, and the pre-theater prix fixe is truly a steal.
I typically go to Clement once every three months to experience the new seasons menu.
It’s one of my favorite spots in the city which is why I decided to celebrate my boyfriends birthday there.
They were more than kind to us in helping celebrate the special occasion. Marco recommended the perfect bottle of wine for our meal selection.
Truly a five-star experience with ten-star staff.
Perfect adult brunch— beautiful space, quiet conversation level and wonderful food.
We can't wait to go back. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent food. And the service was sublime. It's perfect for a romantic rendezvous.
Always a pleasure. Always made to feel like the most important customer!
Great restaurant! Right on Fifth Avenue but on 2nd floor. Lovely, quiet and elegant. Staff makes you feel like you are the most important clients in the world. Food excellent. I have Celiac and they could easily accomodate me!
My friend and I had a superb dinner, with wonderful service, at Clement’s. Highly recommend.
Clement is an excellent hotel dining room. Interior decor is immaculate. Food and service are excellent.
Awesome brunch location w/amazingly good food.
Beautiful space, quiet and cozy. We went for the tasting menu which they said they had not done for sometime but were able to accommodate us. We chose the six course with wine pairings and all was delicious. They did a great job for a spur of the moment dinner. The salad was the only disappointment. We would do it again! Keep it up , the tasting menu is so fun, thank you to the staff who did a nice job.
The service is wonderful at the Clement. We had the pre show three course before a Thursday show with the shuttle service. Because we had a seven curtain we did not have time for dessert. They suggested we come back after the show and have our dessert then which we did. It was a lovely end toa great evening.
A quiet second floor casually elegant venue w notable wine list located in the Penninsula Hotel. Excellent food and service.
service was impeccable they had Warhol and Basquiat art on the walls and when we left and asked them to hail us a cab to get to Lincoln Center they gave us their town car with no charge this is what you call going above and beyond the call of duty
Went for restaurant week on Friday evening and it wasn’t crowded. Food were flavorful. Dessert was not heavy or overly sweet. Atmosphere was calm and quiet, except there was a party with a baby sitting at table in the center of the room. So the screaming was amplified.
My daughter and I loved the ambiance and felt like royalty when we arrived. We were so looking forward to our dining experience since we share the name. We were not disappointed with the food, service, and setting. We will be returning in October.
A quite place within a hotel. Very good food. Waiters are knowledgeable about the menu.
