The food was good. The service was excellent. This is perfect for a business lunch
Excellent service; friendly and discreet. I almost always have salmon - and it simply grilled is very good.
Very nice and civilized
Clement is a delightful spot for an elegant lunch!
Great food and great atmosphere- definitely coming back!
Go now. Damn good to amazing!
My friend and I were looking forward to this restaurant for our annual splurge. The menu was pricey, however the food was disappointing because it was not cooked to order, rather, it appears to have been pre-cooked and reheated. As a cook myself, I know when something is cooked to order, and the juices are still sizzling from the food. in the case of both entrees, this was not the case.
Amazing banana and pecan pancakes!!!!
Lunch at Clement with a friend on 12/26/19 was delightful. The moment we entered the Peninsula Hotel we were surrounded by a cheerful, festive atmosphere. The restaurant in this hotel is the perfect setting for an elegant meal, with tables that are nicely spaced, which enables good conversation. The food is excellent in flavor and presentation. The wait staff is attentive and pleasant.
Maybe not for Christmas dinner, I don’t know what the restaurant is normally like for A La Carte. For Christmas dinner there was a seafood and salad buffet and the seafood was lovely. The main was very small but perfectly formed and dessert was another buffet, if not a little underwhelming. It just wasn’t worth $715, not because $715 is a heavy price tag, but because it didn’t ‘wow’ me.
The appetizers and desserts were really good but the main dish was okay.
Service was borderline negligent. Food arrived late and almost cold. Had to ask for everything. Disappointing for the reputation and prices.
We had an awesome time on Christmas Eve. The venue was beautifully decorated, the staff was amazingly nice, friendly and gracious and the food was delicious.
The good was fantastic but the service was not good. Our coffees was drained before they offered a refill and we were not checked on once our food arrived. The service was very disappointing. We love the Peninsula in Chicago and have always had a great service but NYC service was subpar.
Very classy dining experience. Not cheap but if you want white table cloths, nice silverware, great ambiance, attentive service, great food - this is a great option. The wine was poured without measuring - how refreshing! The food was delicious - went for lunch, I had the Norwegian eggs with potatoes cooked just right. Great sauce - rich and smooth, not heavy and gooey. You put up with some pretension from other customers but that comes with the territory. Highly recommend it - great NYC experience.
Spectacular food and service as always!
Very comfortable, delicious food, able to have easy conversation with friends
Food and presentation was excellent. A wonderful blend of flavors and textures! Waiter was very informative and friendly. Would highly recommend!!
We expected more at the Peninsula. Clément was very average, nothing that rose above standard. The food was fine, but not as flavourful as what you would get at Pret or Dig down the street. True, it’s served in elegant surroundings, but we still thought at that price point there should be a little wow factor.
The staff always treat me like a welcome guest and almost like family. The hotel and restaurant are decorated fabulously for the holidays. Congratulations!
Well done - nice ambience and good service.
Good wine list and attractive bar scene.
Much improved vs past years.
‘‘Tis the season for meeting friends and celebrating. Loved my rack of lamb done the way I requested. My husband and my girlfriend had the duckling entree done two ways. Very enjoyable and tasty. Will return for another meal .
Très bonne expérience pour le brunch
Personnel très professionnel et très aimable.
Un peu bruyant ...
Bon rapport qualité / prix pour des mets raffinés
After going to Clement at least 10 times, it is still a wonderful place to go to. It is an oasis away from the crowed streets on NY. The food and service are always great. I can't recommend Luis and Marco highly enough. The prices are high, but if that does not bother you, check it out.
Amazing service. Friendly and attentive. Amazing food, Really good quality! I had the lobster and eggs which was excellent and my friend, the Mexican breakfast which too was very good.
Services bit distracted, tables seemed isolated in relation to the dining room appetizers were good (OCTOPUS) and kale salad but entrees were bland,a bit tepid
Holiday lunch was FANTASTIC
They opened at 5:30pm so we waited in the bar. Superb Malbec! .. and we were able to bring our wine to the dinner table.
Having had fish and steak earlier in the week, we opted for the Amish chicken which ordinarily wouldn't have been a protein of choice at an upscale restaurant. But our waiter assured us of our selection with such an amazing description that we couldn't help but wait in trusting anticipation. And he was right! Chicken was delicious and just right for us! The portion was also more than we could manage.
Service was "invisible" and impeccable. They didn't hover but they were always present with service and attentive to our needs.
I was initially nervous that the dinner at Clements would be super expensive. But one can eat there comfortably as there are dishes reasonably priced (for New York). Yeah, I would eat here again.
The service was quite attentive, and the food was delicious. I was very pleased with the gluten-free bread, and the steak and wine was phenomenal. We arrived just as they opened and had a reservation, so there was minimal wait, and it was nicely lively as our dinner progressed.
Wonderful in every way
Sitting in the window overlooking 5th Avenue in a snow storm, we had a delicious meal and superlative service. Clement is a favorite...I highly recommend!
Wonderful food and service would definitely recommend and will go again
Wonderful brunch! Bloody Mary was spot on as were the oysters!
This Thanksgiving dinner (or event, as I like to think of it) is my favorite meal of the year! The food is unbelievably delicious and plentiful. If someone likes a variety from which to choose (including turkey), rather than just a plate of turkey and fixings, this is the place for you! It is an expensive meal but, when you take into account that the buffet has to last all day and that the food must be constantly refreshed to keep it from drying out, there must be a lot of waste and, therefore, the price starts to look more and more reasonable. The restaurant is lovely, the staff is amazing, the food delicious and the live music provides a lovely backdrop to conversation at the dinner table. In short, I love this venue for Thanksgiving; it is a tradition in my family after many years of coming here and I intend for that to continue!
The service is very rude and unprofessional.
Clement and the staff at Clement are the warmest most attentive staff we’ve known. They make us feel at home when we arrive and accommodate any of our or our children’s needs. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Especially during holidays! Easter is grand and Christmas even better. The hotel is always properly done up in the most stunning decor and then the food and ambiance accentuate the rest.
The food was actually very good. The duck was cooked to perfection and drinks were also delicious. Service was top notch. However, the restaurant was practically empty when we got there (9:00 pm on a Saturday). It felt like a really cold hotel-restaurant. There might be other options to try if you're looking for a nice ambiance and a fun night, as well as great food.
All of the staff was fantastic! Had such a good experience definitely will visit again!
