Disappointing beyond words. We stayed at the Penisula which is a wonderful hotel. This restaurant was not good at all. We made reservations for an 11:30 brunch on a Sunday. Showed up on time. There were maybe 6 tables occupied in the restaurant and were told several times they would be right with us, where they went was a mystery since it wasn’t crowded at all. Once seated after about 19 minutes edit, (a very nice table I might say overlooking fifth avenue). I had to flag the waiter down. He took our order and never asked if we wanted a beverage. We had to call him back to ask for coffee and tea. I ordered the lobster bisque... bland and you wouldn’t have known it was a soup for lobster if it didn’t have the lobster in it. Also had the Caesar salad had fresh romaine but the dressing was anything but Caesar. Oily croutons.. not worth the money. My husband had a $28 bagel with two small slivers of cream cheese and smoked salmon. They never asked if he wanted it toasted. It came toasted which he didn’t want but ate it anyway. Bill was $90. Waiter never came to see how things were. We had to ask for more coffee... save your money and go somewhere else, waiter clearly didn’t want to be there.

The ambience was perfect. Not to loud and a lovely welcoming and clean place. The service was very good..although the waiter seemed to be disappointed that we didn't drink. There are reasons for that and I wish the waiters and waitress would be more sensitive to that...we are easy going and great tippers (we waited tables in the past)..The place gives you a sense that you are in for a delicious meal but the actual food needs a knowledgable chef's touch. I am sorry to report that the food was very bland. .I had lobster bisque and sole that was recommended by the waiter...both were very boring. Sorry to say that we will not be revisiting.

Every time I come for brunch I look forward to the food. Not only that, the calm that is in the restaurant. The service is impeccable, everyone working there are so attentive to the individual's need. As I mentioned before the food really is delicious, the menu is not limited by any means, but it is not pages, so everything on it is worth a second thought, so you receive what you would like to splurge on and savor.

The portion is huge. I shared a appetizer crab cake with my partner. I ordered rack of lamb for main course and my partner had braised beef. We only finished 1/4 of the main course. Crab cake is good with caviar source. Main dishes are not bad but really way to much.

Marco and Louie and the rest of the staff make this a special place.

The ambiance and service were excellent. I had ordered lamb chops pink which they said was medium. They came well done and tasteless. Someone else was there a week before I was and had the same experience. The waiter and captain were wonderful about asking if I wanted something else, so I ordered salmon since I didn't think the chef could do lamb chops. The salmon was excellent. I would definitely go back but I hope the chef learns how to make baby lamb rib chops another way besides well done! Rest of food and dessert was excellent and the service was especially warm and attentive.

I had dined at Clement last year, and was very impressed with the food and the service. This time, we very much liked the appetizer course of green lentil soup and the dessert of warm chocolate tart with vanilla crême bulée with crumbled cinnamon "strudel"; but we erred in choosing the pasta dish (fresh pasta with a dollop of leek pesto but overwhelmed by sautéed and fresh arugula) rather than the fish dish (seared salmon with braised kale and quinoa), which we chose only because we had eaten salmon a few days earlier. Live and learn. And the chef appears to have learned, too: one day later, the pasta dish now features "honey butternut squash pesto, sautéed kale, and Tarantaise cheese." Our servers were very gracious and provide us with some vanilla gelato, gratis, to accompany the chocolate tart -- one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. I look forward to dining here again.

Took advantage of restaurant week menu to try this beautiful restaurant in the Peninsula Hotel. The food choices were great - I had the tuna crudo and salmon - both delicious, and the coconut ice cream was amazing. The service was excellent - servers were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. We did order coffee, however, which, of course, was not part of the fixed menu price and it was $9 which I found a little high-priced even for the Peninsula (I should have had a glass of wine...LOL). Based on my experience, I'd definitely recommend.

We went for restaurant week. It was the second time, and once again, it was outstanding. The service is impeccable. The menu was great. We all had lamb chops, which came with delicious middle eastern sides. Appetizer choices were also terrific, as we're the desserts. And the $50 bottle of wine was a good value. Will splurge on a regular meal sometime soon.

Soup of the day with clauliflower was delicious and served hot, not warm. Salmon was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Mango coconut dessert with House coconut ice cream finished off the 3-course meal to a great experience! I highly recommend it! I am going back next week.

Clement offers a quiet and dignified atmosphere, excellent service, and fine food. The wine list is also very good, and the highly professional waitstaff provide helpful but unobtrusive service. One of our favorite restaurants.

This place has never disappointed me. It's one of my favorites in the city. Been here often, including not for restaurant week. Great for every occasion!
Very attentive wait staff. Everything cooked to perfection and the wine was excellent. Considering using restaurant for private event.
