Fresh, Immediate, Healthy in Melbourne CBD,
Claypots Barbarossa is created to reflect this need. There will only be a few items served at any one time but the menu will change almost hourly. It will be Seafood cooking in large cauldrons as it might have been during the times of Pirate Barbarossa at a Mediterranean Port. Beer on tap and half liter wines, European style, always pouring for a perfect homely city getaway any time of day. At 5.30 pm every week day we will have an antipasto hour with a free buffet! Then will continue into the night with tapas selection. It will also be a great party venue for private functions. Standing room only. Cheers to healthy eating and healthy drinking!

We care in and out booking had apparently not worked, they say us next to the open door which was freezing and I specified that my partner could not have gluten or dairy. They accomodated none of that and we left immediately. Staff were very unhelpful and couldn’t have cared less.

Food was tasty but service was below par. We were seated next to the entertainer so was noisy & difficult to hold a conversation.

We had a incredible experience at our last dinner of our stay in Melbourne. From the quaint location on a lane way, to the accordion players, to our waitress and the food - it was all exceptional and made for an unforgettable evening!

This restaurant has outstanding and innovative seafood. If you get there before 630 for dinner, you may partake in free buffet appetizers.

We had our booking confirmed via Open table. Turned up to find the restaurant closed. Very frustrating!!!!

Quite disappointing. We go to claypots in st kilda all the time. The waitress didn't remember our order correctly and come over to double check twice. Then the fish we wanted sold out because she didn't write our order down. Then what was even worse. The wait between our two dishes was over 45 mins and it wasn't even that busy. Won't be going back. Not a nice night out.

Apparently they don't take bookings via Opentable even though we got a confirmation text, be careful and maybe call too! Music on a Friday, though great, can be a little loud especially if seated indoors
