    We were at the Gardiner Museum and decide to eat at Clay on a whim. I'm glad that we did. It was a cut above typical museum cafe fare and was a great lunch option. They were trying out a new menu and welcomed a bit of constructive suggestions.

    Visited here today for lunch for the first time and had a lovely experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were all incredible! The highlights of our meal were the “This and That” and the “Chopped Salad”. Can’t wait to come back and visit here again!

    The space is chic and the menu is perfect for a lovely midtown lunch. The service is attentive and pleasant. The disappointment is the small size of the portions for the price -- particularly the salads. While nicely prepared, presented and tasty, a few asparagus on a small plate with the addition of pieces of crispy tofu for $30 is a rather poor value.

    I was early for my reservation but the staff found an excellent table for me right away. The staff was eager to help and enthusiastic about our lunch choices, even bringing side plates so my friend and I could share. it's my second lunch there and I will return.
