Food was great. The menu has a lot of offerings to meet different tastes. However, service was soooo slow. We had to ask to order drinks, to order food, for more water, for the bill, etc. That kind of ruined the experience.

We were very pleasantly surprised on our first visit to the Mpls Clay Oven. A very clean and simple “loft warehouse vibe” decor and comfortable seating greeted us. The menu was extensive and descriptive which was helpful for someone unfamiliar with Indian cuisine. Service was friendly and efficient and our food selections were delicious (and generous). With a 7-level spice rating, we went with a Minnesota safe “2” and will bump it up a notch or two next time. A definite new favorite spot in the downtown east neighborhood.

I am still learning about Indian food, but my dining companion who is very familiar with Indian cuisine deemed it excellent! Everything I tried was tasty. The service was incredibly attentive, non-intrusive, and pleasant. The restaurant has a a fresh feel, with a lot of windows and calming colors. I will definitely return.
