   Had a delicious lunch - crab salad - not cheap but good portions and delicious, freshly prepared and very tasty.. Very attentive & friendly staff Restaurant located in beautiful village Definitely will return!

   Excellent service, we wanted to sit outside away from the wind and were allowed into the garden which was actually closed, they couldn’t have been more helpful. Food is excellent, very tasty and delicious, not too fancy but good portions.

   Lovely afternoon tea! Definitely worth the money would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place for lunch.

   The Sunday roast was one of the best ever experienced. Beautifully cooked, more than enough, and super desserts.

   Prebooked for a Sunday lunchtime. Welcomed on arrival on told what table. Took a bit of time to take a drinks order but quite busy. Ordered food with the drinks. We shared a huge portion of Whitebait had to ask for another dip as range out. Mum had the Lobster bisque which she enjoyed. I had the beetroot wellington which wasn't quite what I was expecting but very nice. Loads of veggies to accompany. Roast potatoes were lovely i has to stop at 2 very tempted to eat the 3rd!. No room for dessert. £65 with drinks we paid the service charge as nothing was to much trouble. Will return.

   We were offered the full lunch menu and made our choice from this. Luckily when our order was taken, I confirmed that it was the "2 for the price of 1" offer. The waitress then left, and returned minutes later to confirm the "2 for the price of 1" menu was a different smaller condensed menu. This was a bit disappointing as the meal one of us had chosen was on the main menu. Anyway we reordered and the meal we had was delicious. I would suggest putting both menus on the table when guests arrive so they realise the offer is a smaller menu.

    Brilliant lunch at Clavells, food excellent very large portions which we couldn’t finish. Service great. Just a bit cold in the restaurant- had to keep my coat on. Will come again though.
