Everything about this place is unreal!! Highly recommend
Excellent service, authentic food. Very impressed!
Fabulous intimate Italian restaurant. Service and quality were perfect. A truly friendly, upscale establishment. Trout was perfect!
This was our first time to Claudio’s and we were not disappointed. We went to celebrate Hubble/Dad/PopPop’s birthday. From beginning to end the service was outstanding. Our two grandbabies were at dinner as well and were acknowledged and made to feel like princesses.
The food was superb , flavourful , hot and served in a timely fashion.
I would have no trouble recommending Claudio’s to others and can’t wait to return.
Thanks you for the great service !
This was our first time at Claudio’s. We were very happy. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was beautiful. Our waiter was very nice too. Thank you!

The setting was so nice & personal . So romantic . Noise level was moderate food was amazing I wish they had told us there was gunna be a special menu and not the one that on open table but it was still very good and defineltly worth the price I will be back

My husband and I were blown away by Claudio’s ! The service , ambiance and food was unbelievable. Thank you!
Came here for the first time New Years Eve with a date after wanting to come here for a long time. I dine quite often and found my experience here outstanding to say the least. Probably the best meal at a restaurant I’ve had in the last 5 years. Had authentic Italian style bruschetta, carpaccio as an app that was made to perfection with shaved parmigiano cheese and arugula. For my entree I had Cioppino(Italian seafood stew) they didn’t cheap out on the seafood I had plenty of PEI mussels clams, shrimp, octopus and a very healthy size lobster tail in the stew. It was made the way my family makes it and the sauce was perfect!! The kahlua chocolate cake for dessert was magnificent ! Extensive wine list for all price ranges. Claudio himself made sure everything was good and brought out the wine himself. Christine in the kitchen did an amazing job with everything. My bill for two appetizers plus two bruschetta my entree my dates entree (rack of lamb) a bottle of Chianti, 2 cocktails and dessert for both the total was $252. I paid $300 with tip and it was the best $300 I’ve spent at a restaurant in a long time. Perfection on New Year’s Eve!👌🏻
Over all a good restaurant with good food but a couple key complaints on this visit. Number one, absolutely no indication that they were doing a special menu for New Year’s Eve that was considerably more expensive than expectations. Secondly, how an Italian restaurant doesn’t have a single pasta option on said limited menu is really quite staggering.
All of that would’ve been pretty forgivable if it weren’t for the really really really slow service. We were over two hours at the restaurant and we really didn’t want to be there that long. We weren’t in a rush but we didn’t have two hours on our mind. 15 minutes sitting at the beginning without even a menu. 15 minutes or more waiting for a dessert. Another 15 or so minutes waiting for the check. It was mind-bogglingly slow. The restaurant was not that big and there weren’t that many people there. There’s nothing to explain such impossibly slow service.
I don’t mind paying for the right experience but if you’re going to swing the bat at such a premium level you better have all your ducks in a row.
I would’ve loved to of actually sample of the restaurants actual menu to determine if I wanted to come back sometime but instead I have to go on is this overpriced experience of something that I may or may not be able to have the next time I go there. I don’t understand why restaurants do this. It’s shortsighted and bad for business long-term.
Delicious food, fantastic waitress that offered numerous suggestions. The lemon and orange sorbet was the best I’ve ever had.
Was a business dinner for 6 with out of town visitors. No problem getting a reservation as it was a Monday evening and we may have been the only group there that evening. The appetizers and entree's were very good and complimented by all. The only concern was my wife and I each ordered a Cesar salad and the lettuce was very brown, soggy and poor tasting. We only ate a couple of bites each. It should never have been served in that condition.
The restaurant was full, with a couple of larger groups. This didn't detract from a warm welcome, or the quality of food and service. Extra staff, who seemed mostly to be family members, provided excellent service, with only a couple of minor waits. Chef Kristine made time to greet everyone, including a hug after we expressed our appreciation. We shared a wonderful calamari appetizer which could have been a meal in itself, followed by the pasta special with generous pieces of lobster and a superb sauce, and the Veal Henry, which was also excellent. For desserts, we had lemon sorbet served in a hollowed out lemon, and tiramisu...both delicious. The house wines were pricey, but good, and better value than the very marked up bottles. Not something we would do every day, but a splendid way to celebrate a special occasion. We would definitely go back.
We celebrated our daughters 21st Birthday. From all the restaurants she could have picked she chose this restaurant to eat at :) This was her second time at Claudio's we came as a family to celebrate my birthday last year.
we all really enjoy the food and the friendly service we receive.
Thank you for another great evening :)
Tried this restaurant because it was located close to a concert hall for a show that evening - what a find! Owner met us at the door, staff was attentive and pleasant; food was delicious. Highly recommend if you are in Hamilton, Ontario CANADA.
Amazing food- I am already looking forward to the next visit
Loved our meal and the ambiance. Claudio and Kristine were fabulous. The best grilled calamari I've ever had. White linen dining. The only thing that I thought didn't match the decor and cuisine was the butter in plastic pots, I'm pretty sure I can over look it though! We will return.
Fantastic as usual.
Best mussels in town! My favourite restaurant!
Service is great every time
Food is delicious
Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience at all. We were greeted with a very clearly annoyed gentleman who was unhappy that we were standing in his way In the doorway. He rolled his eyes and pushed by us. We were seated by a lovely waitress who did her best. By 6 pm three items were already off the menu. The food was mediocre and ridiculously overpriced for pasta. The same waiter (or maître D?) was offended that we chose not to order wine and said to our table “why would you bother coming here if you’re not going to order wine” then again stormed off. We had allowed 2 hours for dining and at 1.40 mark still hadn’t received appetizers. I politely asked if we could ask for our mains to arrive (we had event tickets for 8pm). We didn’t fuss but asked for our bill while we were eating to Insure we could depart quickly. After paying we were again subjected to the same disgruntled waiter who AGAIN rolled his eyes and groaned as we were getting our coats on. It was obvious he was not happy with our presence. The bill was over $400 for 5 people with no liquor tab other than 2 beers. I’m happy to pay top dollar but for pasta it was bland and unexceptional.
Our server recommended an extraordinary wine and helped us select amazing meals from the menu. We selected this venue as a pre show dinner and we were so glad we did. We will return again for sure! I always like to recommend one change when I write a review and it is difficult to find anything here....but....the coffee was not exceptional especially after having had such an amazing meal and ezperience,
Went for a family meal prior to an event. We were the only people in the restaurant. We were on a time crunch so didn't really get to experience the leisurely meal that the host might have have preferred. The food was good (i wouldn't say great) and was quite pricey. What shocked me most was the charge of $14 for the addition of chicken onto a pasta dish (gnocchi) - the chicken was minimal and certainly not $14 worth.
Overall an expensive meal that was average at best.
Great service, good food, a wee bit on the pricey side, good for special occasions when you don’t mind spending a little extra.
Personal service from Claudio himself. Chef came out to inquire. Excellent wine. Excellent food. This was our second visit to Claudio's both occasions have been excellent.
Both specials were outstanding- pasta and veal.
My friend and I celebrated her birthday. We had a relaxing 3 hour lunch with a beautiful complimentary desert at the end.
Christine at Claudio’s never disappoints. Our group of 5 had an amazing meal once again. Apps were delicious and all our main entrees were served HOT. Would recommend Claudio’s to anyone wanting to enjoy a great meal with an Italian flair!
Made a reservation for Thursday at 8:30 pm we drove in from Oakville, when we arrived at 8:10 pm the doors were locked and the lights were off?
Excellent atmosphere. The meal was phenomenal. A true fine dining experience.
I had my daughter's graduation dinner at Claudio's Ristorante in Hamilton. It was simply the best Italian restaurant I've been to in Canada. Honestly. Service was impeccable, Claudio and Chef Kristine were very hospitable and accommodating, the food was authentic and delicious and in abundance. Very classy but not stuffy ambience. I have already raved about Claudio's to many of my friends and co-workers.
Service is excellent. The chef comes out and makes sure everything is perfect.
Claudio's is a fine dining restaurant.
The service is exceptional and servers are very friendly and attentive.
The food is well prepared and very tasty. There are always interesting
specials for the day and the chef is willing to modify the menu to suit
the needs and requests of the individual.
The setting is quiet and refined which is a nice change from the noisy
restaurants that seem to be the norm.
Enjoyable experience. I will definitely go back if I am ever in the area
