Claudio's or Connecticut-style, fries, coleslaw
Oysters, clams, half lobster, jumbo shrimp. Served with: black pepper mignonette, cocktail sauce, grated horseradish
I hate to write bad reviews as I know the restaurant business is suffering so but even more sorry to say disappointing is what comes to mind. I have not been to the "new" Claudios yet and it was expensive and disappointing. $56 for steak and undercooked french fries. Not impressed. People told me about that...I should have listened. I hope they get it together.
What a wonderful restaurant, out on the "patio" under the canopy, fresh air, wonderful food. I LOVE Claudio's and have been going there since I was a young man. The lobster roll was outstanding, service was wonderful and the outside weather gorgeous. making the appointment on Open Table was easy and efficient.
Had a great time lovely seat the sea bass was perfect tomato purée a bit salty due to olives and capers! Got a slight disappointment that the desert limited and the choice none left after
Dinner no harm done just surprised
Apps took over an hour to arrive. No refills of water. Entree took forever. Restaurant wasn’t even crowded when we got there.
Claudios is a beautiful atmosphere especially dining outside. The was delicious! We were disappointed when they ran out of the tuna sashimi. We ordered four orders they only had one.
The service needs to be improved. I’m sure they are having issues with help during these day of COVID-19 .
Fish and chips batter was soggy, should be airy and crisp
Fluke oreganata was excellent.
Poor service, lack luster food, nice ambiance. Not worth the price
The best baked clams ever. All the selections we had were delicious. Love the decor and view. We will definitely return!
We have been to Claudio's once before for a private party upstairs but this was the first time we came as a party of 4 for dinner outside on the patio. We had reservations for 7:30pm and were seated right away. We indulged in the tuna tartare, burrata, meatballs, caesar salad for appetizers and had the fluke, spaghetti alle vongale and fish & chips. The manager John hooked us up and comped our drinks. It was a lovely setting and fabulous meal.
Note: The restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday
We ordered our appetizers and food, our main courses came and the forgot our appetizers. Food was good, not up to the price tag. Not what I expected. First time visiting since the new owners. Will give them one more shot next year after COVID.
Very pricey ! For the amount of food.
The “new” Claudios is great. We had a mixed salad of local greens which was very interesting and delicious. We also had the fluke oreganata…..which is fabulous. It clearly is there signature dish
Our waitress was personable and friendly. She was very attentive. Food was great. The entire family enjoyed the restaurant. I would definitely go again.
Very uneven overall. The positives: raw oysters were amazing, as was the fluke and tuna tartare. Nice wine list with fair pricing.
The negatives: service slow, we ordered the farmer’s salad, waited forever, then were informed by the manager that the chef didnt like the looks of the produce and wouldnt serve it. Interesting, since the table next to us was just served it a few minutes earlier! Our waiter later told us they ran out, so they probably gave our salad to them….Cmon, just say you made a mistake!
Caesar salad they served as substitute was just a bowl of romaine, we sent it back..it was less than poor. Prices NYC high and the presentation of the food fair at best.
In sum, a few really good dishes, but we wont go back.
Fantastic dinner at the bar. Food was phenomenal, get the biscuits!! Scallops were great and the chicken was the best my husband has ever had. Josh at the bar was so great. He hustled all night and was still so friendly.
It was awesome! servive was great. Lobster roll was the Best!!!!!!!
The restaurant looks wonderful with its beautiful bar & staircase preserved while the rest of the place got a tasteful refresh. The deck is really a nice addition. Service is attentive and quick. Sadly, the food doesn’t live up to its surroundings. It looks and tastes like it was slapped together on a production line. Claudio’s Pizza next door is a lot better. Plus, maybe it’s just me, but to hear EDM from a DJ with a seaside dinner -especially on a weeknight - just doesn’t go with the setting. Please bring back the Manhattan Clam Chowder!
Made reservations and still ended up with the worst table even with others open. Asked for specific brands for a mixed drink and the bartender copped an attitude.
Outdoor dining provided a nice, casual atmosphere
Waiter was fabulous!
This was our first visit to the main restaurant in years. The restaurant was nicely renovated. It was a beautiful evening and we ate on their new patio. The food was delicious and Darielle, our waitress, was friendly, funny and efficient.
Overpriced for value
We were slightly disappointed in the wait for table and for food . The server was lovely and tried her best .
Some of food was cold and flavors were not what we remembered them to be in the past .
We will try again another time and really hope it doesn’t disappoint again .
Understaffed in kitchen so food took forever to arrive. Ending up canceling main courses.
I was excited to eat at Claudios restaurant. I made reservations but unfortunately they did not have enough staff in the kitchen to get the meals ready. Lack of staff has been a major issue for many restaurants and I feel for them but we waited 80 minutes for our appetizers and dinner an hour and 45 minutes. It was ridiculous. We had reservations to go back this Friday and I canceled them.
Worst experience ever at Claudio’s in Greenport. After waiting 90 minutes for a seafood tower, and a trip to the hostess stand, the manager came out to tell us the raw bar team was “under water.” He admitted they were short staffed. We said we understood and would just move on to our main courses. (Even though he couldn’t explain why the table next to us had ordered the tower after us but had already finished and were on to their main course.) He was back in two minutes to say our tower would be out shortly. After another 20 minutes without getting the tower, or any follow up from the manager, we got up and left. Saw the manager on the way out and he just shrugged. The Claudio’s family definitely sold to a group unworthy of carrying on the Claudio’s name.
While the food was cooked to perfection some of the dinners were very overpriced for the portions. Especially the scallops and the clams with pasta.
Well…….seafood of course! We are new to island. We usually order most of the apps. We loved the food . Fresh and what we expected. Fun atmosphere.
Date night , met some really nice people who was sitting next to us , ended up going out to other bars in town.
Kyle the waiter was the best , highly recommend.
Had a reservation for 6 adults Tried to seat us at a round table for
4. Unacceptable and caught attitude when we asked to be seated at a properly sized table. $45 entree for 3, yes 3, TINY scallops.
The menu was limited & overpriced, it was delicious tasting when it arrived. It is the busy busy season so I am cutting them slack I’m sure they’re under staffed. It was ok overall just nothing great.
Better than we expected. Only glitch was getting the attention of servers when we needed them. Expect to return.
Very expensive for what you get. And there are no substitutions
Sad to say we had a very poor experience at Claudios.
The service was incredibly slow and the our waitress was unhelpful and downright disrespectful. We had to ask for water 3 times and finally asked a bus person who was nearby to get us water.
This new and improved Claudios needs to up its game in customer service. The atmosphere does not match with the beautiful view. The music is loud and not conducive to relaxed dining. The menu is limited and some of the items overpriced. The North Fork green salad was incredibly small. When we ordered we stated we would be sharing. When served it was stated “You’re sharing this??” Two other issues stand out. A martini was served with a badly wrinkled and moldy olive. An entree with an olive tapenade had 2 pits in it. Though our concerns about this were addressed we were treated as if this was a bother. Well, don’t bother going to Claudios.
They did a great job renovating the restaurant . Staff was friendly and helpful . So glad they up dated the old menu.
I do think they need to add some salads on the menu.
Claudio’s was definitely a great choice for dinner. Getting seated was a slight bit of a wait for unknown reasons but by no means terrible. Upon sitting down, we got service immediately by a very kind and nice waitress. She took our drink and meal orders. Despite coming out with the wrong beers, her mistake was actually beneficial to us because it was very good. The food was excellent! We had the calamari special, the Seafood Tower which I highly recommend and scallops caught day of dining. Overall would highly recommend Claudio’s for a great dining experience and views were great of the LI Sound
Very very noisy. Couldn’t even hear the waitress speak. There was a problem in the kitchen so it took forever to get out dinner but when we finally did get our food it was decent. Chicken was delicious. Scallops were fair to good and the fluke was good. Management did recognize that we waited overly long for our meal and were very nice to give us our drinks for free.might be better to go during the weekend instead of a Saturday night
Claudio’s is a North Fork classic! We loved our dinner.
We enjoyed the deck, cocktails and dinner.
