This was our third visit to Claudio's and it was just as rewarding as the first two. We came to celebrate two birthdays. The meal was excellent, the service attentive and the ambiance just right. We will return.
My husband and I dined at Claudio's for the first time since the restaurant was re-opened. We were very pleased with the physical changes that brightened up the space, the updates at the bar and most of all the much needed menu makeover. The food was delicious. My husband had the Oysters appetizer and I had to the roasted beet, pickle peach and burrata salad which was amazing. He enjoyed the fluke dinner while I loved my striped bass. My only issue with Claudio's was the way we were served. The servers were friendly but the service was extremely rushed. We dined early on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was not crowded, yet our entrees were delivered to our table before we finished our appetizers. We had to ask that they be taken back to the kitchen to be kept warm. I will return to Claudio's because the food was really delicious. However, I would probably order appetizers first and wait to be served them before placing my dinner order to avoid this from happening again. I know restaurants need to turn over tables but this felt like we were being rushed.

Great service and food
Unfortunately, some self indulgent young parents and their crying infant children had taken over the upstairs - while the jazz band attempted to play over the children's crying. They were tired and shouldn't have been awake still...moms were drunk and didn't seem to care that the kids should be in bed....mommy and daddy needed the night out! Shouldn't a 3 week old baby understand that?
A wonderful upgrade for a classic restaurant. The food was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. We look forward to another visit in season, when the views of Greenport harbor must be spectacular. Congratulations to management and the Chef.
Renovated space is very charming and spacious. Receiving staff at front were very engaging and warm. There was however a big delay before a person came over to offer us water or drinks. The open space when filled with people can get quite loud and raucous. So if you’re looking for a quiet intimate dinner probably not the place to go on a Saturday night. The food was fair to reasonable but definitely priced at a gourmet level which it was not. The servers were very friendly And professional but they definitely seemed like they were in a bit of a rush. Probably better as a daytime experience but the food does not match the price point.
My husband and I wanted to take my nephew out for a nice meal in Greenport. We selected indoor Claudios because it is a classic restaurant and the food is always good. It was our first visit since the update and it looked very nice. My grandchildren are going to ask what happened to the lobstertank though. They always want to sit near "Larry the Lobster". We were happy to note that some of the excellent Claudios staff from the previous owners were still employed there. I had scallops, my husband had a swordfish bolognese, and my nephew had fish and chips. All of the meals were great and my husband is still talking about the bolognese 2 days later. The noise level was moderate so we could have a comfortable conversation at the table which we prefer. Overall a perfect end to a great day on the North Fork and we will return.
Food was excellent but the service lacking. Waited 40 mins to be served 1 appetizer. Wasn’t the server, had to be the kitchen.
Food was wonderful. I had strip steak. Calamari appetizer was light and crispy. The Burrata with the beats was delicious as well. Christian was an amazing waiter. They did a great job with the interior design. We'll definitely be back!
Requested to sit at table near window but was told those tables were reserved. Our dinner took a little under 2 hours and noone sat in those tables. Disappointing and dishonest!
Very disappointing lunch. We were a group of 8 for lunch. The restaurant was empty but lots of staff. Appetizers took ages to arrive. Baked pretzel never arrived so I asked. Was told it’s coming. 30 mins later I asked again. I was told we were the first people to ever order it. Finally it came over an hour after ordering. No apology. No offer to remove from bill or any empowerment from the employees to fix the situation. Only had one bottle of the local rose in stock so we had to have mismatched rose at the table. In the end a very expensive lunch with such disappointing service that really could have been remedied by an empowered and trained staff.
Came in here last night for an impromptu anniversary dinner and it ended up being better than it probably would’ve been had we planned it way in advance anywhere else. The food was unreal. Cerviche app, and lobster dinner super fresh. Amazing seasonal special (unbelievable squash). Yum! And then the service was great our server was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and funny! Enjoyed our whole night, we’re still talking about it, thank you!!

The new owners have saved the old seaport feel but added the best parts of todays better eateries. A vibrant bar with real barkeeps, who make a drink quickly and perfectly.... an open feel...lots of high tops and quality food. We were 6 … 4 had fish and loved it... I had a steak .. sensational... my wife a burger which she loved....we shared 3 different desserts and they were all great...
It was a packed house on a Saturday night (9/21) and it was smooth sailing for everyone.
Sadly, I forget our server's name but she was young, knowledgeable, efficient and fun. She helped make the night a great one

We enjoyed Claudio's but the main reason I went there was for the hot lobster roll. The hot
lobster roll was good but not as good as the last time I was there. The restaurant has changed
hands. The first time I had the hot lobster roll it was served on a lovely toasted buttery roll
that was lightly rubbed with a fresh sliver of garlic ever so slightly. The chunks of lobster were
plentiful and a warm salted butter was drizzled on top. It was amazing. This one was good but
not as good. I did not let the waiter know because I did not want him to think I might alter my
tip amount which of course I would never do.
It took a long time to get lunch for a Monday. Our reservation was 1pm and we were sat right away. It took roughly 30 minutes for a fluke and burger. The fluke was fantastic. I tried it, I hate fish and I thought it was great. My burger I ordered rare. It was medium well and burnt on most of the top and bottom. It also was repeating on me all night.
Thumbs down for the day but will try again.
Beautiful decor, excellent service. The food was delicious... stuffed clams, Oysters Claudio (outstanding!), lobster Cobb, and crusted fluke. Pricey, but definitely worth it.
So super disappointed tonight. Returned to Claudio’s Greenport (after being disappointed years ago) and I still feel it is over rated and serves mediocre food. First off,had a reservation and we were shown to a table that had a shelf sticking out into one of our party’s shoulder. We asked to be reseated at one of the other empty tables for four. Denied. Hostess came over. Denied. Manager came over. Denied. All about how seating is “planned” in advance. Still sitting looking at another table for four that remains empty. Manager sent a peace offering of Calamari. Mediocre. Some of the party ordered Lobster Bisque...no lobster but plenty of the artificial crab known as sea legs. I had played it safe and ordered fish and chips. Fish was fine and hot but the fries were cold. Sautéed spinach was cold and over garlicky. Mediocre food at inflated prices. Plus a $10 parking fee! Won’t be back.
Claudio’s is a local institution which has been recently renovated and lovingly restored. The result is one of the North Fork’s best restaurants combining local flavor with meticulous service and ambiance. Will be going back here often!
We loved our server and the food and the new decor. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and read our table well. He was a mature, experienced professional, which we really appreciated.
The food was fresh, creative but not showy, and delightful.
Our only complaint is that when the live music started at around 8:30, it became unbearably loud. (The taped music before the live music was also too loud.) Because of this, we didn’t stay for dessert.
Two small service notes to the management: Food runner didn’t know who got which dish at our table. Our first course plates weren’t cleared in a timely manner.
Very nice place to eat, but we waited after our soups, 45 minutes for two lobster rolls.
We were very happy with the "new" Claudio's. The atmosphere and service were great, and the updated decor was very attractive. We had the Monday lobster special, and it was really good and fairly priced! We look forward to returning soon.
Food was cold and nothing special. I expected a much better experience for the price and the name.
The food was good, but it was over priced. Quantity of food was small, especially the appetizer, calamari. There was nothing to the burger. It was very basic and over priced.
Amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious, raw oysters and fish and the corn is out of this world. The wine was great. Our server was so sweet. The view is beautiful. Really exceeded our expectations. Will make it a frequent spot!
Food is Over Priced. Portions very small. Husbands Flat Iron Steak tiny , tough & Over Cooked. My Green Beans under cooked & Sea Scallops tasted good but only 3 . Lobster Bisque too many fillers potato's, corn etc not enough Lobster & not that good . All 3 of us very disappointed & will not be going Back. We went for years what a shame.
Mediocre. Nothing special here and not worth the $100 per person it ended up costing. Not like Claudio’s used to be!
The food was very tasty: baked clams, fried calamari and lobster bisque soup for appetizer was my favorite. The main courses of lobster roll, seared tuna and skirt steak were excellent, tasted just right. However, the table next to us was apparently a group of people who knew the owners and they got served appetizers I have not seen on the menu that made us say "are we eating at a different restaurant that these people?" The service was ok, few lapses in bringing us what we asked for. The waiter recognized his shortcomings and made up for it. The ambiance and view from the table were beautiful. Will come back again.

My lobster bisque had corn in it and was yellow and did not taste good. My childs chicken fingers were def from a box frozen and her fries soggy. The cocktails were nothing special. Lotsa simple syrups etc. It was VERY loud.
Excellent food and great service. We ate in a table in the side room and it felt private despite there being other tables and diners. Service was friendly and informative. Our server recommended one of the specials in mouth-watering detail. They weren't wrong, it was great!

The renovation of this classic restaurant is really lovely. It has a wonderful clean, simple elegance about it. The staff was friendly and very helpful in discussing menu choices and accommodating requests. However a little more training about table service (replacing silverware, for example) is needed. The food was very good and well presented-but pricey. Overall it was a very pleasurable dining experience and I would go back.
Solid seafood restaurant right in the heart of the village.
We had reservations but still waited 25 minutes for a table. Then waited again 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. I know they are busy but they even gave us someone else's check when finished. Food was okay nothing to rave about. I enjoyed it much more before Claudio's was sold. The baked clams and lobster bisque were my favorites but not anymore. The restaurant may still have it's name but not its food.
New look & menu are lovely, though wish they left a few more touches architecturally from past. Staff was pleasant though a bit slow. Food ordered was well prepared & good ~ not exceptional. I would definitely visit again & recommend.
Very expensive for average quality food. Drinks were ok. My martini was kind of warm though. Will not be back.
My boyfriend and I had dinner at Claudio’s for our anniversary and we had a really great experience. Our meal was delicious and our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. They also gave us a free dessert for our anniversary:-)
They were quick to clear plates before we were done eating. The waitress wasn’t very friendly. I ordered dessert and they put a candle in it for my birthday but never bothered to wish me happy birthday. It sure has changed over the years.
I’ve been eating in Claudio’s for over 40 years. I understand that it was recently sold and I was not pleased with the new ownership. On a Saturday night they offers no special and the menu was very streamlined with not a lot of choices. The good news is there are a lot of competition now so hopefully they will improve
