Lovely little spot. Loved the duck special and the lamb was so tender!
Friendly staff, amazing food, beautiful decor, get the lamb tagine! Best lamb dish ever slow cooked with perfect spices, share your food. Get an Isthmus of Suez cocktail mmm so good! But don’t go here because I don’t want it to be too popular for me to get a table!
Lovely and charming spot with delicious food!
Go on a pretty day and sit outside!
Noisy and cramped atmosphere.
Waitress or kitchen forgot our order so we waited a long time for food. Steak was under cooked. Food in general was over-priced for what you get.
You’re paying for location as sitting on fifth ave in the summer with the doors open is nice.
We went on Saturday night and it was SO LOUD. I loved the place, super cute menu, food was really good. Go for a fun night out but don't go with your parents or grandparents because you won't be able to hear anything!
Had dinner here recently after reviews on Open Table. The ambience was nice, casual. Noise level not too bad, nice outdoor seating, though we were inside. Host was great, table service staff was efficient. Waitress was not. Apps were all good, we had a broad selection of them from across the menu. The mains were decent, nothing spectacular. My special entre, the duck, was poorly cooked however. I almost always order duck when it is on the menu and prefer it as was described by our waitress as "medium-rare". When it came out it was one step from raw. The kind of raw that even the gargantuan streak knife wouldn't cut through it. So I sent it back, which I've done maybe once before in my life. It came back two minutes later barely any better. Of the two thick slices, I only managed to get through one pice. The other was impossible to both cut or chew. Disappointing because overall the dish was well conceived. But here is the MOST DISAPPOINTING thing. The waitress was at our table twice after a runner redelivered the plate and did not ask if it was better. Once, while we ordered another bottle of wine, she stood right over me, and could clearly see that my plate was clean except for the one piece of duck that was inedible. Any decent waitress might have noticed and/or asked if there was an issue. Really, when I sent it back it seemed she had the attitude that it was my issue, not theirs.
Will not go back, too many other places to visit and much better meals to be had.
I've been going to the breakfast buffet and am truly in love with the food.
Too loud ! Food okay
Food was delicious, service excellent, atmosphere very pleasing. We were delighted to enjoy
This restaurant for the first time, based on a friend’s recommendation.
Excellent breakfast! Many choices, attentive service by Ashley and great food.
Walked in and felt at home instantly. The space is as charming and comfortable, with the warmest most attentive staff you could ask for. Off to a good start so as typical NYers we figured that the food might disappoint. No disappointments of any sort - start to finish, excellent food, beautifully presented with an attentive server to explain each dish and check back to see if we were happy! First visit and we'll be back, often ! Awesome gazpacho with a kick - nicely spiced and a deliciously glazed salmon.
The lunch menu was excellent. I recommend the Rose on tap and the vegetarian dishes.
Great food. Great service. Portions are on the smaller side. I had appetizer, entree, and dessert but left feeling a little hungry. Really delicious food though.
Excellent service and food! I really enjoyed my bday dinner with my friend. love this place with Provance and New York style. will be back soon!
Venue was amazing. Food was okay. Service was absolutely horrible. Expect to ask for an item 3 times before you receive it & expect to wait until you finish eating to get your drink refilled

Newly discovered, Claudette is utterly charming. The hostess and waitstaff are
very friendly and personable, the ambiance is appealing, and the food is delicious
and unusual. Definitely a place to return to again and again.
We have been to Claudette, a neighborhood favorite, many times and it continues to keep to a high standard of food, service and ambience. The room is quiet enough for conversation but not funereal. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately inside near the windows facing 5th Avenue. Service was prompt and friendly. We started with oysters (fine) and lamb kefta (terrific). For mains, we had the salmon (perfect) and the bouillabaisse (very good). With 2 nice glasses of burgundy, taxes and tip, it was $70/pp, which we think is fair. We will return to Claudette so long as it continues to be so pleasing.
Food was delicious and very nicely presented. Staff very courteous and the decor very beautiful and welcomcomming.
Excellent cute local place
Love Claudette. Great food. Consistently good. My Village favorite.
The transition from breakfast to lunch is complicated .... we arrived just after 11am and had to wait for 11:30 am to arrive, after being seated, to be able to order lunch. The other option was to very quickly dish up breakfast.
Not a very welcoming custom.
We got the steak and eggs, and for that price the steak was terribly cooked and the amount of meat was abysmally small. We were all very disappointed
Wonderful cozy restaurant for a weekend brunch. The ambiance bright and airy and feels like a cozy living room in the Hamptons.
Very cute and quaint. We went for brunch and enjoyed the food, especially the salmon and eggs.
Beautiful and charming little bistro nice food & lovely people
Claudette is a little gem perched on the corner of 5th avenue and E. 9th street, looking very Parisienne against the backdrop of this fancy NYC neighborhood. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back. It didn't get too loud, but it's certainly not quiet. The cuisine, a mix of french cooking inspiration and north-african & mediterranean flavors, was delicious! Certainly better than expected, but not a mind-blowing value. In their defense, NYC pricing makes it difficult for any restaurant to really nail it on the value-for-the-money category, especially with cocktails.
Service, however, was way above average. The staff we interacted with were incredibly attentive, patient, and generous with their time and information. They made my guests and the birthday honoree very comfortable, happy, and full. We would recommend, and will definitely return.
We celebrated Mother’s Day at Claudette this year. The food was very good and the service outstanding. Overall very nice atmosphere and we had a great time.
Great service, great food great atmosphere
Mother’s Day brunch. The ambiance was great and the $15 pastry basket was very good. It was a fixed menu due to the holiday. I will say all the bread, no matter what dish it was in, was excellent. The coffee was very good and the wait staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The food was very good but not excellent. I expected the eggs Benedict to be the best I’ve had but I must say I had better the day before somewhere else. We split 2 desserts between 4 people and our bill was $260 without tip for brunch. I felt it was a bit much. I would try again on a non holiday for dinner. I would recommend this place but maybe for dinner to justify spending that much. Overall, I was a very nice experience
Beautiful place. Nice for outdoor seating on a nice day. But their brunch is not a great value, better options around.
This was my first time at Claudette. I went with a friend who recommended it. The food was very good. Interesting mix of French favorites with a touch of Northern Africa. I found it a bit pricy. Service was friendly but a bit scattered.
Love Claudette, the food, the ambiance and the employees are cheerful and kind. It took a while to get the attention of our waitress to pay, perhaps it was short staffed that day.
Great experience. Great food.
Great food, cute place. Service could be more attentive and timely though.
Very excellent meal! The service is very good too.
Not a great experience overall. Server took forever to bring us water, take our order, bring us the check.
Food was mediocre. Overpriced salad with dry chicken.
The atmosphere is classic Fifth Avenue dining at its finest. The service is amazing, and the food is delicious and presented like art.
The lamb tangine was incredible!!! The service was impeccable
Always pleasant and reliable. Have eaten here for business dinner, with friends, and large groups -- food is well prepared and delicious. Salmon brochettes, gazpacho, lemon tart, on the last trip -- was perfect. Service is friendly without being overly watchful. Great neighborhood spot.
Wonderful experience all around. The small dishes are excellent (especially truffle hummus) and reasonably priced. The drinks are good, ambiance is just the right combination of romantic and buzzy, and the service is perhaps the best I've ever seen at a mid-range priced restaurant. Highly recommended.
