We got the steak and eggs, and for that price the steak was terribly cooked and the amount of meat was abysmally small. We were all very disappointed
Wonderful cozy restaurant for a weekend brunch. The ambiance bright and airy and feels like a cozy living room in the Hamptons.
Beautiful and charming little bistro nice food & lovely people
Very cute and quaint. We went for brunch and enjoyed the food, especially the salmon and eggs.
Claudette is a little gem perched on the corner of 5th avenue and E. 9th street, looking very Parisienne against the backdrop of this fancy NYC neighborhood. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back. It didn't get too loud, but it's certainly not quiet. The cuisine, a mix of french cooking inspiration and north-african & mediterranean flavors, was delicious! Certainly better than expected, but not a mind-blowing value. In their defense, NYC pricing makes it difficult for any restaurant to really nail it on the value-for-the-money category, especially with cocktails.
Service, however, was way above average. The staff we interacted with were incredibly attentive, patient, and generous with their time and information. They made my guests and the birthday honoree very comfortable, happy, and full. We would recommend, and will definitely return.
We celebrated Mother’s Day at Claudette this year. The food was very good and the service outstanding. Overall very nice atmosphere and we had a great time.
Great service, great food great atmosphere
Mother’s Day brunch. The ambiance was great and the $15 pastry basket was very good. It was a fixed menu due to the holiday. I will say all the bread, no matter what dish it was in, was excellent. The coffee was very good and the wait staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The food was very good but not excellent. I expected the eggs Benedict to be the best I’ve had but I must say I had better the day before somewhere else. We split 2 desserts between 4 people and our bill was $260 without tip for brunch. I felt it was a bit much. I would try again on a non holiday for dinner. I would recommend this place but maybe for dinner to justify spending that much. Overall, I was a very nice experience
Beautiful place. Nice for outdoor seating on a nice day. But their brunch is not a great value, better options around.
This was my first time at Claudette. I went with a friend who recommended it. The food was very good. Interesting mix of French favorites with a touch of Northern Africa. I found it a bit pricy. Service was friendly but a bit scattered.
Love Claudette, the food, the ambiance and the employees are cheerful and kind. It took a while to get the attention of our waitress to pay, perhaps it was short staffed that day.
Great experience. Great food.
Great food, cute place. Service could be more attentive and timely though.
Very excellent meal! The service is very good too.
Not a great experience overall. Server took forever to bring us water, take our order, bring us the check.
Food was mediocre. Overpriced salad with dry chicken.
The atmosphere is classic Fifth Avenue dining at its finest. The service is amazing, and the food is delicious and presented like art.
The lamb tangine was incredible!!! The service was impeccable
Always pleasant and reliable. Have eaten here for business dinner, with friends, and large groups -- food is well prepared and delicious. Salmon brochettes, gazpacho, lemon tart, on the last trip -- was perfect. Service is friendly without being overly watchful. Great neighborhood spot.
Wonderful experience all around. The small dishes are excellent (especially truffle hummus) and reasonably priced. The drinks are good, ambiance is just the right combination of romantic and buzzy, and the service is perhaps the best I've ever seen at a mid-range priced restaurant. Highly recommended.
This place is quickly becoming a favorite of mine in NYC. From the moment you walk in, you're well attended to. The hosts, managers and staff go out of their way to make certain you have a top notch experience. The menu is outstanding, the execution is perfect, the service is great, ambiance is beautiful and of course the food....nothing short of wonderful.
Absolutely love this charming restaurant. The ambiance is cozy and beautiful and the food was delicious! I will definitely come back again and again.
Not my usual order for an entree but we went for the cote de boeuf and it was one of the best pieces of meat we've ever had!
Last minute search for breakfast spot led us to Collette where the services was superb and the food was perfect. Especially the Moroccan Lemon tart we had for desert...
Everything was truly delicious and impeccably prepared. Best salmon I’ve ever had. However, the room is very loud.
Great spring-time restaurant, warm vibe and great food.
best Bibbsalad and then Roasted chicken...pan seared salad...then the best Pot-de Creme . We had a wonderful server..right from France.....was hoping for better music...maybe a mix of Jazz, some French tunes, etc..
The pork chop at Claudette was amazing and will be to get this dish again. It had just the right amount of spice and was cooked to perfection. Also, the mushroom that came with it were delicious.
Dessert we had Chocolate Pot de Crème
toasted almonds, harissa whipped cream, maldon salt this was so rich and creamy. I was in heaven.
Claudette was a great meal! Loved it!
Our normal Easter plans involve lots of cooking and an elaborate table setting, but since it was just our immediate family (minus one), I decided to give us all a break and eat out. Mom for the win! The service was fantastic. The food was divine. Really, a true treat. The black bass is not to be missed and the pork chop with mushroom ragout was stellar according my husband and daughter. And lest I not forget, the Madelines with caramel sauce...pure perfection.
Thank You for making our Easter dinner so special.
Went for Easter Brunch with a friend. The service was decent, but I didn’t mind the slower wait time. The ambiance was so cute and quaint. The people were all dressed so stylishly that actually added to the overall vibe. I got the French toast and it was AMAZING. Highly recommend.
Great Easter Brunch
Thank you for spending some time with us!
Food was good, we had brunch. Very expensive but good
Excellent food and service! We will definitely be back.
Sat outside and had a wonderful server! Really enjoyable Easter brunch.
Pleasantly surprised...by the vegetarian food, the cozy European ambiance and friendly staff! It was s spontaneous decision that made for a lovely dinner!
The host made sure we got s good table despite no reservations on a Saturday evening. The food was very different from what you’d expect in a French restaurant- great vegetarian options and very flavorful. We ordered the cucumber date salad, the sweet potato falafel and the veg tagine with a side of green beans. The green beans could have been cooked or steamed just a tad more but that’s really forgivable as the dressing was delicious.
My only regret is that I didn’t order more food and wine to spend a little more time there :-)
We’ll definitely visit again!
My friend’s birthday who I brought by 1st time to this great place! One of my favorites!! She was delighted by the tasty meals, ambience and friendly and close service:) Thanks again!!!
Outstanding in every way!
Since we were going to the Watercolor Society exhibit I found this restaurant to be close and it turned out to be a very good experience and the food to be delicious. It was a very nice lunch before seeing the watercolors on view.
Our waiter was very friendly and informative.
