New breakfast offering. Weekdays is a grand success .
Lovely place, excellent service, fine wine. The black bass is half the size of the table and delicious. For starters the squash plate was perfect.
First time rating Claudette after many times visiting. Just a great great experience. Lively atmosphere, comfortable seating, professional service, and amazing food make it a win on every level I can think of.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Best restaurant on my short trip to NYC. Would definitely recommend.
We were a party of 3, came to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, the chicken entree was buttery and moist. Our server surprised us with madeleines for the birthday guest! Seating was very crowded, where I had to get up multiple times for an adjacent table to access their seat.
I am a regular and usually quite happy with the food but this time literally everything was barely eatable. The salad and sautéed mushrooms were drowned in vinegar. My salmon was overcooked as well as my friend’s lamb burger. Service was adequate, although we both noticed that the waiter was too theatrical.
Hope this was just a singular bad day but will think twice before booking again...
Lovely room, good food and service. We went on a Thursday night, 8pm. Our problem with the place is that it was very noisy, as in VERY NOISY. We really could barely talk to each other. It was that loud.
Claudette was a great recent find. The ambiance is delightful, the service is attentive and the food was fantastic. Definitely a place to put on my rotation list.
We had a fantastic brunch at Claudette's this past Sunday. It was our first time there but have been to Rosemary's several times and to BoBO. This was fair better than the other two. The food was superb. Try the Beet salad. The seasoning and dressing are incredible. And best Eggs Benedict (amazing ham) and French Toast (Light, not heavy fried or butter cooked) we've ever had. Service was outstanding. Not rushed, not noisy, extremely polite and friendly and caring for the customer. Lucky if you get Sean, who was our server. Will return soon and have already recommended to others.
Claudette has excellent food and wonderful service. They were very thoughtful about our anniversary dinner and also went above and beyond when they came to know about our engagement. What a great place!
Good food and service mentioned they need to have bread/rolls thy did respond thy offer it if asked. Have been there a number of times and we never knew that. Tell people
We popped in for brunch on Sunday and had a lovely time, a delicious meal and was very impressed with the service. We stayed at a hotel around the corner (Marlton) and walked by in the evening and loved the French charm with the outdoor dining... and was thrilled to finally visit. Certainly a neighborhood gem!
We went there for my girlfriends birthday. Mark our server was excellent and very friendly. The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. We got a mixed drink at the bar because we arrived a bit early. Then Mark recommended us a great bottle of wine to go with our Ribeye steak. We will def. be going back for dinner or lunch very soon.
The food was seriously delicious, though more lunch-like than breakfast-like at 8 am. And it's a buffet, which is a great deal if you're hungry. Some jammy eggs showed up, there was yogurt, I should not complain because I was very happy and satisfied. Nice people too.
Great food, and excellent waiters. Reasonably priced, even though not cheap! But when the restaurant is crowded, as it was when we ate dinner there a couple of days ago, it can be quite noisy which makes conversation difficult.
Creative menu with unique flavors in popular dishes...
The food was delicious and the restaurant is nicely put together. Wonderful evening.
Great as usual. Courteous staff and delicious food. Very charming
Reunion of lost friends
Eggs Benedict were perfect, Rose was delicious and hummus was great.
A mouse ran across our table twice and they did nothing.... so I’d say it’s safe to not dine here.
Thank you for your comment!! While there is no excuse for a small mouse, I want to point out that the french doors were open and I am sure that what you saw came from outside and was a one off occurrence. I apologize that you were not taken care of after this situation and I would ask that you please reach out to me on my private email listed in the private response. I would love to have you as a guest again. I do see that you enjoyed the food and ambience that is a positive.
We were ignored for a good 30 minutes and that didn’t change as the meal progressed.
We had to beg for service.
Shelly I am terribly sorry to hear that the service was not up to par on your visit. As you can see the the majority of our reviews this is a one off. I am pleased that you enjoyed the food and Ambiance and I would love to have you back to ensure you have proper service please reach out to me on my private email in the private message and I will personally make sure you are taken care of.
We loved our dinner!! Food was delicious, service was great and overall experience was lovely. We will be back
Great food and ambiance
Fantastic brunch. Best French Toast ever, and great omelette. Although it is a bit pricy, it is cozy and unpretentious. Great attention from the host and waitstaff. Highly recommended for a weekend treat.
Recommend it to people watch
Service was just Ok. Food was good. Drinks were good! Cute atmosphere.
Always a treat. Love the sweet potato falaffel. Very welcoming staff.
Good food but ridiculously overpriced
Bad French wine at least 10X too expensive
We sent back a very acidic wine ($68) - very bad reaction of the waitress who ostracized instead of apologizing - we just felt guilty...
Appetizers and entrees are reliably good, as is the service. But this last visit was much louder than ever before.—hard to have a conversation. Rustic floor boards made our table and chairs wobbly. Dessert menu was very limited, not very exciting and our lemon tart was pedestrian.
While the service was fine, the food was terrible. The portions were completely inadequate and not well prepared or tasty. On the basis of this experience, I would not return to Claudette nor would I recommend it.
Love this place, food is always good and fresh, like the team that works here and always a good experience
Claudette never disappoints. The service is always great and the food is always delicious. The ambiance is unpretentious and the room is casually elegant. It can get a bit loud on a crowded winter evening, but there's no way you can avoid that in New York it seems. On a warm weather day, with the doors open to 5th Avenue, the atmosphere can be both vibrant and quietly soothing at the same time.
Excellent food and ambiance. A lovely experience except for a rude server.
Fabulous food and service. My entire family enjoyed the experience.
Both maitre d' and hostess were very welcoming upon entering the restaurant. On requesting outside seating, they said people were leaving shortly and that would be possible. Our waitress, busboy, and any service person in our vicinity was very helpful, warm and considerate. I also loved the bottoms up coffee cup - for $4.50, that was a nice touch. Omelette was terrific, as was the brioche French Toast and all that came with it. Perfect for outdoors. Indoors, very pretty but certainly noisier.
I have never written a poor review but in this instance, I must make an exception. Simply put, this restaurant is a pretentious sham. I have travelled to France several times and any similarity to a restaurant serving French cuisine is purely coincidental. All the classics were absent, in entrees as well as desserts and not a single baguette to be found. A true Frenchman would have cringed at the menu choices. I had salmon and scallops (only 4 were served as a main entree) and my Husband had octopus and Artic char. We were not impressed with the food, the taste being so-so at best. We were so unhappy with this meal that we left after the entrees. Moreover, the cost of the meal was expensive with so little given in return. A truly disappointing experience. C’est la vie.
Very nice restaurant where we went for brunch as we are vegetarians. Outside is nice this time of year
This was my first time there and I can honestly say it’s very interesting.
