We loved this place. It was our first time and we really enjoyed it.
The more causal feel was refreshing. High quality food and ambiance and comfortably casual.
Our waiter was not great, but not bad. He just not very attentive, as though we were not that big of a deal to him, but he was very nice and helpful when we asked questions.
Healthy, clean and full or complex flavors. Outstanding.
One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is personal and top notch. You can just tell that the people who work there love their job, the restaurant and each other. The beet salad is a revelation and the black bass is one of my favorite dishes ever. I just love it here.
Favorite restaurant when I visit NY! Kate was wonderful! Food was delicious! Will be back again for the lamb tagine!
The service was excellent; knowledgeable and attentive. Our food orders were exceptionally well prepared and presented beautifully.
Beautifully quaint place - but was disappointed with the food.
Claudette has some great dishes in a cozy, festive venue. Notable dishes were a lentil soup with pomegranate seeds and slightly spicy carrot appetizer. Definitely a place to go for a lively night out with creative, well thought out food.
We love Ted and Brendan.
Dinner was great although the prices can be a bit pricey. The ambience was nice but the music was too loud. Overall it was a lovely dining experience.
Wonderful - as always...
Name is misleading. Food more morracan than French and very good. Lively attractive space. Anxious to return
Beautiful restaurant with a great menu and even better list of specials. A calm and quiet atmosphere that enables you to enjoy a glass of wine and a great meal.
Valentines Day dinner, food was outstanding. Great service, and awesome wine selection. Would highly recommend
We had a very enjoyable dinner. The ambiance was warm, coupled with excellent food and table service. We would highly recommend Claudette.
Wonderful ambiance and staff
One of my favourite meals in 6 months in NYC. Everything we had was delicious and perfect for sharing, which is exactly what we hoped for. The staff was highly professional yet warm and the ambiance was polished but not intimidating. We will definitely be back.
I ordered lentil soup but arrived a bit cold and the coffee isn't good, but the place is well decorated and has a nice atmosphere for business and friendly meetings
A server dropped water on my dining companion’s lap, dousing her purse and her phone, and we were left to sit there far too long... we had waited to order dessert, soaked, and by the time our server came back to our table, it was far too late. (We both were a bit annoyed by this!)
This is a neighborhood fave! I love love love the food, especially on a sunny Sunday for brunch! The service is professional but relaxed and the menu is fun! Warm, Cosy atmosphere. We truly enjoy this place!
Always a great experience.
Service, food and atmosphere are special.
Great place, great food and the Shashouka (Spelling?) was amazing. A bit spicy but overall unique and tasty!
I went during restaurant week and the only bad thing I can say is that our waiter largely ignore us after we placed our order and we didn't see him again until the bill came. All the food was great.
The food was terrific. But even better was the service. We came in with a few more people than expected and they could not have been more accommodating or nicer about it.
A nice find (although clearly well discovered before us--place was jammed). Well prepared, wonderfully tasty food; warm, friendly reception; good table service; nice vibe overall; fairly priced and good value. Only issues were tight seating and, more important, really high noise level. Would return (early, to avoid the worst of the crowding and noise) and recommend, but keeping those concerns in mind.
Went for the first time for Restaurant Week. The portion size was great and the taste was delicious. Very beautiful and cozy interior with quick, friendly service from the staff.
the atmosphere is charming and the food very fresh and creative. thoroughly enjoyed it. will return
Visiting for the NY restaurant week. Amazing place! Excellent food and ambience. Great music selection! Great bar!
We were Maitre D’ greeted us warmly and and found a warm quiet corner as requested. She enthusiastically recommended highlights from the menu of vegetarian variety also as we requested. We were so thrilled to find this spot with good food, and a warm inviting setting which is reflective of an owner/manager who knows his clientele and caters to their needs, wants and desires. We will definitely return.
Claudette is such a cute restaurant..the decor and service is on point. I love the roasted chicken and black truffle humus but everything on the menu is wonderful.
Went for a light dinner -- got the lettuce salad and some appetizers. Lovely food and service but so loud I could barely hear my friend.
It’s not a real French restaurant so the price is much cheaper than ‘real’ one. The atmosphere is good but the food is not the type I like.
Very charming and delicious. Also, in a great location to take a walk after you're done. Highly recommend.
A special occasion brunch place with a mature vibe
For Sunday brunch I had two dishes that were both beautiful to behold and delicious to eat: the beet salad and the French toast. Service was impeccable.
Was there reuniting with a friend after many years, and celebrating our shared birthday which was a few weeks before. The waiter was very friendly and very helpful with both wine and the menu. My friend and i shared the truffle hummus, lamb kefta, beet salad, and salmon. They were all delicious. The kefta and beet salad were spicy and flavorful (but not too spicy). For dessert we had the pot de creme and the madeleines...a great end to a great dinner. Will be back!
Came here on a Friday dinner, and loved the entire experience. The hostess was very nice and friendly, and the service was amazing.
Definitely coming back soon again
Went for restaurant week. Food was delicious and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Lovely decor. Would recommend.
We had a 7:30 reservation and did not get seated until 8:00pm. We were told we would be taken care of for the long wait and nothing was done. Three of our party of 4 ordered soup. No spoons were brought to table and we had to ask for them after soup served. Soup was served cold. It was extremely disappointing. Three of us ordered a dessert that needed a knife to cut but only one knife was brought to the table. Two items from restaurant week menu were not available. The decor was nice but not enough to overcome the long wait, service mishaps and cold food.
Great place- super delicious food and great vibe, good design, cozy. Not too loud.
