We were sat at a table that I wasn't thrilled with, another diners' table just 6 inches from my fork. When I asked the host if he had any other tables that were quieter (date night!), he couldn't accommodate but softened the blow with 2 glasses of champers. So sweet! It was a bit of a rush since we didn't have much time (my son's class was only 1.5 hours across the street). However, we didn't feel rushed at all by the staff and the food was amazing. Husband had a lamb shank that was killer flavorful and I had a whole fish (with latkes!—sorry, NO one makes latkes like me or my Nanny) that came with this butter sauce that I could've drank out of the pot! We will be back, especially when we have more time! THANKS Claudette! xo

Went for brunch with a friend - Loved the market mushroom option and citrus salad, my friend had an egg dish and really loved it as well.

This is a cozy intimate restaurant in an upscale neighborhood. It seems to be a favorite for couples in their late 20's or early 30's and has a contemporary vibe. The room, though small (not necessarily by Manhattan standards) is nonetheless comfortable and inviting. The food is outstanding. Each one of our party of four ordered something different, and all four entrees were excellent. Our head waiter was good and knowledgeable, but some of the subordinate servers seemed inexperienced. This is a great place to enjoy high quality cuisine without overdoing the pretension and price.

I met an out of town friend for brunch. Menu was varied, and they accommodated changes to the menu options (Eggs benedict with salmon). Food was delicious. The side cauliflower was outrageously delicious - spicy (ras al hanout, maybe?) and my friend loved the shakshuka. It's warm, cozy, and welcoming, even on a freezing day. A great place in the village in a location that has seen so many restaurant incarnations.

We almost cancelled our dinner reservation after reading reviews about it being a brunch place, but it was an incredible dinner and worth a trip any night. Beautiful space, incredible service and even better food. The shitake mushrooms, burrata, sea bass, and tangine were all exceptional. Thank you for a memorable evening! Don’t think this is brunch - it is world class food. Def pricey when drinking!!

The staff was not friendly. I wonder if this restaurant is truly French. The bouillabaisse is not good. The lamb tagine was so-so; generous lamb but overall the dish was off.

This was our 1st visit to Claudette & our 1st impression was quite good. We liked the ambiance of the restaurant a lot. The service was quite good- there was not much of a wait to give a drink order & the waitress was attentive, but not overbearing. We placed our food order & were a bit shocked @ how quickly the food was brought to the table. We couldn’t understand how the meals were prepared so fast ( let me mention that we were there for brunch, so it might be a bit quicker than dinner). At 1st bite for all of us we all commented that the food was cold. If it hadn’t come out of the kitchen so quickly, we would have thought it was sitting for a while before being served to us. The only other thing we could come up w/ was that it was perhaps pre-made, & just plated when the order was placed. The taste of the food was quite good, but would have been so much better if it was at least warm.

The staff is great, with speedy and attentive service. The food was absolutely amazing. I don’t usually order chicken out, but their Sasso Chicken was the most flavorful, crispy, and tender I’ve ever had! The atmosphere was friendly, jolly, cozy, and feels like dining in a French countryside homestead.

I whole-heartedly recommend Claudette.

Had late lunch with friends. Nice simple decor. The food was delicious and the portions were good size except my friend's chicken entree. The chicken was paper thin. No bread was offered to the table. Is this a trend? Otherwise, it was a nice experience.
