   Great crowd and excellent food. General vibe was awesome. Places were high, with starters costing almost $30 Staff was very friendly, but forgetful. While waiting for a table to open up for our reservation, we hung at the bar in the back. Three different servers offered chips and guacamole while we waited and every time we said yes. But it wasn’t until the fourth time we were asked that they remembered and brought them to us For the next part, I want to point out that it was raining and so they had to move all of the outdoor patio reservations into the main dining room, which caused a severe delay in reservations. We were completely understanding and patiently waited for the table. We were finally seated an hour and 15 minutes after our reservation. Proceeded to have a great dinner, outside of a small error in our cocktail order. we were fairly surprised to see that we were charged for the chips and guacamole. As they have been offered to us as something to snack on while we waited, I think we all assumed that meant they would be complementary and then after waiting over an hour for our table, we thought it would’ve been the very least they could do to cop a few items on the menu for us. But we were charged full price for all items. We paid without complaint, but it definitely soured our feeling towards this venue.

   A wonderful Oaxacan meal of a very delicious Cevixhe, a shrimp taco with a whole flash fried giant prawn, a delicious oyster “poor boy “ snadwuxh and ethereal dessert. Only concern is the volume was deafening.

   Highly recommend this gem. Everything is prepared with great care and the high level of detail fitting a top tier restaurant.

   Incredible food. Everything is gluten free, so it makes for a relaxing evening for someone with gluten allergies.

   Everything we ordered was Michelin good. Service was outstanding. Such a memorable dining experience.

   Outstanding Oaxacan food. The smell of fresh masa cooking is evident as you enter. Thoughtful mezcal cocktails were excellent.

   The food was delicious. Every dish was perfect with contrasting flavors and textures. I will be back to try the other dishes.

   So disappointed. We have been to Claro many times and this most recent time it was like a different restaurant. The only good dish out of the six we tried was the tuna tartare. The rest were almost inedible and my partner and I both agreed it was the worst let down of a dining experience we've had in NYC. And we spent $250 for two people....hopefully it was just a bad night for them. Not sure we'll be back

    The host was very accommodating when we had to change our reservation time by 30 min and increase our party size from 3 to 4. I thanked him, told it was my birthday, and I was so excited to eat here! We arrived and sat at the bar before getting seated. We were ignored by the bartender for a long time, despite her being right in front of us. She finally acknowledged us and made the best marg I’ve had in ages. Off menu Spicy marg w tequila ( I hate mezcal, and that’s all that was on the menu). Finally seated, and our server is really intense. She was short with dark hair and glasses. She forgot a round of drinks entirely and apologized, but it just seemed like she hated us the entire night. Impatient at best. I don’t care that it was my bday - it was such a weird experience. I will not be back. I don’t understand what all the hype is about. Everyone who works there is very strange and hates people. We went on a Thursday, so maybe don’t do that? So, so disappointing for a $350 dinner for 4.
