Celebrated my 34th birthday here on July 5! The food was wonderful, drinks outstanding, and our waiter was simply lovely. We will be back when we return to Menlo Park next!

we like clarks so much we returned and brought friends, but both times the noise level has been impossible with a 530 reservation. It’s just awful to try to carry on a conversation and I’m sure most people don’t just come there to eat. They wanna talk with their friends, family , guests. Couldn’t Clarks just add some soundboard to those high ceilings above all of us? Everything is hard edges said our engineer friend. I know it’s fashionable to have restaurants loud and lively so they seem popular but honestly, I think it’s going to make a difference with some of your demographics.. trying to figure out a good time to go won’t be so noisy. When I made the reservation two weeks ago, I assumed July 4 weekend would be hot so I booked for inside. Can’t win.

Terrific meal. Crudo was excellent starter. Sauce for the clams and mussels is great. Enjoyed our meal.

Indoor seating very loud. Food terrific. Service much improved from my last visit. We will opt to dine outside next time.

Just French bread. Had the clam chowder very thick and good. Weight staff could not be nicer.

superb oysters, scallop and halibut entrees with well crafted sauces, and excellent linguini with clams. Outdoor ambience superior, a little too noisy indoors.

Some of the worst service ever on the outside deck. The waiter repeatedly ignored our requests to make drinks and then food orders. We ordered just one course and it was one hour to arrive from when we sat down. This was our third visit. The earlier visits were fine although on those we were seated inside.

Too noisy! Waiter forgot our drink order; burger was inedible because it was so rare. Waiter was nice and engaging, but I’ll never go back.

Food and ambiance were great. However, we had a waiter with such horrible attitude who should not be in hospitality. He ruined the first time experience for us. He doesn’t belong with all the other pleasant staff. Get rid of him and the restaurant would be perfect.
