Clark's Oyster Bar Aspen
Good food and service. The noise level is way too high! Perhaps they could do something with that open beam ceiling to dampen the noise?
It’s all about the grilled oysters .....
We loved the atmosphere and the wait staff was over the top good. Had the crab cakes and tenderloin that was cooked to perfection!!
Clark’s Oyster Bar Aspen is one of my favorite restaurant in Aspen. The food is delicious. The staff is professional and friendly. The space is warm, inviting and has plaisant music. The oysters are delicious. It is my go to lunch dinner place.
De nuestros preferidos de Aspen! El mejor lobster roll!
Excellent as usual
Back on top! Our favorite in Aspen ! The octopus, oysters, ceviche all a must order.
We were seated right on time for our reservation. The hostess and servers were very pleasant. We ordered and were satisfied with our first courses. After that, the entire experience went downhill. Our server, while nice, was inexperienced. She seemed overwhelmed by the section she was working and it was nearly impossible to get her attention. Our entrees took an extremely long time and once our meals arrived the halibut was completely overdone. Our server never came to check and we could not get her attention at all. By the time she made an appearance and I informed her the dish was inedible, my husband was finished his meal. The manager walked past our table at least 6 times and never said a word. This place is overrated and overpriced (like everything in Aspen) We will not return here on our next visit to Aspen.
Home away from home. Great to be back, never disappoints Fabulous food, outstanding staff, and lovely atmosphere.
It’s our Aspen favourite.
Great menu of all the seafood you could want and great salads as well. The chiopino was great! The mussels and clams were really exceptional. Enjoy.
Loved my experience - food and service were amazing. A must when visiting Aspen. Can't wait to come back!
I absolutely love this restaurant… The stuff is always courteous and professional and seafood is consistently fresh and delicious and it might be the best meal that I’ve had in Aspen
Super pricey seafood for above average taste. Lobster roll was just ok and was a whopping $38. Crab cake was pretty good though but slightly burnt.
Consistently great service and delicious food. Never disappointed eating here. Hard reservation to get but this place is worth the money and worth the wait!
Server did not bring food in proper order. Never asked if we wanted all our food at once. Very odd pacing of food. Waited longer than people seated at least a half hour after us
We’re from the Bay Area and love seafood. I’m a bit of a clam chowder snob too. Clark’s is now one of our favorites. The linguine with clams and the crudo were excellent!
Appetizers were stellar, but the main dishes were good, not great. I would definitely go again. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. For appetizers we had the steak tartare and reds snapper ceviche. Main dishes were the cioppino and roasted octopus with a side of roasted broccoli.
Sat between the cozy fireplace and aquarium with my daughter. Great service and outstanding caviar service and spectacular oysters. The crab cake and clam chowder were delicious too. My 11 year old is forever spoiled by this experience!
The freshest Oysters ever!!! The Cioppino was absolutely Amazing... a perfect portion with a copious amount of broth for which to dunk the delicious piece of garlic toast! Staff was very friendly and the vibe of the place was relaxed and enjoyable! An Aspen Gem inside an old unassuming wooden store front! Loved it!!!
The food and service were excellent. Our waitress gave us the perfect recommendations for our meals.
This was our second trip to Clark’s and it was very good. We started with the crab Louis salad and shared the whole Bronzino. We loved both dishes! We also had the crudo plate which was delicious. The service was good, not great but it was a busy night. We will be back.
We love this place for the food, atmosphere and the most excellent staff! We love the octopus, this time it was a little mushy in bites and I think you changed the butterscotch? loved this one but we remember loving it more. It was a very busy night so maybe just a few hiccups in the kitchen. We will be back of course!
Amazing. Loved everything about it
Caviar - wonderful! Seafood tower was a small disappointment. Half the oysters were off but they replaced them with great ones! Seafood was good but not great. With that said, service was great and if we had a complaint they went above and beyond to please! I would come back and order hot food and skip the “tower”. Champagne selection is real good and for an Aspen restaurant, prices are fair.
We decided to try Clark's because of the strong reviews it received. We were very disappointed, however. Perhaps foolishly, we made a reservation that overlapped with the end of happy hour, which made conversation virtually impossible for the first half hour. Things quieted down a bit later, but not really to an acceptable level. Food, too, was not up to expectations. Her appetizer (Louisiana grilled oysters) were a bit fishy-smelling, as was my pan-seared halibut. Her clam chowder was also unusual and not to our taste, perhaps because of the bacon used in its preparation. Service, thankfully, was quite good, with an attentive but not intrusive server.
Great selection of oysters that tasted like we were eating them next to the harbor. A good variety of fresh seafood on the menu.
Great food and service. Wonderful place!
Great service and wonderful seafood. Oysters were shockingly good! Would go back again.
I had their full selection of 10 different oysters, 5 from the East Coast (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts) and 5 from the West Coast (Washington state and Baja California) and they were all excellent - fresh and tasty! The burger was great, too. I can wholeheartedly recommend Clark’s Oyster Bar!
We were seated right away and the wait staff was attentive. The music was too loud, the speaker was about three feet above our heads and we could barely hear each other talk. Customers had to raise their voices to be heard, which made it louder yet.
Food was OK, the thin fries that came with the burger (which was cooked to perfection and delicious) were cooked quite crispy, more like a shoestring potato you get in the can. Lobster roll was just OK, not fabulous for a place that should rock it's seafood. Bar scene was lively, might go back for a drink but not impressed with the food.
Table allocation is crooked. On line says no tables but there is plenty.
Food is great and service is very good. Some tables are way to squished and it’s imposdible to avoid them when you book.
Just an awesome dining experience. Well done by all the staff. Liz our outstanding server lead us thru each course. She recommended oysters, the clam chowder (best ever) & dishes she surely loved herself. We had great wine and a great time. Would highly recommend Clark's.
Spectacular food. Really.
We’re regulars . Always good, attentive staff
It’s a little unnecessarily DARK !!!!
Especially since the food presentation is quite nice but you CANT SEE IT !!!!
Service was good until it got busy, & then it was lacking.
