Clam Diggers Beach House and Restaurant

This is one of our favourite places to eat on PEI. After being outed up with COVID-19 it was great to get out in the real world again. Food was great and continues to be best seafood on the Island. Always fresh, well prepared and served with a smile!

We were here 2 nights in a row-1st night everything exceptional! Service 2nd night very slow!

On a hot, sunny summers day there are few dining spots equal to the deck overlooking the Cardigan River. The menu was varied and everything that our group had was excellent.

Once again Clamdiggers Beach House and Restaurant met our expectations. Actually beyond!
We went there to quietly celebrate our youngest son’s 40th Birthday!
The day was perfect, the setting was perfect. Our server was outstanding and oh so friendly.
The food and it’s presentation awesome!
We are so lucky to have this establishment in our area and will definitely be going back time and time again!
p.s. Ms Smith (no relation) the owner and chef has also developed 2 desserts for diabetics. If notified a few days in advance she can usually meet your needs for a truly delicious dessert made for your needs and those of others in your party.

Excellent food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. The only negative comment I could give that there was limited parking.

Seafood was amazing. Steak was a little disappointing, great taste and well cooked but to much fat.

The food was good. However, I had the summer salad but I couldn't eat the mango in it because it tasted fishy. I believe it had been sliced with a knife that had previously been used to cut fish. I am not allergic to fish but this could have been an issue for someone who is. I think all restaurants should have knives dedicated to specific uses. Other than that, the food was fine. We often eat at Clam Diggers and will continue to eat there. After reflecting, I thought I should apprise you of this.

Clam Diggers is a beautiful spot and food is very tasty. I really enjoyed the lobster roll and my husband his fish entree as well.Staff very friendly and capable. Will be back.

First time eating at the new location...beautiful location, my wife and myself left very satisfied! Keep up the great work.

Best Fish & Chips ever!! Waitress was very nice and place was spotless.

Everything was wonderful however we were disappointed to be seated in the back room. Social distancing naturally took away from any ambiance. Too quiet. Scallops were beautiful.

A Canada Day celebration with a long time Friend & Neighbour made especially memorable by the location, A1 service and delicious food!

I always love my treks down east to enjoy the fried clams at Clam Diggers. Only minor things that didn't make my visit perfect this time were 1) no bread was offered in advance of the meal, and 2) due to the restaurant staff doing a wonderful job at physical distancing and following public health guidance for COVID-19, the table choices were limited, so I didn't get a view of the river. Hopefully next time... and there will be many more "next times" as Clam Diggers is one of my all-time favourites.

We drove from Cornwall, PE. The food, price and atmosphere was well worth the drive. Definitely will be back and soon

Anniversary celebration 70 weeks.

One of our favourite restaurants, gorgeous views, great food and the staff are very friendly. We have brought many friends there and they always love it and often come back again. We so appreciate that you stay open as long as you do.

We had a wonderful experience, the waiter was very engaging and made us feel very welcome. Our dishes of a mixed seafood dish, halibut and fried shellfish were all excellent.

The food was delicious. I had a lobster roll. Excellent and my hubby had seafood chowder and fish and chips and a Caesar to drink. His Caesar came with celery that we returned twice. Not cut and cleaned up properly. Waitress understood. His chowder was delish but short on potatoes (really they are cheap on pei) and he said his fish and chips were delish but fish pieces were small. Unfortunately we eat at Richards Seafood in Covehead and their food is excellent and huge portions so it's very hard to beat their fish and chips. I found the lobster roll at Clam Diggers as good as the one at Richards and told the waitress so. clam Diggers charge more but then they are a dine in restaurant. I would recommend Clam Diggers! And we will be back.

We visited off-season...so reservations weren’t necessary. My husband and i split 3 items - the coconut curry mussels (so very good), the breaded clams and the sweet potato fries. Everything was very good.
The views are nice and a great atmosphere. Service was excellent.
Would definitely visit again.

Very casual, great food and excellent service. Best Beet Salad I ever had. Fish tacos, (grilled) yummy.

My dining partner and I were not pleased with our meal taken at Clam Diggers on August 31. It was lukewarm and pre made. Not acceptable.

Great meal with great friends. The server was lovely. She catered to all our needs.

Ordered scallop dinner. Potato salad was cubed and hard...tasteless. Coleslaw was not fresh. Scallops were fine. Decaf coffee was old. Turtle cheesecake was excellent. Cesaer drink was good

I had the Halibut. It was excellent. Unfortunately the serving size was very small. Service was great. Very friendly server. Air conditioning was broken on a hot day but that’s an aberration.

Would give 4.5 or better but I left hungry, therefore poor value for me

A favourite of ours, we always enjoy our experience at Clam Diggers. The menu appeals to both seafood lovers and non-seafood lovers as well. Our server was super friendly and accommodating and the meal was fabulous as always. This was our third visit this ear and we will return very soon.

The service was absolutely first rate! But even better was the food, just incredibly delicious. And of great value! Look forward to returning yet again,

Hostess was rude and wouldn’t give us a better table even though they were empty. Server was excellent. Dinner was very good. Desert was written up as chocolate fudge cake and was certainly nothing like a chocolate fudge cake. My wife liked it o didn’t coffee was very good. Selections of Scotches very weak.

Thank you for the great meal and service. Always a must-do when we vacation on the island.
