Claim Jumper - Tukwila
Excellent steak dinner.
We were celebrating a birthday and the restaurant made the celebration special.
Everything came out quickly and tasty, our server (a male, not sure his name) was very attentive and it was a Saturday night with a very large group next to us. I was pleasantly surprised based off of some questionable reviews I had seen on Yelp. The zucchini appetizer was very yummy and portions are huge. We got one appetizer, one entree and it was more than my family of 3 could eat. Make sure you use your Landry's Select Club number to collect points here, we got 10% off for that.
Would not recommend simply because of the area! Our car was broken into while we were in eating, broken windows!
Great food, good service overall. Drinks were tasty and the price for 4 people with appetizers not bad.
Everything worked out great. Service was great and the pot pie was delicious.
We dined on a Saturday at 6pm. Many people waiting for tables, yet 6 tables in the center of the restaurant went unused. We were told they were short on servers.
This chain built its reputation on good food served in large portions. This is no longer the case. The menu has been pared way back as have service sizes. In addition, Landrys has sold the Claim Jumper chain to another restaurant group. This caused problems with our Landry's Select "Frequent Eater Club" card and it's $25.00 Birthday Gift.
A small steak ordered Well Done came out Medium Rare. That problem was fixed though. A side of baked beans in a bowl came out 2/3 full when I was expecting totally full, I suspect that is the new normal.
We no longer feel Claim Jumper is a good value. It is no longer deserving of its reputation.
Main coarse came out moments after the salads. Salad was not described properly, I’ve never ordered a wedge salad that came with a brown Italian dressing in the lettuce and blue cheese drizzled over the top. Misleading and not very palatable.
My cocktail took 15 minutes to come out and was clearly made by the waitstaff not a bartender. I ordered the tri tip with chicken breast and roasted veggies. Meat was overcooked and lukewarm at best, veggies consisted of a dozen mini button mushrooms and three pieces of stringy cold asparagus. The chicken I assumed the intent was to be breaded, more like bread paste. All around not the restaurant we use to go to a few years ago. So our first time back will be our last. This is just and expensive Denny’s in my opinion.
Wonderful dining experience. Excellent wait staff. Kind and courteous employees. We had ribeye steaks that were prepared perfectly as we requested.
They have really good food and apps. A lot of apps to choose from. I love the potato skins and zucchini is great. Not a lot of places serve zucchini. Service was a little slow, they were packed and out table was right near 2 large parties. They seemed to wait on them more then us.
They did a great job of accommodating our family of 10! Thank you.
The service could’ve been better. The waitress was not very attentive. The hostess was extremely rude when we asked her to take our group’s picture. Very poor customer service on the hostess’ part.
The restaurant was virtually empty. It took 45 minutes from the time we ordered till the food was brought to the table. My daughters Chicken Alfredo with noodles of the kids menu was missing the chicken. Once we finished our meals it took another 25 minutes to get our check, a box and complete checkout.
Greg made my daughter's birthday smooth and special,he was very prompt with our requests all evening and has a great personality. It seems that they took the time to read my Open Table request prior to our arrival. I appreciate that and plan to back soon.
The lighting is very minimal, but the food was great! A little overpriced, but ok for special occasions.
I ordered off the lunch menu. I selected the $8. Sliders and fries. When it came (25 min later) I got 4 sliders vs 2 as I ordered. Waiter said it took so long due to the fries!!! Why should it take that long to make fries? The buns were way over fried and dark so I didn’t eat them and pulled them off the patty. Patties were hard and over fried & didn’t have much flavor. Very unhappy with my meal.
First and foremost, the service was excellent. Very attentive server. It is a little pricey, but you do get a lot of food, so I had enough to take home for lunch the next day. They have lunch specials to mitigate the cost. It was a good experience and I would return and recommend it to someone else!
World's best meat loaf - no kidding. Ample serving. Try it.
Had some issues but management rectified the situation
The food is just not the same as it used to be! Also, wait staff seemed none interested in serving us.
Service was a little slow and we got our salads before our drinks and appetizers. Our drinks for 2 of us that ordered Girls Nite Out, we even wondered if there was any alcohol in them. It sure didn't taste like there was any. My filet was very salty and I didn't have any butter in my baked potato at all. Overall, an ok nite.
Our service was very slow and the server was very rushed and did not follow up on our order - she informed us they were short on staff. Bread that was promised early in the meal came out with the entrees. One of our diners received the incorrect salad dressing and it took a while to get the server's attention and then to receive the correct dressing. Beverages were not checked and one was not delivered until we asked a second time. While entrée was warm, the sides, vegetables and rice, were both cold. I would not recommend this experience to others.
Great place for dinner
We met at Claim Jumper to visit with family for the holiday. The food was okay, not great, not bad, but nothing to rave about. The service we got wasn’t good at all. The waitress waited 30 minutes to come back for our order after her initial introduction. We preceding to have to wait several more times for each encounter with her. Other than that our experience was a nice one and a good midway point for a catch up with cousins.
We were seated as soon as we arrived. Food was great!
Have not been there for awhile. Won’t be going back ever. $200 mistake. Go to Mizuki’s across the street.
Made a reservation for 8..was seated in a long booth..very cramped..server could not reach each person..the people sitting in the booth had to pass food and drinks to proper persons..my husbands dinner was passed to me and it didn’t clear my glass of Pepsi..knocked the glass over and my poor husband wore the entire glass on his lap. He had to sit in it as he was drenched throughout the meal. The server brought towels but that should never have happened. If she could have served us properly and was able to reach each person I would not have knocked over the drink!
We waited close to 5 minutes before a hostess acknowledged that we were at the desk. Two of our party were on walkers. Service was not up to par. We were short one set of tableware. I grabbed a set off another table after several minutes so that my sister in law could eat before her food got cold. Several minutes later a setting was finally delivered to the table. It was my wife's birthday and she had to remind the waitress so that she could enjoy a birthday dessert. We had the impression that the waitress was having an off day or was new. The business was not that busy to account for the delays. Both my wife and I were in the business. This is the first time we left disappointed.
My mom ordered a well done steak, but had some pink.
It sucked we left before even being served. This place has the worst management I’ve experienced in the restaurant business.
Thankfully this was not my first time here...so I know it can be a better experience. Today I was somewhat disappointed with both my meal and the service and I know this is not the norm here. Still, I do expect better from Claim Jumper's and hopefully will receive that in the future.
I ordered the Rotisserie Chicken Dinner with mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus as sides and my friend had the Jambalaya and a side Cesar salad. While the portion size of her salad was unusually skimpy, especially for Claim Jumper's, the portions of everything else was very generous and satisfying. My friend absolutely loved her Jambalaya and for anyone who enjoys spicy foods, this dish is sure to please.
My meal however, left much to be desired in that the chicken was very dry and completely flavorless. And the asparagus, while there were indeed several skinny spears, not only appeared old, shriveled up, and tasteless, it really was. Again, the portion sizes were quite generous so there was plenty of this tasteless food on my plate. I was grateful to have the dry mashed potatoes but some butter for those would have been nice. Why didn't I ask for some?
Because we rarely saw our "server." And when we did, she was less than friendly or helpful. She did not smile or make eye-contact when speaking to us. Although we wanted to order dessert, she was all too eager to simply bring us the check, not once even asking if we were interested in anything else. So it seemed to us that she simply wanted to get rid of us so we left. Perhaps she didn't want to be there either... An overall disappointing experience and hopefully my last.
Severely understaffed on a Saturday night. Half the tables were empty while the lobby was packed with customers waiting to be seated. Otherwise food and waitstaff were on par with what you expect at Claim Jumper.
We were celebrating my daughter's birthday, the service and food were excellent!! Thank you!!
The food was not phenominal for the price and service constantly forgot or messed up the orders.
Great Thanksgiving dinner! Despite the crowds, the servers were attentive and friendly. The food was great.
We had to wait 20 minutes for a reservation made for 3:30pm. My husband's 7 and 7 drink was one of the best he's had including the twist of lemon! Food was excellent with great selections and also with quick service. Waiter was also excellent even though extremely busy. The pumpkin and apple pie were just ok. Next time order pie from Sheris. Valet parking would be nice especially for over 60 and a sign showing where to check in if you have reservations because I was standing in a line that I wasn't even sure it was for until I talked to the attending person who showed me where I should have gone.
My food was cross contaminated with shell fish. They refused to admit that it had been. So I would not recommend if anyone has allergies. Other than having allergic reaction it was fine.
Great service and good selection for Thanksgiving! Glad I didn't have to cook and we got some left overs too
We had a great meal. Thanks to all who gave up their holiday.
Not cheap, but the food is great, and the portions are large. We always like coming here, but this is our first time for Thanksgiving. It was nice and easy!
