Claim Jumper - Tucson
Great service! Food was good, took a while but we had a big group and were fine with it. Gave us a corner so my cousins kids could be loud and not bother anyone! Manager checked on our group twice which was nice.
Great service. Liked the happy hour specials and there was a dish for the whole family
We were very pleased with the Food, Service and the ambience. We both had hamburgers which were cooked to perfection. Fries were hot and really good, too. The value was good but the noise level was a bit too high. Will go back when we're in the neighborhood.
Made a reservation but had to wait 20 min more. Even though most of the tables were empty. Took too long for food and they didn’t bring it out at th same time. It was just 2 of us.
I made my reservation for 8:30 but I ended up being about 10 minutes late, which I thought wouldn't be a problem since their site said they didn't close until 9:30. I was wrong though because they had locked the doors early and finally after a couple servers walked past and ignored us, one guy came to tell us they were closed. I said really? We had 8:30 reservations..he checked and apologized and let us in. Gave us great service and great food! Even the cook( I think was the cook) came to see how we liked the food. It was overall a great experience.
We sat in the bar for a business meeting to be a bit secluded, but the bar filled with customers, so it was not so private. The bartender was a good server, but got busy and it took an extended time to get the table cleared and get our check. The food was good. Good experience overall.
It was very quiet when we arrived. It took a server 5 minutes to get our drink order, Five more minutes to get our drinks, and then about 15 minutes to get our food order. Got our salads about 15 minutes later and then dinner about 25 minutes after that. We were one group of 2 in our section so our server had no excuse nor did the kitchen, for taking SO long to prepare our meals.
Food was flavorless and portions tiny.
Was in town to drop son off at U of A. Food was ok, large portions. Unfortunately service was terrible. We saw our waiter twice. Once to take our order and again to deliver the check. I have been to other Claim Jumper’s and this really didn’t compare. Wish it would have.
Delicious food, lovely ambience, excellent service - we had a party of 8 celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday and had a wonderful time there. My only complaint - and not a major one - is that it was a little chilly inside. This is a common problem in Tucson during the summer months, however, and much better than miserably hot. Overall, it was a great evening.
Service was excellent. I had a chopped Cobb salad. Everything was freshot and delicious.
Was a very nice place to meet my son's new girlfriend. Food was tasty ,service from April spot on.
We were a little disappointed that we had to wait about 10 minutes after arriving even though we had a reservation.
We were seated about 6:15 and were told that the table bread was still baking. An entre that I wanted was also still baking and would take 45 minutes to be ready.
Other than that, the experience was fine.
Food was really good but our service sucked. We had one refill on water and was checked on one time right after our our food was delivered. We waited another 5 minutes for silverware so our food was a little cool by the time I got to eat it. If the service was even 10 times better it would be 5 stars for service!
I was so looking forward to eating here. I knew when my dinner salad came out that I might be disappointed with the rest of the meal. Salad was warm and nothing special. My entree had to be returned because my baked potato was cool and the meat just looked terrible. I had it cooked a bit more and that helped, but overall, I was disappointed. The chocolate cake was decent but I'm not sure why it's rated one of the best like the menu claims. My daughter can bake as good or better cake. The server was very nice and the manager was doing his best to help out. They are not lacking in the service department, but need to improve their food!
I only had one complaint about the entire evening & management handled it swiftly & to my satisfaction. I'd definitely return again.
The food was good. That’s about it. Service was poor. Overpriced.
We arrived and sat there for 30 minutes. We didn’t even get served or greeted! Worst part was that it was my birthday and there was about 10 of us. So embarrassing that we had to leave and go elsewhere! Never going back here again!!!
Roasted chicken was really good. The service was poor and not welcoming. No clearing of appetizer plates, checking in after receiving our dinner. No food garnishes accompany your meal. The salad that comes with the meal was tasty but a bit skimpy.
Normally we enjoy dining at Claim Jumper but our last visit the restaurant we found it to be very warm and stayed that way even with inquiry about the effort to cool it off. Our food was average and a bit disappointing since we most always have great meals there. My husband's meal was incorrect and we had to wait a while for him to receive a different meal....awkward. Our waitress, however was delightful and efficient. She apologized and what was happening was not her fault. We will return to the Claim Jumper knowing this was just an off night.
Slow service mediocre food, too expensive we have tried this place several times and it doesn't seem to be get better
The quantity for the price has dropped quite a bit over the few years. The food was tasty, and a mistake by the waitress was corrected quickly. Just would not go back often for the price of the entrees.
We looked at the menu on line because I wanted the beef ribs. After we got seated, drinks and bread I found out they don’t have the beef ribs anymore. That really disappointed me as it it the only reason I go there. I ordered the country fried steak instead, it was only fair because it was too salty. My son in law had the pot pie. He said it was good. My wife had the rotisserie chicken, she liked it a lot. My daughter had the grilled chicken, she said it was ok. Overall it was mostly good. Our server was great. I probably won’t go back because I really liked the ribs.
I took my husband to Claim Jumper's for Father's Day. We had a wonderful waitress, and great meal. I just can't say enough good things about yesterday.
I was happy they took a reservation. I was anxious that a party of 9 on a Saturday would wait a long time, but I was able to reserve a table. The server was so kind, especially since the second half of our party arrived 20 minutes late. Service was fast and efficient. It was a great evening with all of my babies there. Thank you!
Across the board, the service by all staff was terrible. Not at all what we are used to when coming here, and was embarrassing as we brought a guest. From the moment we entered, the hostess was more concerned that we were not “the party of 14” and didn’t bother to check us in on Open Table or even recognize us by name. We asked about a large booth in the bar as there were five in our party, and she just said it was open seating and handed us menus to take with us. Our server only had three tables in the bar - no idea if she had others in the main restaurant- but she was infrequently at the table. We asked for kids menus and after ten minutes, I sent my son to get them. Then sent him back again after our appetizers came and we had no silverware or napkins. The bartender left ingredients out of our drinks, and then fixing them took several minutes — again we were one of three tables in the bar and she was not visibly busy. The manager served a few meals, and when asked if we could get a spoon - he also didn’t return with one for several minutes - so the food sat waiting getting cold. There was no recognition for the long, unnecessary waits nor the lack of customer service. I’ll avoid coming back on a Saturday night.
Our waiter Bill was AMAZING. Very attentive to my children as well as the rest of my party. I will definitely be going back.
Awesome service and awesome food!
For my sons graduation. It was a great time and the service really made it a great experience!!
We've gone to Claim Jumper a couple times a year for the past several years. Hubby loves the meaty beef ribs! This year was a total disappointment. The hostess kept us waiting to be seated but did not ask our table preference. She took us to a booth first & we asked for a table. The first table was very tippy, so we asked to be seated at another table. No problem moving, but she knew the first table had a problem, so why hadn't it been fixed already? Our server was good, attentive & friendly. They have cut the order of beef ribs from 3-4 down to just 1 rib, but still charging $25 for it. I believe that is very overpriced. Our guests ordered Baby Back ribs, which they reported to be very dry. Our baked potatoes were barely lukewarm. We do not recommend & we will not be back.
Bill, our server, was outstanding. It was Mother"s Day, and very busy, but he kept checking on us. The food was very good, love the calamari!
Eat hee many times but this was Mothers Day and very hectic. Our usual waitress Penelope tried her best but was really busy. The issue was that my main course was delivered cold afater a significant wait. I sent it back but had to wait over 10 minutes for the manager to bring it back. My wife had already finished by that time so I told him I did not want it. He took it back and credited that plate so nothing wrong there, just wanted to eat with my wife!
I took my mother to the Tucson Claim Jumper on Mother's Day. We were seated promptly, attentive service, and great food. It was a bit busy being Mother's Day with several small children but the staff handled it all with ease. $40 for 2 mimosas and a shared salad seemed a bit steep though.
When we arrived we were told we still needed to wait 30 minutes. Why have an account with open table if I still have to wait? When we were finally seated we passed by 10 open tables
We all had salads. We wish there were more orange segments in our salad. The manager came over and said that the candied pecans wouldn't be ready for another 45 minutes. We said we'd take the regular, but we'd like the candied ones brought out when done. They were never brought out. The music was a bit loud once you got more people in there. They said they weren't able to adjust the volume.
It seemed super busy-waiters, bus people, servers everywhere but super slow for some reason. Ordered sirloins medium and medium rare and they were served to us very well done. After about 10 minutes, the manager had come out and take our plates back to fix our order. The sides were sloppy. We were there for about an hour and thirty minutes before we finally got our check. Not impressed, flavor was okay, but not going back.
The food was good with many side items available.
The prices are a little high, this keeps us going there, only on special occasions.
Great menu selection. Everything was delicious - especially Cowboy Candied Bacon! Would definitely recommend.
