Great salad and French Dip
We had our Valentines dinner at Claim Jumper. They have a large menu. We chose from the prime steak house menu. The steaks were okay. But the price was reasonable. They serve a lot of food.
I had a reservation. When I got to the front the lady wouldn’t even look at me to at least tell me they’d be right me with. Finally get a a table or 2 since there were 5 of us and Covid rules. I wish it told me when I was making the reservation that they would separate us cuz the main reason I chose this place was because it would actually let me reserve over 4, not knowing they would separate us. Then I could’ve chosen a different place. We waited for our order for 45 min. The girl that got our drink orders came by and was also surprised that we haven’t gotten our food yet. I think they forgot about us. Our mac n cheese was cold and I couldn’t eat my shrimp cuz some were raw as in still gray. I would rather have over cooked seafood than barely done. So I asked to take it home so I can cook it longer cuz I knew better than to send my food back. They at least took it off the check. I still left a 20% tip that i shouldn’t have but we like the girl that got our drink orders. Anyway we’re never going back. The portions weren’t even close to how people said that they’re huge. I guess since Covid they don’t care about good food or good service since they know people are desperate to go out to eat.
The only reason I left a 4 star on food was because my daughter’s pizza was burnt on the bottom. We didn’t notice until we got home and it was to late to say anything. Other than that, we had an amazing dinner, with great service and food.
Very good food and very friendly people
Service was very slow even though no one really was in the building. We ordered food to go or 7 ounce steaks were the size of 2 oz
We waited about 15 minutes to get our drink orders taken, upon the arrival of the waiter we were ready to place our entire order. We ordered spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, though the main entrees arrived within a reasonable time, the steak I had ordered as MED-RARE, came out well done, I had to return my order. Mind you, the spinach artichoke never came, until we asked for it after sending back my steak. Server seemed to have very little interest in helping us out. - After apologizing and telling us that he’d “take care of our check” I certainly wasn’t expecting him to comp the entire order. But he couldn’t even give us 5% off for our troubles. We ended up paying $100+ dollars for a dinner that was so unsatisfactory. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning to this restaurant any time soon.
Service was slow but good when we seen her. Food was terrible for the price.
We love to eat in the bar area by the fireplace. It is quiet and cozy. The service was great and the lobster BLT was delicious. Always a good deal for the price.
In the past, the food was amazing. Sadly, it has not been good for our last two visits. It wasn’t very fresh or hot. Our service was excellent, though. For the price, we expected more.
The tri tip was not chewable.. it was cold my baby came out with a runny nose.. the crispy brussel sprouts was burnt and had something not of brussel sprouts gene in them..
Generous portions, good food. Covid protocols being followed, feels very safe.
Was treated poorly. Staff was rude and inconsiderate. Food was disgusting.
The food was only okay. I probably wouldn’t go back. They had no Chardonnay to sell by the glass and wouldn’t open a bottle of wine that they sold by the bottle and sell us a glass. The manager was very rude over the whole situation. Overall it wasn’t what I remember it being from a couple of years ago.
Food was excellent with their typical generous size portions.
Service was excellent. Food was good and prompt. Deserts well very good.
Reservations are needed and simple. Food was Fabulous and the waitress was awesome. I would recommend Claim Jumper to all my friends.
Was very quiet, we sat near the fireplace/bar area. We paid more than we anticipated as they have done away with some of the happy hour menu as far as we could tell. They no longer offer a paper menu for it, you need to scan a QC bar code to bring it up on your phone. Also, they no longer offer bread anymore. The food was great and cooked perfect. Our only complaint is that my husband had TWO silverware packets that were dirty. Other than that the waitress was nice, could have checked on us a bit more, but she was great with any questions/needs we had.
Hat's off to our server Ted who was very attentive and friendly! Claim Jumper menu is quite varied (even during the pandemic) there is plenty of good options to choose from. I will say I was a bit disappointed to find out that stand alone Claim Jumper restaurants that are not located in Nugget casinos are no longer part of the Landry's Select Club and have built up some points in the program that I assume will expire because there are no other participant restaurant's in my area. Claim Jumper did offer a 10% discount as a result of the separation, which was appreciated.
Even though you are not part of Landry’s you were able to honor my wife’s birthday. We appreciated the effort as we went there in particular to celebrate her birthday.
This place has been run down over the years. Dirty coffee cup, torn vinyl seats, bathroom smells like they have some kind of sewage issue / pipe issue. Needs a remodel/freshen up. The food was ok, my rib eye was pretty small for what was to be 12oz, but maybe it’s just me. The server was very pleasant and the sides where good ... especially the wedge salad. Overall I wouldn’t come back unless someone gave me a gift card. There are much better places for similar prices. That being said, if I did get another gift card, things weren’t so bad that I wouldn’t use it.
Great waiter - but food was just ok - went for lunch. The lunch items were over priced for what you got! 1/2 sandwich and a small handful of fries for 11.99 Come on what a rip off and the menu doesn’t tell you your getting 1/2 a sandwich 😡
Fantastic love the 7 layer cake😊 would recommend
My waitress is outstanding shes my favorite love the food, love the ambiance and the desserts were phenomenal
Delicious food, courteous staff, great atmosphere!
Celebrating the new year with rib eye's and cheese cake! Happen to get a table by the fireplace which was extra special. Thank you for the great service. I loved being able to make a reservation. Happy New Year
Worst steak I have ever eat. Fed a 60 dollar steak to my do. He even got sick. Spent 250 dollars on crappy food service and drinks. We all took box of leftover food and tossed out when we got home. I have tired your place 2 times and both times a big disappointment.
It was a very sunny day and it was excellent food and not hurried in anyway to go. Had a wonderful time visiting with a friend. I will be back
It’s a great place and everyone is very friendly! Definitely recommend!
We have been in a couple times. The first was a family celebration and we rented the private side room. The second was daughter-in-law birthday and third was Christmas Eve. I think we have been in two other times for drinks or everyday dinning. What keeps us coming back is the ambiance and convenience. However, the food is not always good or correct. On average about half of our table is happy with the food and half is not. This is a shame because we love sitting by the big fireplace, the stained glass, and Montana vibe.
Best Restaurant Experience Ever and delicious food!
I totally understand the Covid, but when we made reservations for 5 people we should have been told we couldn't even be in booth across from each other. Spacing between booths is more then covers the social distancing. We had to speak loudly with each other or get up and walk to each others booth. We explained this was employees for our Christmas dinner. I have been going to Claim Jumpers for many years and it seems the quality of service keeps going down.
Anniversary
This restaurant has gone downhill. Food portions have gotten much smaller. Lots of perks no longer associated with Landrys.
I was initially excited to bring my family to Claim Jumper-Reno, as we have one near Portland and have not had a problem in the past - good service, good food, attention to details. Not this time!
I was not advised prior to seating in the restaurant that our reservation for 6 would be split between 2 tables. This was a celebration, so we were table hopping in order for everyone to acknowledge the guest of honor. The water glasses were dirty - you could feel the grime on the outside of the glasses. When brought to the attention of the manager, she took the glasses and our waiter brought new ones. When the food came, we asked for a separate plate to split 1 meal - to share. The plate was also dirty - dried food to the bottom of the plate and still had a film on the top.
Not sure if they are skimping on portions because of pandemic, but the food value was not up to par. Steaks were thin, sides were served in small cups on the plate. Didn't even get one of the appetizers that were ordered.
Continued issues with the bill - initially should have only had AARP discount. Then management offered to pay for an appetizer - then they voided the AARP discount and offered $20 off. Definitely not what I expected from Claim Jumper.
Everything was wonderful and I would certainly recommend it again
Terrible. Food was old and cold. Horrible service. They forgot our order. Very expensive. By far the worst dining experience I’ve had.
Decent overall. Service was great.
How good can a restaurant visit be with COVID protocol ?
This is a great place to grab a quick bite. We went later in the evening and it paid off. The noise from their overhead "radio" leaves much to be desired.
The food and ambiance was very good. All the staff wore masks. The dessert was delicious.
