Claim Jumper - Reno
Ordered Blended Margarita got on the rocks. Waitress was terrible. Food was good. Asked for salt and pepper never got, wife ordered fish and chips and bowel of clam chowder. never got. If you are going to pay $70.00 for food the experience needs to be worth it. First time I have never left a tip.
Good good, huge portions! Service was a bit slow or inattentive by our main waiter. Would still go back though!
We were charged for our appetizer of free cheese toast with marinara, even though OpenTable said it was free when we made our reservation. The macaroni & cheese side dish was cold when served, but was then microwaved to room temperature when we asked for it to be replaced. Overall, our first poor experience of a Landry’s restaurant.
One of my associate from my party of 14 apparently brought an open container without my knowledge. I was not informed after I inquired about my waitresses whereabout; we haven't seen any of the staff over 30 minutes. The manager apparently called the police to escort us out instead of just letting us know of the situation in which we would of complied. Apparently my diversed group was threatening enough to warrant a police escort. They definitely lost our business and respect.
We returned back to Claim Jumper after not having been to one for many years back in SoCal. We were looking forward to going back after moving to Reno and finding out there was a Claim Jumper in town!
Unfortunately, our drink order took about 20 minutes to arrive and our server was borderline on being rude to us. Food was average / mediocre.
Maybe I just remember it being better than it was? Regardless, I wont be back.
The food was cold when it came out. The pasta was steaming in the middle and cold everywhere else like when you put food in the microwave. Overall just not a good experience
I really enjoyed a quieter and safe experienced during this Covid era. I liked the wine & beer selections. I also liked their wide assortment of freshly made dishes. Great service.
Food was cold when received. None of us in our group finished our food. Table of 5 adults and 2 children. We were here for 2 1/2 hours which mostly was waiting on our food to arrive, as well as our drinks. Didn’t get asked if we wanted to refills, so most of the time we waited for our waiter to return to ask for a refill and he would forget. Until the end when we were ready to pay, he brought us our drinks but at this point what’s the point of even giving it to us when we’re about to head out. Never coming back here. Please polish up your staff. I get it we’re in COVID, but he only was waiting a 4 tables besides us.
The food, drinks and service were wonderful. Have missed coming to this restaurant. Glad to be coming back.
Great ambiance, excellent service but the salad was limp. Not a good way to start out a $300 dinner. Again, EXCELLENT service. Will go back.
Smaller menu than what I remember
2 Filet mignon's cooked wrong twice, server hard to track down.
Much smaller menu and they still were out of a lot of things. Out waiter was good but was overwhelmed. Young man that was the host had no personality whatsoever. Overall it was just ok, would definitely not be my first choice. It was the only dining option tonight, every other restaurant had a long wait, not at this place. Y
Value has changed for the worse. Less food that costs more.
This Claim Jumper was following social distancing protocol and seating people far apart. My server was super friendly and my food (filet) was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. A very pleasant dinner. I’m new to Reno and am sure I’ll return to this Claim Jumper in the future.
Three out of four orders came out wrong. One order came out wrong twice. Drink refills were incorrect.
Not as good as I remember it being plus they were out of almost all their beer and had a limited menu.
Great experience great waitress good food thank you
Good lunch today. Food was good. My wife especially enjoyed her grilled salmon with rice. Service was attentive and friendly.
Super great waitress!!
The food was good. Our server was not
My wife and I were celebrating Valentine’s Day. (Our 25th)
We ordered the exact same steak. The food was brought out and my steak was incorrect. By the time I received a new steak, my wife had already finished eating.
My steak also did not have food flavor.
Very disappointing experience!
We had the vegetarian pizza and it was excellent! Two others had the 7 oz filet and said it was outstanding! We love Claim Jumpers. For desert we had the large piece of chocolate cake with 3 scoops and vanilla! WOW was it good!
Served half the table forgot to put in order for second half of table. We got to watch everyone eat. They eventually got us our food and made it right.
We had reservations for 6:00pm. We got there 15 minutes early and checked in. There was a big convention in town (Safari Club Intl) right across the street from the restaurant. The waiting area was packed both with people who had reservations and didn’t. We were told by the hostess that they only had 3 servers and the kitchen was backed up so they would seat us when they could. We were finally seated at 645. 45 minutes after our reservation. The food snd service were good. I believe it was the manager that served us.
claim jumper in reno says they are not affilliated with open table so didn't get the 100 points :(
Food was good but a bit pricey for what it was. Server was friendly and attentive. Only bad part is when you first walk in. I came in and was looking for the other half of my party and no one was around to ask. Another group walked in and cut in front of me. Then when I did speak with someone they said I didn't have a reservation until I showed him my email confirmation.
Definitely not the ClaimJumper I remember. Do not live near one but had visited in the past and it was always good. Not this time. Restaurant was half empty. Food was very bland and over priced for what you got. Service was good although they brought my wife the wrong meal. They offered to fix it and gave us 10% off the bill. Still not worth it and even though we don’t live close, we won’t be back.
Outstanding everything, food, service, ambiance, excellent restaurant will return from now on. David price
Before ordering we asked the server if I could get a real end cut of prime rib, because an end cut is usually cooked at least medium well. She said let me check and went off to the kitchen. She returned and said yes. So I ordered an end cut of prime rib. When our order arrived it was not an end cut but rather a regular center cut of prime rib cooked rare and pink. We asked the server why I didn’t get an end cut like ordered and she said “I can’t control what the kitchen does.” We’ll pass the word about service at Claim Jumper and never eat at one again.
Food was goo and quick and our waitress was very nice
They had no idea about the notes left in the reservation
Was seated at a table that was too small for our group. Service was slow. Ceaser salad was served with barely any dressing, couldn’t taste it had to ask for more. Two of us had chicken fried steak and it was tough, tasteless, too little gravy and the potatoes were dried out.
I don’t feel like writing out the whole experience, but it was wonderful all around. Amazing night.
Ordered Tri-tip steak and it was tough and gristly! Had to send it back. Next round was very good! Also had the impossible burgers and were disappointed that they did not come with all items described on the menu. Had a great server...she made things right as best she could!
Even though I had a reservation they had me waiting almost 30 min after and they weren't even busy. The food was cold and some items weren't edible. It was even noted that this was for a birthday and received no acknowledgement.
Service was very good food was horrible Prime Rib was so tough you could not cut it with a steak knife the filet was the same both dishes were sent back.
Food was excellent, we may do this again next Thanksgiving.. The only thing we had to ask for was when we ordered our Mexican Coffee's they did not come with anything whipping cream on top. otherwise everything was great..
The food was brought to the table cold. Then they brought it back and it was over cooked. Not very good. The stiffen was under the turkey mead and it was cold to. Like they cooked way ahead of time and did not keep it worm.
