DINNER WAS GREAT. IT WAS QUIET BUT IT DID GET A LITTLE WARM. I HEARD A GIRL SAY THE AC WAS OUT. BUT IT WASN'T TERRIBLE. DRINKS WERE GOOD. OVERALL THE ONE THING THAT WAS A CONSTANT POSITIVE WAS THE SERVICE. OUR SERVER NAMED CHRISTOPHER WAS EXCELLENT. HE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE, HELPFUL AND SO NICE. CLAIM JUMPER IS GOOD BUT WITH SERVICE LIKE THAT, YOU JUST CAN'T GO WRONG. THANKS CHRISTOPHER. TIL NEXT TIME.

There were two surprises that didn't set well with me. 1. On the Menu Shoe string potatoes were listed but when the food was delivered they were not served. When I inquired of this I was told they had not had them for a 'long' time. 2. When the bill came there was a surcharge on it that we ere not aware of..

I used to come here every Friday with my 3 kids for dinner. Good memories. This time, we wanted to get drinks to start, but when I went to the bar, they never even looked at me. So at my table, it took 25 minutes to get watery long island ice teas, in tiny glasses with tins of ice. The food came on a metal tray that made me feel like i was either in high school or prison. Others had plates, it was random. Food was mediocre, our server tried his best to get us our requests. No music playing at all, and the A/C was off or set at 80+. I didn't eat anything except my baked potato. So sad, I brought my friends with because we go out to dinner together every Friday night. We usually have a loud fun time, but we felt like everyone could here our conversation. Not a great time.

We had a great time but felt the place was a shell of its former self. Service was good, food was good, but the place was run down and felt more like an expensive Denny’s rather than the festive place it used to be.

the food was pretty good, but no bread for the table and i said we had a birthday when reserving the table but no mention of anything. they also add a 3% surcharge per person. maybe for those reasons it was pretty empty on a friday night. also the waiter never came by to ask if everything was ok, no water refill.

Service has always been excellent, the food on the other hand I’ll just say this I’ve had a better 2am steak at dennys. Ordered a 12 oz prime ribeye by far the worst steak I’ve ever had, how can you ruin a ribeye and for $55 steak only, take my word stay away from the steaks totally not worth it. Didn’t taste like any ribeye I’ve ever had as if it had been in the freezer since the pandemic started and some weird liver type after taste. My wife had the steak and shrimp plate said hers was bland and tough. Not what it use to be but you can always find a table and the service is the only reason for me giving them 3 stars. We didn’t complain because our server was so good and they don’t cook the food anyway just thought we’d share to save someone the disappointment.

Mimosa had more juice than alcohol. Father’s Day Buffet cost was too much. Omelet was good. Not enough desserts. Hardly anything in the salad bar. Would return for regular menu.

No Salad Bar: We called a week ahead to make sure the Father's Day Buffet includes a salad bar. We were told, "Yes." We arrived on June 19th to find that the entire salad bar was "covered up" with empty plates, except for 3 bowls of lettuce. That was a huge letdown. A bowl of lettuce does not make a salad bar. Where are the mushrooms, the broccoli, the tomatoes, potato salad, etc, etc? We went to the Rancho Cucamonga Claim Jumper for Mother's Day, and they had a full spread of salad bar. What happened in Northridge? On top of that, the salad dressings in Northridge tasted like they came out of a Sysco 5-gallon can -- poor taste compared to the home-made salad dressing used in Rancho Cucamonga. You don't think your customers know the difference? We do. What's worse, I heard the hostess telling a customer at the front desk, "Yes, we have a salad bar today!" How can you lie to people like that, knowing that around the corner is a boarded-up salad bar with nothing more than a bowl of lettuce? To top it off, the waitress was pandering to the customers at EVERY table, repeatedly begging them to write a good Yelp review, including HER name, so she could win a "$500 scholarship." That's a spin-off of the age-old door-to-door magazine sales scam: "I only need one more magazine sale and I'll win a $500 scholarship!" That kind of misreprentation does not belong in a restaurant, and I wonder if Corporate knows what is going on in Northridge Claim Jumper. You must think your customers are a bunch of idiots, to feed us the scholarship scam. This is obtaining Yelp reviews by misrepresentation and fraud.

We were not informed at the time we made that reservation that the only choice we would have would be to go to the buffet. We thought we would be able to order off the menu after looking at the Buffay it did not look appetizing and the area they had it in was very dark so you couldn’t really even see the food. We ended up leaving because the Buffay was not to our liking and we weren’t able to order off the menu

They couldn’t reaccommodate the seating so I sat somewhere that wasn’t comfortable for me. Then when I got up to get my food because it was a brunch buffet the dishes were dirty and the staff member that I notified seemed irritated by the fact that I was letting her know that the dishes were dirty. She wanted me to use them that way. I mean I’m sure if she went somewhere to eat she wouldn’t want to eat from a plate that had bbq sauce from someone’s dinner the night before and not to mention Covid. The food was good but not amazing I would prefer a la carte. I asked my waiter if they had the chocolate cake that I love from claim jumper’s so I could take a slice back home for Father’s Day to my dad because he’s a nurse and was on duty and I wanted to take him something since he couldn’t make it and my serve never let me know if they had anything available. Over all it was not a great experience. It felt extremely unorganized and extremely understaffed. It was Father’s Day you should have known it was going to be crowded. I love claim jumper’s but this experience was a let down maybe next I’ll give it another go because my family really loves this restaurant but I was really disappointed by the experience.

The quality of food from previous brunches there seemed to have gotten lesser. Prices are up and we get that, but the quality of food at CJ used to be much better. The services at our table was only so so, the salad bar was only partially stocked and available...I mean we get that prices are up but if you are going to charge someone $40 per person, then there should be fresh vegetables on the bar, and the chicken shouldn't be warmed up from the night before, and the muffins should acutually be toasted ...lots of small things like that along with the quality of the food itself just made it less than stellar. It wasn't a horrible experience or anything, and we certainly ate our meal and celebrated our guest of honor...but it was less than we are accustomed to at CJ....we've always been big fans

We went thinking we would be enjoying Sunday Brunch Buffet. Turns out that they only offer that for mothers and Father’s Day. The claim jumper website says otherwise. I find it unprofessional for the restaurant staff and management to not be aware that their website has not been updated. This is why claim jumper has declined in service and I’m sure in revenue.

The steak was probably priced market value but when I order a steak, I expect the stated weight of meat received to be the size and amount listed on the menu ( 12oz. steak should be 12oz. of meat not 4 oz. of fat and 8 oz. of meat. I shouldn't be paying for fat. The baked potato (loaded) was delicious but the amount of vegetables on the plate was miserly. The waiter did an excellent job of taking care of the table. I think other high end steak houses ( Ruth Cris, Outback etc. ) are better priced for what is put on the table.

I was a bit upset at the 30 minute wait even though I had a reservation. Based on what the hostess said there was either a staffing issue and/or a lack of tables. There were empty tables so I have to believe it was a staffing issue. I understand, things happen so I don't fault them for the unexpected occurrence, it just started my dining experience off negatively and there was no recovery to speak of.

Went for the first time with my family of 5. When the food came only 4 orders came - one was completely forgotten. A side order of Brussels sprouts arrived towards the end of our lunch. The “creamy” coleslaw was raw. The mushrooms on my 12 oz Rib eye were undercooked. The Brussels sprouts had zero seasoning. The fountain drinks (coke) were watered down. We received a slice of chocolate cake which was chewy instead of moist. I am disappointed in this establishment and will not return.

It was stated as a Mother’s Day Brunch buffet. The only availability was 2:45pm and it finished at 3:30pm. We were advised once we got there, so had to get our food quickly, this wasn’t the issue as it was enough time to get food but the presentation of it was horrible. It was such a mess. The serving spoons and everything to get food were crusted with food from people who served themselves earlier. There was no upkeep of the presentation throughout the event. I was so embarrassed of taking my mother in law and my mom there. Never again.

We decided to go to Claim Jumper for Mother’s Day because for years we had been accustomed to the fantastic food and large portions the restaurant was famous for. However this Mother’s Day the restaurant provided a $40 buffet breakfast that was substandard to what we had become accustomed to, actually embarrassing. The waffles and pancakes were cold, the bacon was burned stuck together, the omelettes were over cooked and the rest of the food that was being warmed but hot water over burners was over cooked and sometimes dry. The salad bar was ok with lots of choices but the deserts were small and not up to standard. The other disappointing thing is that champagne wasn’t included with the $40 price. They were charging $9 extra per glass or $14 extra for all you could drink champagne. Definitely not worth the money. Overall it was a terrible experience for me and my family

I asked for steak to be well done and was not done right. It was bloody. I got sick just looking at it. Send it back and still was pink inside. I did not eat it :( $$$$ down the drain. I had gone there before and no problem. But not that night . I was celebrating my sister birthday and heard waiters singing to other people but when we were done no one came to sing along.
