Server was very distracted and forgetful. Never apologized for dirty napkins, forgetting tableware, sugar, whipped cream on the pumpkin pie, etc. and other guests were offered these items by their servers. Wished her happy thanksgiving as she led us to our table and she said, “Thanksgiving? I don’t even know what that is.” We were there at 3:00 p.m., so it wasn’t too busy yet. We get that the holidays can be stressful for some, but don’t take it out on your guests. If our lives were perfect, we’d be dining at home with our families, too. Food was good. Chowder was super salty. Pie was ice cold. However, thankful for the occasion and the portions.

The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because of our amazing waitress. This poor lady was stretched so thin tending bar, running drinks, waiting on her HUGE section and dealing with hostess stuff. It's crazy that we pay a 3% service fee for the increase in prices and staffing BUT THEY WERE TOTALLY UNDERSTAFFED on a Sunday. The food runner forgot the side a marinara sauce for our daughters spaghetti. Twice.... he kept saying he'd get it and then we wouldn't see him for 15 min. By the time we saw the waitress again our daughter had just eaten the noddles because she was so hungry. Please tell me why we paid $10 for a bowl of noodles and steamed broccoli.

The apps were pretty good and the onion rings were ok. My fish and chips had absolutely no flavor and the fries were cold.

Overall... not worth the price of the food whatsoever.

Again.... our waitress was SO AMAZING... She wears a Mickey/Minnie mask... I wish I could remember her name.... and she's the only reason I gave any stars. That girl needs a raise.

The tri tip was overcooked and tough, the baked potato was cooked earlier and seemed as though it was reheated in the microwave and was hard. We will not return.

It was nice to be back at Claim Jumper after it closed down due to a pandemic. My family and I have had great memories in the past at this restaurant. We had a wonderful time, great customer service, and staff!

The waitress was either very new or very bad at her job also the menu was missing what 3 of the four of us had gone there for and the new selections did not come close to a replacement. two of our party ate about 10% of there meal there was no taste to it and one other could only eat about half of theres and there was no question by the waitress why.most of there meals were left un eaten very poor training. This is not the claim jumper we love to go to when were in town. Your menu now is not worth going out of our way for anymore and on top of poor food and poor service you have raised your prices by a large percentage and then to top it off you charge a 3% fee on our bill for no apparent reason and no prior notice to customer until we left and saw a small sign on a counter mixed in with others so you can miss it very easily

We ordered 3 cups of clamp chowder,
The spoons are unwashed look nasty , then I call server to get me the clean spoons, but after saw that spoon I lost my taste,
All four main dishes that we ordered they’re very salty, we wouldn’t finish 1/8 of the food, I talk to the server she said : I will talk to the manager. But no want show up, we paid and left,
I’m not recommended this restaurant

Sad that the menu is small compared to pre-Covid. Not serving muffins/bread anymore, only cold tea option is unsweetened. Was a birthday dinner and noted so in the reservation but they did absolutely nothing about it. The restaurant’s theme should be CA gold mining era but they made it look generic- what’s the point? It’s now an expensive “Denny’s” - sad!

Food is always very good. We had a reservation for 4 so we were seated and waiting for the other couple to show up. We let the greeter know the other couple was coming. 1/2 hour later, we got a text that they had been waiting in the bar for 20 minutes and asked when we would arrive. Long story short, the greeters or hostess or whatever, didn't get their stories straight and seated us at opposite ends of the restaurant. We wasted unnecessary time. Our server wasn't sure what the specials included.

Our waiter was amazing! The food was ok. The drinks were sub par at best. There were several large parties going on. It was very loud. The kitchen may of been stressed, or maybe understaffed, which seems to be everywhere now a days. But 3 of our 4 meals came to the table incorrect. Since covid even 5 star restaurants have fallen from grace. Seems to be the new normal. But our waiter handled it all amazingly even taking care of one of the large parties, we never got forgotten.

The food has definitely taken a nosedive. The cheesy garlic bread alone should’ve told us to beware. They literally took sandwich slices and put cheese on top. The loaded mashed potatoes looked like they just poured some velveeta cheese on top with a sprinkle of bacon bits. Buyer beware.

There's a 3% surcharge on top of your bill just for eating there. They have certainly raised their prices enough to cover their additional expenses due to COVID as they claim it is for. We both had the Lobster BLT. It was OK but for the price definitely not enough lobster. There was about a shmear of lobster on it, not even a decent thin layer to cover the most of the sandwich. At 6:30 the restaurant was nearly empty. It was very clean, quiet and the service was very good. They are currently having a Happy Hour 7 days a week from 4 to 7 p.m. that has a small selection of appetizers, cocktails and wines on it. We ordered the calamari from the HO menu. The calamari strips were really nice pieces, not heavily breaded and not greasy. It was a pretty small amount though. I don't know if the regular one is any bigger. Don't know if I would go back anytime soon due to the 3% charge.

It’s unfortunate the quality of the food is not up to par. I ordered the classic tri tip sandwich. Clearly the meat was reheated and overcooked. Quite possibly microwaved. I can’t remember what hamburger my friend ordered but it had a fried egg on it that was over cooked.
There’s not a crowd and we are trying to support but the quality has to be better.

It took 25 minutes to get a server. We had 7 pm reservations and were seated on time. I had to get up and ask if a server was going to help us after waiting over 20 minutes. When the server arrived, she was nice. The chicken dish was bland but cooked very well. The mashed potatoes were good. The coleslaw was extremely dry. My friend ordered a steak which he said wasn’t good. I knew that since he left more than half and didn’t take it to go. His view on the potatoes and coleslaw was the same as mine. The food came out “warm” but we didn’t send it back. It has been a while since I had been to claim jumper and I hate to say it, it’ll probably be longer before I return. For the price we paid, it felt like a waste of money. There are definitely other restaurants in the same price range that I feel would have been a better choice.

The 7 Oz steak was not flavorful, they eliminated the dinner salad and now charge $4 extra, and add 3% to your bill. There are much better values out there.

Father’s Day dinner with family members from out of state. I made reservations through Open Table. Had to tell the hostess 3 times that we were there before being seated. The 3rd time we approached her she asked if we had a reservation, as if she’d never seen us before. The food was okay but one stepson said “I’ve had a lot worse.” That’s a measurement that doesn’t sound very compelling. Service was a bit spotty - I don’t fault the server, maybe she was stretched because of the holiday. Used to love the Claim Jumper in Torrance and hoped this one would be as good but unfortunately, it wasn’t.

We were very disappointed in the food during our visit on 06/19/2021. Our son had a meatloaf sandwich that just did not taste good. My wife had a bacon cheeseburger and in addition to the patty being thinner then we remember, the flavor was also off. Also, it was not cooked as she had requested. My widow maker burger was fine as far as the taste goes, but the patty did seem thin. Also, my onion rings came out warm, not hot. I mentioned this to my server and he immediately took them back to the kitchen, dropped them in the oil, and warmed them up. They were ok after that. Service was great, our drinks were kept full and our other requests were quickly met. Also, surprise, a 3% surcharge on the bill. We did not see any mention of that on the reservation page or the menu. Server explained it was due to increases in supply costs due to COVID. Paid it, but don't like surprises, even at just 3%. We decided not to return to Claim Jumper. For a few dollars more we will go across the parking lot to Wood Ranch. Hope at some point they return to their former quality.

We notated that it was an anniversary dinner on the reservations and no one acknowledged that. Plus when we paid the bill they added a 3% surcharge to "cover rising costs." Their corporate office chose to stay closed during the pandemic, not even offering take out on a limited menu. Why should the customers pay for that now? When we asked our server about it, she said there was a sign up front about it. No other comment. Everything was good, however, the customer service was very underwhelming. Missing that touch.
