Claim Jumper - Lombard
Great place for large party. Although prices are a bit high the food is delicious.
Been disappointed in product here before. Not the Claim Jumper of old. There's a reason you can get a reservation for this place at peak dinner time on a Saturday night less than an hour before. Lots of large parties celebrating birthdays, then rare small groups. I haven't seen trays of tequila shots being delivered on trays to tables ever. My wife's baked potato served undercooked and cold. How hard is that to do? I was still tasting my cali tri tip roast the next day. Toughest piece of thin sliced meat ever. Thought we'd give it one more try, not worth it, even at $60 for dinner for 3 without alcohol.
Went for my birthday and they were very accommodating with a large party. Food was excellent - the Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders were great. Everyone went home happy. Our server was great - it was busy and she kept a smile and was cheerful. Helped make the evening even more enjoyable.
Comparing the Lombard location to the Hoffman Estates/South Barrington location, Lombard finishes in a distant second place, put of two. I have to point out this applies to all areas. The only expectation would be the manager who attempted to correct the errors made by giving us10% off our check.
Food was very good. Waitress helpful. Only problem was slow service. Maybe server was working too many tables.
Three of us went for lunch yesterday. We Waited a long time for soup and salads to arrive. We thought the order was lost. When Soup arrived it was not hot. Just Lukewarm. I Ordered fried chicken, received chicken fried steak. Sent it back. My Fried chicken arrived just when my two fellow diners were finished with their lunch. The restaurant was not crowded. There was one table that had about 10 guests near us which might have been the reason for such slow service. Very disappointed and will not be back.
Adrian, our waiter was wonderful!
Service and food were excellent!!! Nakita our server was SUPURB!!! Great Job Claim Jumpers!!!
Nice, inexpensive buffet. $4 mimosa's are a nice treat.
One of our party ordered the tri-tip dinner. The beef was undercooked, hard to cut, and did not taste right.
always enjoy going there. look forward to the next time
Food quality went down from 2018. Salmon overcooked -dry, ribs -dry, almost no meat and not fresh, tasted like heated from last day. Burgers were fine. So $200 for 6 were waisted.
My entree, the grilled cheese sandwich was overcooked. In my opinion it should never have been plated. I will not return or recommend Claim Jumper.
The clam chowder was fantastic as usual! The chicken pot pie was loaded with chicken and tasted great.
The waitress was very attentive. when we arrived no one was at the hostess station. We waited quite awhile. Food was good.
Gave us a free dessert for my aunts birthday!
As we walked into the restaurant the manager at the front desk walked away and left us standing there for several minutes until another person seated us. We then waited several more minutes for a waitress to come. She took our drink order and told us someone else would be taking care of us. When the drinks arrived she asked us if we were ready to order. We ordered an appetizer and our dinners at the same time. After several minutes the waitress brought the salads we ordered THEN SHE BROUGHT US THE APPETIZER. The main course was delivered shortly thereafter while we were still eating our salads.
The chocolate cake was great, thank you Claim Jumpers.
Good service and friendly recommend food good expectation
This was a girls night out dinner. The food is always top notch. The service was friendly and quick. Love the large booths. Plenty of room for us and our handbags. The prices are reasonable. We never have room for dessert but they look amazing.
Food was delicious as always. Our waiter Eric was timely and courteous and was pleasant without being intrusive which we always appreciate!
Had an issue with making a reservation and not being seated but the manager and general manager made everything work out. Food is always great-BEST calamari around!!
Allie was very attentive to our needs as we dined which made for a very enjoyable experience. The food was good and well prepared. Thanks for a nice evening meal.
I love Claim Jumper! It has such a big menu with lots of amazing choices, but I can't get enough of the Cali Chicken Citrus Salad. It's a light salad yet fills you up. It's my go-to dish in the summer. I've also enjoyed the salmon and ribs and many other items over the years. They have the best pomegranate martini . . . and the dessererts are to die for and meant to be shared!
The location in Lombard is pefect when meeting with friends coming from the Southern and Northern suburbs. A group of old school friends meets there often and one of them calls it 'our place!'
I can't recall ever having a bad meal here and will keep coming back for more!
Great pretzels! Didn’t like the tri tips sliders because there was so much fat & grizzle on the meat. Asian salad was very good. Felt a bit rushed by server, however.
Terrible service. Server was rude. We asked where our drinks (second round) were, and she said the bartender was "busy"! Then she tried to charge us full price for happy hour drinks. We had to have the check redone twice. The manager finally corrected our check but tried to blame it on a computer change. We will never return!
We went to this location for what was supposed to be a quick anniversary dinner. Our reservation was at 6 but we weren't seated until 6:30. The hostess was rude and offered no explanation or apology. Our waitress was delightful but unfortunately the time it took to get our food turned our dinner into nearly 2 hours. When we were leaving, the hostess couldn't be bothered to look up and be courteous enough to say goodbye. I'm sure this isn't how things are typically run, but it was our first time there and ruined it for us. We probably won't be going back.
Celebrating family birthdays. Our service and food were great but there seemed to be a water leak in bathroom hallway and bathrooms weren’t being kept up. Leak could have caused a fall if someone didn’t see it.
I would recommend Claim Jumpers but not their Sunday brunch. The food was sitting for quite some time. Not fresh. Expensive too
The waitress seemed new and unfamiliar with things. Almost dropped the food of the guest next to us. Our food was warm not hot and the guest we were hosting had to send their meal back to be made over. Not a good experience at all. Most likely will not return.
Our food was great and our Server Patrick was excellent.
We had an enjoyable dinner here. The server Johnny was friendly and professional. I had the bbq back ribs, which were great. My side dishes were very average by comparison, and the mashed potatoes were good but they were not hot.
We had 14 people for dinner on a Monday night. Our waiter was great but the food, not so much. 2 of the 14 had to send their food back (burger was cold, ribs were burnt), salmon was crispy around the edges (salmon should never be that cooked), but was eaten anyway. Some of us had been here before and have never had a bad meal but we're not sure any of us will be back.
Great food and staff! We enjoyed our dinner and drinks in the bar area.
Our group of 6 female friends was celebrating a birthday. The food was good and the service excellent. Everyone enjoyed the experience. We will definitely come back.
Great food, Great service. Had a very nice time with my family.
Really nice brunch with lots of options at a cost of only $25.00.
Great selection of menu items-burgers, seafood, chicken, pork and beef.
Birthday dinner. Good food and atmosphere. My take home birthday dessert was incredible. So good. Thank you.
