This is the second visit in a row that we had poor service. It went from bad to worse and I am a Landry's member. Our server took a while before taking our drink order and he spent a lot of time talking with a nearby table. I had ordered a side salad in addition to my pot pie. We had been waiting for a while when we needed drink refills. I mentioned to the server that I preferred to have my side salad before the entree. He said he would check on it, bringing it back and saying that it had just come up. He left the table as I took a few bites, when a runner brought the entrees.

Pot pies general need venting, so while eating my side salad, I broke through the crust. We I saw no steam, I put my finger in and the food was just warm, below eating temperature. I waited quite awhile for the server to come into view and again, he spent a lot of time at the same nearby table. Since he had gathered their dishes, we actually had to get his attention before walking away. I literally ate my entree as my date had finished theirs by the time mine came.

Very Very disappointed. Took my desert home.

We had to wait to be seated as the person behind the counter was on the phone and did not even acknowledge us. Finally someone else came out and sat us immediately. Our server was not very attentive. I forgot I had also wanted a salad. Had our server asked if I wanted to add a soup or salad or had he returned to check on us before our food had come out by a food runner, I would have ordered one. The server when he did stop by our table, to ask how the food was, it was very quick, that I had to stop him from leaving as he was hurrying by, to ask him for a drink refill.

I asked him about the bread that I was to have the received with an
Open table reservation and was told that they weren't doing any right now due to Covid, though it is on their website.

We waited long time for the server to return, that I decided to get the desert to go, though I did ask him for another drink refill.

Very disappointed in our service this evening, as it was our first time back since inside dining reopened due to Covid. The restaurant was very cold inside even for my date. They are also adding a 3% surcharge due to the pandemic, which I would understand paying if we received service like the level before closing. The restaurant was not that busy being a Sunday evening after the dinner rush and a foot ball game on. Perhaps our server was in the bar area watching it.

We went to celebrate my granddaughters 6th bday and wasn’t sure how it would be due to coronavirus, but they kept everyone at safe distance and it was very pleasant to have our meal. The hostess was excellent, very nice and attentive. This was one of the best experiences at Claim Jumper I’ve had.

CJ definitely has changed a lot since my high school days. I can’t remember enjoying too many trips here, but I’ve definitely had my opinion on wanting to go back changed! The filet was absolutely mouthwatering and the kids Mac and cheese was so cheesy good! Definitely going back again soon!

Due to COVID-19 operations are much different, there was a large tent with seating set up in the parking lot. Despite all of the changes necessary the servers were AMAZING!! Extremely helpful, happy and kind. Food was great and way too much. It was served hot, just as you would expect inside. I have always enjoyed dining al fresco so there was absolutely no problem for me to eat under a tent in the parking lot!

I know with the restaurant just opening up recently due to COVID, that this could have caused some of the issues. The server was very nice and did a good job, though I was disappointed that some items on the menu weren’t available, and then I decided on the Tri-Tip and was disappointment in the dish. The meat was chewy and very salty, and the steamed vegetables were not very pleasant. I ended up leaving half the dish due to this. However, for the appetizers, the onion rings and the fried zucchini were delicious. I’m hoping when the restaurant has been open for more time, things will get back on track since I’ve had good meals there in the past.

We were thrilled to eat at Claim Jumper after weeks of eating at home with take out. You could see the level of care they were taking to keep employees and patrons safe. The menu was pared down from the old menu, but still a great selection. The food was delicious and our server was fantastic. Thank you for being open.

Dinner was good but not excellent. We have had the chicken marsala several times and it was outstanding-this time is was just good. Worst part is that the main course arrived within 3 minutes of the salad---not a good idea and has never happened before. Grade-needs improvement but still good.

Overall nice place to go for special occasions. The server was nice and friendly. Atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. Food was good including free loaf of cheese bread which was served without requesting it. Prices are bit higher side but food quality and atmosphere makes up for it.

We were there for birthday and I see there were few other, at least 3, tables doing the same. We saw server bringing them complementary cake to celebrate but that for some reasons didn’t happen to our table. I am not sure why, may be they ran out of cakes. We ended up buying chocolate cake to celebrate. Not treating my birthday the same as others was but strange to us.

Rest is part of Landry’s system and so you can earn and use points there.

CONS: We had to wait over 40 min for a 6:00 p.m. reservation b/c Open Table continuously booked reservations and system did not take into account availability.

Our reservations were for 6 PM. We were not seated until 645. It took the server a long time , over 30 minutes to come to our table and ask for our drink order. We ended up giving them our drink order and our dinner order at the same time because we were tired of waiting. This restaurant seemed very understaffed. The hostess did not even say hi to us when she took us back to our table. She said our name and party of four and then just walked us to our table. She did not even acknowledge us. No greeting no smile no nothing.

It was a disappointing visit to say the least. The restaurant was not busy and the whole place just looked sad. We were seated prior to a large party showing up but the service we received was sub-par at best. Our table of three had to ask for refills on multiple occasions and the server only provided refills once. I don’t think there were many other servers around because he was handling the large party and a few other tables. The server was not really thrilled to be there and he did not really care to put in any effort other than the bare minimum. I asked for my baked potato dressings to be on the side but when it got to the table everything was slopped on it. The presentation was horrible. No attention was paid to the plating. We ended up asking for more fries for one of our burger orders because what was delivered looked like half of the fries were already eaten. The food runner was the one that helped us the most. She was nice and was capable.
It seemed like the restaurant was dying a slow death with a lack of customers. Unfortunately with the food and service being as sub-par as they were, it is not a surprise. It was not the Claim Jumper we remembered...

Produce bar is great, as usual. Vegetarians or folks who simply didn't want a big meal were happy. Ordered meals looked OK. Amount of time for server to initially come over, then to bring food and then to bring checks each seemed a little long. However, (at the beginning), the 8 of us told the server that we wanted separate checks, which I always thought was a no-no. The server said no problem, and got the checks and payment done accurately

There was no one in the restaurant and they sat us next to t table with 3 wild kids. Food was bad. Service was slow. I ordered a wine that never came and they got my husband’s order wrong. Worst experience ever. This place was good years ago and it’s no onset people stopped going. Food was not good and overpriced. Never going back.

We might have caught CJ on an off day? First experience in many visits that the service wasn't good. It took a very long time to be served our soup/salad and another long wait for our entrees. Not sure what was the problem that day?? The server was very polite and provided birthday dessert, though.

I felt $25 per person for the type of food was a bit high. It was very good quality food but not great value. I like a thanksgiving dinner but I would have preferred being able to order one of your regular lunch menu items. I am a fan of Claimjumper and I will be back when I can order off the regular menu.
This was my first time going to Claimjumper for Thanksgiving and I will probably pass in the future.
