Food was small portioned and serviced was slow . Didn’t even get a refill on water
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food and service were great. We're sorry to hear that you are leaving the Landry's family.
Nice place to go for dinner. Good food and great service.
We have always gone here and had great food. That night was just a bad night, nothing that came out of that kitchen was great. Are waitress was awesome and the manager came up and talked to us and wanted to know if we want to replace it but we just said no thank you and kept it. The manager tried to offers a free dessert but we declined.
Food is not the same. Meatloaf and sautéed vegetables are salty, spinach dip had no flavor and was a grainy texture. Peeled shrimp would be a better option for guests.
Our server was just amazing; attentively, friendly and not afraid of us not wearing our masks while talking with her while she was serving us!
Steak wasn’t cool how I asked they took it back still wasn’t cool how I asked
Claim Jumper has lost its luster.
Food sucked. From portions to quality,
I won't be going back.
We are from Tempe and we had to drive all the way over to 99th Avenue to eat at Claim Jumper. What happened to the Claim Jumper in Tempe? Will it not reopen.
Food was great as usual.

Food and service was great, but it was so hot in there!
The perfect place for a casual meal. They have a little bit of everything on the menu. Our server was exceptional, accommodating, friendly and attentive.
Friendly staff considering the situation we are all in. Very good Southern Fried Chicken and my wife really enjoyed her Clam Chowder and Mozzarella Sticks. We look forward to going back.
Great food with super service. Portions were a little small for the price but food was good.
the food was delicious except for my fish. my fish seemed a little dry.
the steaks were very delicious though!
thank you!
Was not busy when we were there so it was pleasantly quiet and the service was outstanding. The food was delicious. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back
Our server was lovely and on top of it. Brought us refills without having to ask, very kind and polite.
The service was less than stellar, a brand new server so we could have overlooked that. However the food was terrible and definitely not what we would have expected from Claim Jumper. This used to be one of our favorite places but we will certainly think twice before returning.
Our server was extremely pleasant and helpful! I enjoyed our lunch experience and plan on returning again. Food was delicious
Our server, Dicky, was not very nice and the service was super slow. It was a slow night too. The food was mediocre at best. I have been to this restaurant a few time in the past but I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.
We had a disappointing experience. I don’t know if it is true, but they ran out Cesar salad, tri tip, pork belly, wedge salad and lemonade. We were told that they were out 30mins after we place our order. The meat was well done when we ordered for medium rare. The worst is we were billed for the dishes that we were told they are out of. The manager came to our table and was arrogant, just to tell us that they don’t have some of the foods we ordered and if we want a substitute, no apologies. How rude! I’m done with this place.
portions are large, quiet restaurant, as not many people were present. Sever needs to be chopped on the varieties of wine, as she presented our guest with the wrong type twice.
Seemed like it was an off day for the staff. The server was apologizing a lot to her tables for problems. The kitchen ignored the ticket for my food and gave me whatever they wanted instead of the things I ordered. It could have been better.
Took my mom to lunch for Valentine’s Day, the place was quiet and the service was great!
Service and food was great! We were a large group and a little loud and rowdy, but we had a great experience for our business dinner.
Come for the gluten free menu, leave wondering why the crazies at the table tried to finish the 7 layer chocolate cake in 1 sitting!
It was our anniversary! So it was a special night and we had a reservation but they really pushed for us to sit at the bar for happy hour, I was like eh okay I like discounts. I got the salmon oscar. In all honesty the salmon was delicious but the crab on top was so gross and fishy. I also got a pomegranate mojito and it was like they used a syrupy type of sweetener and it made it taste like cough medicine. My Caesar salad was sour as well. Other than that i did love the calamari, mozzarella sticks, creamed corn, and of course my salmon. It is a beautiful restaurant I just wish some things were a bit better. Our server was really sweet as well, I wish I remembered her name.
Great server! Very helpful with great suggestions!
Great happy hour specials in the bar
Had better experience on prior visits, service was great, however, the food was cold...all in all, I appreciate the people working on New Year’s Eve.
The zucchini starter was terrific, the fries were hot and good but the sandwich had one slice of meat, no discernible taste, and the bread was too soggy to eat. A Jewish Deli it is not - so it was a learning experience.
Service was perfect! BBQ/Pork belly burger was good but not great. A bit salty and we ended up removing the pork.
Friends fish tacos were outstanding and the complimentary rolls were great.
t's like they've just given up at this location!
We have been to this location many times and truth is, almost every time the service is lack-luster. Service is always friendly, however, speed is not a company priority. Last nights meal was no exception. From the time you sit down to the time your drinks arrive is always about 20+ minutes. Your best bet at Claim Jumper is to order all your rounds at once! Once food arrived, yeah, that took some time too, of the four guests at out table, all of our plates had some items that were cold. One guests order arrived and it was completely the wrong item so she waited for the correct item while we ate our (mildly warm) entrees. We asked for a second loaf of bread about three times, that never did arrive. The final round of drinks we ordered were taking ever longer than the normal long time) and we were told, "they were cleaning more glasses." Ummm, is this a real restaurant.....After the wrong menu item arrived the manager came over to our table (we didn't request this but it was nice that he showed concern and came over.) We requested nothing but he ended up giving one persons entree for Free (arrived cold and took three times to get it right..) And a Free dessert of our choice to share.
I then went to the men's restroom and this was the final straw for me. One urinal was out of order (fine, no worries) but the water wasn't working to wash your hands in any of the three sinks and the entire time i walked on the floor it was all STICKY...all of it!!!! F'ing gross
When the bills arrived there was an item on the bill we never ordered so that needed to be fixed. Just more lack of attention to the Basics.
Claim Jumper, in my experiences coming to your Avondale location, you were never Great, you were just Good. I think you always got a pass from me as the interior decor/ambiance....of this location helps deflect the pain of slow service etc. Last night changed everything for me and the others at the table. I won't be back to
Appetizer platters were really good & would be good for about 4 adults. Everyone ordered different items from the menu & we were all very pleased with taste & portions. Girls Night Out cocktails were fabulous if vodka is your thing. We would definitely go back.
The food was amazing. Left in a good coma. Along with my whole family.
It was just OK. Overpriced for the fast food kind of atmosphere. Menus were dirty and stuck together. Food tastes good but overpriced and atmosphere was more like a sports bar.
The Servers were extremely busy. It took an hour to get our salads and the entrees came out a few
minutes into the salads.. Drinks took extended time. The Desert was another 30 minute wait. I think more help in the kitchen and with the tables / bar would be helped. Overall it was very nice. You have to be extremely patient on Holiday's and Busy Seasons. We gave our server a generous tip. They all worked very hard to accommodate our needs.
This was the worst meal ever. We went for the Thanksgiving meal (11/28/19) and it was not good. Service was not terrible, but close. Let’s start at the beginning, we were served bread, dry no butter. The meal, 2 in our party ordered the turkey, the turkey and stuffing were both dry and there was very little gravy on anything, we had to request gravy. One ordered the tri tip (med rare), it came to the table well done, hard to cut and even more difficult to chew. One ordered the prime rib, that was actually good, tender and with a nice flavor. The mashed potatoes on all plates were dry and grainy as though there was no butter or cream added at all. The vegetables we were served either over cooked or raw, the carrots were almost raw and the zucchini and squash were almost mush. Lastly the pie, 3 ordered apple, taste wasn’t bad but it would be impossible to serve a smaller slice and still call it desert, one ordered the pumpkin, we all tasted it and all struggled to find a pumpkin flavor.... not sure what it was.
Horrible service. Took 20 minutes to seat us although place was empty and we had reservations. Food didn’t come out at the same tine. One dish had to be returned twice because steak wasn’t cooked as asked. The final time they got it right the shrimp and potato that came with the dish were cold even though they took the entire plate back. Seems as though they just re-cooked the steak and didn’t bother keeping everything else warm.
Slow service. Cold food. hardly anyone eating I won't be revisiting this place again
