As one of the CranberryCo clan, the Clachan Grill prides itself on serving only the finest locally and sustainably sourced produce.

With our scenic River Dee backdrop, we're ideally located for locals and visitors alike. Cosy and welcoming, we promise to serve our delicious, Scottish fare with a side of Northern hospitality.

Head Chef Bartek Bukowski has carefully designed the Clachan Grill's menu to reflect the diverse ingredients Scotland has on offer, drawing inspiration from Scottish classics, while elevating them to the level of a modern Grill.

    The Clachan Grill was exactly what we had hoped for. Lovely food and atmosphere - a very enjoyable end to our afternoon visiting nearby Balmoral. Local produce beautifully cooked and well presented.

    Haggis bonbons were excellent and the sauce was great. The braised ox cheek was cooked to perfection and very rich. Superb food on a sunny day in Ballater. What's not to like!

    Beautiful, romantic cottage restaurant. Excellent choices and top quality food. Staff was helpful and attentive. Reservation is the best guarantee of seating.

    We had an amazing time at this grill during our visit to Ballater. The salmon appetizer was delightful and the fillet and sirloins were perfect. We topped the meal off with Sticky Toffee Pudding. Thanks for the great meal

    Absolutely outstanding, excellent service, the fillet steak was cooked to perfection, terrific wine to accompany the meal, can’t fault it ~ and it’s good every time we visit, and that sort of consistency is rare indeed.

    We had fantastic meal with wonderful service. The menu is not vast but we had no problem making our choices. We'll be back!!
