Food was good worth the value
Food was very good. Definitely will be back
My order was made wrong. It was my first visit, so I wasn’t sure if I had as mistaking. When I got home and checked the menu, my meal was in fact missing the red sauce. How do you forget to put red sauce on the food at an Italian restaurant. My meal was so soupy because of that.
New Years eve dinner was fantastic!
Wonderful staff and phenomenal food. Well balanced wine selection and delicious craft cocktails available. The house made limoncello was excellent.
Excellent food, excellent service. A little noisy but it was a very busy night, New Year’s Eve. Food was very fresh, especially the fantastic tomato sauce, food was perfect temperature. Our waiter was knowledgeable of wine pairings and details about entrees. We will definitely be back!!
I noticed people in my party were not eating their entree’s. They said “There’s a lot going on in this dish” . Apparently not in a good way. There is no complimentary bread service, no reasonably priced dinner salad and no entree below $16. Overall not a great value for food they didn’t like. Won’t be returning.
The food and our waitress was amazing!!!!
My wife went there for dinner. The food was really good. We had the Shrimp Scampi and the Scallops and Risotto. Both were done well. The Scampi had a bit too much Lemon for my taste but my wife loved it. It was light but filling. The portions were perfect where you felt fed but not over fed. We added a Cesare Salad and a House Romaine salad for appetizer and both were sizable. This was our second time there and will probably add it to our regular list of restaurants for meals.
We enjoyed our time at Civetta and would certainly return. The food was really good, the service was good and the price was not bad for what you received. The kitchen had some trouble keeping up with our bread requests but that was our only issue.
A number of restaurants have struggled in that location and I certainly hope that Civetta makes it there.
Tables too close to each other. Appetizer came out in 5 min after ordered and cold Calamari. We were in and out in 35 min. TERRIBLE ! Will not go back
The food was great, but boy did we feel rushed. We never had bread brought to the table and received our bill without ever being asked about dessert or coffee.
We've dined here several times and enjoyed each time. Food was great. Dined on Christmas Eve and though they were extremely busy, the food was excellentand service very good.
Food was well prepared and tasted great, especially the pappardelli bolognese and mussels. The menu is limited and daily specials would allow us to try different dishes. Our server was apparently new and couldn't describe the fish of the day. Cocktails prep and delivery were slow even though the bar was empty. Weren't able to orer wine until the entree was delivered and we were just about done when delivered. Overall the food was good and I would recommend it to try.
Sam provided outstanding service! The Bolognese, chicken Marsala and tiramisu was superb. We will be back!
Very well run restaurant with wonderful food at good prices.
We sat at the bar, due to last minute delay in our plans we were short on time to make a movie. We made sure we told the bartender we were in a bit of a rush. She went above and beyond to make sure we were done in time for our movie. The food was absolutely delicious and service was friendly and knowledgeable. This was our second time dining here.
Food is really good and the service was excellent. The owner or GM twice checked in with us to be certain all was well. Server was also very attentive.
We came here to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday. The waiter even asked if it was a special occasion and we made sure he knew it was her birthday. We figured they would surprise her with a dessert or something as most places do, but they did nothing. All he did was say Happy Birthday to her as he handed us the bill. :(
The food was awesome! I went in without having high expectations because of some negative reviews but my husband and I were so
impressed with how great everything was. I had the special which was trout with gnocchi that came with it. The gnocchi was made from scratch and you could tell. They were light, fluffy and very flavorful. I asked for a side of pasta sauce for my gnocchi and WOW was it good!!! The fish was so fresh and the best trout I’ve ever had. My husband had the chicken parmesan. He said it was really good. The bread that was served was also amazing. I’m from upstate NY so I know good Italian food. It’s hard to find these days and I’m often disappointed. I’m very picky when it comes to food. If I write a review it’s because the food and restaurant deserved to be praised. The manager checked on us a few times which we really appreciated because it shows he cares about customers experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very nice. We are going back this week with friends. Trust me you want to try this restaurant!!!!
Get pasta with Bolognese
Our first time there!
Great to have a good Italian restaurant in Ballantyne. Quality food and service.
Cauliflower wasn’t great but everything else was good. Server was attentive.
We were sat immediately at a "high top" in the bar as requested. The Manager Ricky came and poured our wine and greeted us. The service was spot on, the food was delicious and our server was great. Civetta has a great environment and I have to say, the Manager has his eyes all over the restaurant and had amazing control of it all.
The Brussels sprouts app was excellent and big enough for four. I had the Bolognese with house-made pappardelle and my friend had the chicken parm with spaghetti. We both liked our dishes a lot.
Our main waiter was too good to attend to our table. He attended all his other tables but let ours to his poor trainee. He was so condescending that he basically threw the desert menu at us. It was bad beyond reason! We are never going back!
Overall solid - food is all high quality and prices reasonable . Service ok, a bit slow but could be just be growing pains.
This was our second time and the food is excellent. Managers and staff take good care of you.
Nice wine. Yummy food. Good service
My husband & I have been here 3 times. We brought friends tonite. They loved it. We all had the Chicken Marsala. It was so tender you did not need a knife to cut it. We especially loved the polenta. Portions were very adequate and priced commensurate with other non-franchised Italian restaurants. Our server was Daniella. She was perky and very attentive but not overbearing. The ambiance was very pleasant. It's so nice to be in a place where you can talk without yelling and hear the person you're across from. We have a new favorite Italian restaurant to visit and so do our friends.
Nice meal with family when Mom came into town. Great portions, good food, good service. We will be back
When making this reservation they asked if were for a special occasion. I told them it was an anniversary.. the food was great, the service, too. But no mention of our special celebration. We order shot glass deserts. No comps. Happy 35 to us.
My wife and I went to Civetta to celebrate our anniversary. The food was great, and the waitress did not rush us. We were there to enjoy ourselves and we did. Every time we go here, we have a good time and great food.
Another fantastic meal and experience at Civetta. The food is creative and very very good. Get the Brussel Sprouts. Period. The service is outstanding! Makes you feel like you are the only table. Great job.
We sat at the bar to wait for our table and there was not one person that greeted us or asked us for our order. We waited for at least 15 minutes and we sat without drinks. Once we got to our table the waiter informed us that they were short handed so we waited quite a bit to give our order and get our food. The food was delicious once we got it. Hopefully if we go again there will be better service.
The food was spectacular. The waiter was very nice but had way too many tables. It was tough flagging someone down when we needed drinks. Had empty water glasses that sat there for 10 min before we could get someone’s attention. They should just leave the water bottle on the table then they would be a perfect 5.
