Food is good. Ambience is excellent. Will visit again
Server Gail was awesome despite being very busy
Food was great We had pretzel bites, burger and salmon
So sad that there is still no filet sliders
Great meal and excellent cosmos from the bar! Comfortable seating, nice staff!
This was our first time at City Works, and we will certainly be returning. There were many too many tempting options, but we enjoyed our meal very much. Even though it was lunch we split a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and chocolate sauce, and asked for it to be undercooked. It was the best dessert I've had all year, I'll be ordering it every time I come.
We appreciated the booth seating, relative isolation made us feel safe.
The waitperson and her shadow were lovely, and especially getting us that luscious cookie to order.
The food is not great. Definitely a spot better suited for beer the second time my SO’s was undercooked. That said, the drinks were great (even though the drink service was slow due to low staffing).
Great night overall! We had the Queso dip as an appetizer, and then the fried chicken sandwich and the City Works burger. Everything was delicious! I has the Rosè on tap and it was so good! Amazing service!
Really Good food for the price. Kids had a good time too.
Good Food, excellently prepared and served. Great follow up from waitstaff.
The service and the food was way better when they first open. Now it’s just crap all around.
Great beer selection and food menu. Classier then most beer venues. Love the booths and all tables well spaced.
If you're looking for a good sports bar in Watertown/Allston/ Brighton, good food and wide choice of beers, this is the place. Plenty of tv's, large beer hall but also outside seating, and semicircular booths facing tv wall.
Ribs, fish tacos, burgers and spicy baked beans all very good. Take a pass on the brussels sprouts (undercooked, should be grilled instead). Had the Cloud Candy IPA - excellent.
Excellent brunch options. Got there too early on Sunday for alcoholic beverages to be available (but the options looked awesome). Looked like great selection of beers on draft. Hope they do well; will be looking to come back
Creative, but limited entree menu, portions were small but the energy/vibe was great for group we had
Good food and service. I little noisy with a lot of big screen TV distractions.
Great dinner with friends Love how open it is as well as the many TVs The beer selection is amazing and the on tap wine is great
mixed our drinks and the hamburger wasn't that good.
you can smell the kitchen even though we are far away.
asked for high seats and got standard seat.
The first time we dined here, the restaurant had just opened. It was great and we were excited to return. We dined here the other night and I found that the menu seemed to have less choices. Our waitress was great, but the restaurant did not seem as clean, especially the ladies room. I was disappointed and probably won’t be returning.
Great place. Nice selection of beer. Will definitely return.
Great place for outside dining. Nice big indoors as well, ceilings are super high and very open so inside would be OK too. Good beer selection, many local craft beers. Food was nice, and it was pretty quiet and made for a very nice evening with a pretty private conversation.
For a newly open location maybe had high hopes. The service was great Deven was nice and friendly and couldn't have been better as a waitress.
All the issues we had were with the food, the bowl of chili tasted burnt like it was stilling for a while at the bottom of the pot before it was warmed up and served. The butger which was ordered for medium came out medium rare to rare and cold.
The buffalo shrimp entree of which came with four shrimp and came out cold so for $4 per shrimp my feeling should come out of the kitchen hot to warm not like they were sitting in the kitchen for 20 minutes. The alcohol drinks were watered down and what makes it seem more watered down is they are served in 10 oz glasses.
Seems like City Works is basing all their success on the beer menu and not focusing on all aspects of the quality coming from the kitchen.
Empty inside, which was kind of nice. Food and service fine. Nothing special. Just didn’t have much energy, though not much happening on a Monday evening.
The quality of City Works food has deteriorated rapidly in the last two months. Our party of 3 were all disappointed with our meals: Fries were cold, Tex-Mex Mac and Cheese was missing several ingredients, corn salad was mushy and tasteless. Our server was very pleasant and attentive.
Given this is our second visit with mediocre food, we won't like be back. Too bad as the place was great when it first opened.
Great tasty food. Outstanding beer selections. Good service.
Food is marvelous and creatively presented. The servers are outstanding!
Our server was the best! Food and price are a match! Good value for good food!
Fun atmosphere and great selection of beer. Menu is basic but burgers and mac/cheese selections were great.
Went for brunch. The food was bland and the donuts were raw on the inside. Our server left us for a good 30 mins while we were done eating and the plates were stacked on the table.
Delicious. Great location and yummy eats. I'd go back
It’s a great place to go eat on a nice summer day with the family or friends. I am going to make plans on going again before the end of the summer.
Excellent weekend brunch spot! Great service and delicious options.
Great location for casual food and drinks with large selection and midwest flair
Once again a delicious meal here with excellent service. Second time a in a row though with small issues (frozen bun served on plate, crusted food left on supposedly clean fork at place setting) but both handled quickly, quietly with adjustment to bill made without our request. Tribute to staff and management standing behind this restaurant! Also, despite being almost full, quiet enough inside to talk across the table.
Came here for Dads 65th birthday lunch. It was sort of windy so we sat next to one of the big open windows and it was just as good as sitting outside. Ponti was our server and he was the best! Mom has a butter allergy and he was so helpful with making sure she got what she needed. The salmon and fish and chips were great! Thanks so much.
Great local place to meet for drinks and bar food. Small selection but very good. Noisy when It got busy. Lots of TV's to watch games. Fun atmosphere . Will go back again.
Outdoor ambiance was great! Loved the tables with flowers and small trees providing some privacy from people passing by.
popped in for brunch/lunch on the weekend and enjoyed watching some of the Olympics coverage while we enjoyed frittatas and tacos. The food was good and the $10 coupon did not hurt, either. One of us was really hungry and one of us was not very hungry and we both left happy.
We ordered the same fish tacos and BBQ chicken salad we had the last time we were here...looked forward to the same great tastes. However....sigh...the taco shells were cold, the fried onion rings were stone cold with congealed grease on them. That said, the manager took care of replacements and adjusted the bill right away--wonderfully quick service. The waiter was good throughout--clearly some issue in the kitchen.
As we finished, we noticed that although at that point the place was almost full, we could still talk in a normal volume across the table--a rare ability nowadays !!
Good food but limited menu. Very few vegetarian/vegan options and small portions for the Salmon, which was the most expensive entree.
Great restaurant for brunch! Service was a little slow for 11 AM on a Saturday but we didn't mind. Food was great. I wish there were sweet brunch items more along the lines of waffles, French toast, and other dishes but I have no complaints about the Love Me Two Times dish I choose. Noise level and crowding was low even when we left almost two hours later. I think most people chose to eat outside on the patio. One of the employees, a manager I think, checked on our group a few times and had a great conversation with one friend about UK soccer teams and later with another friend whose soccer enthusiast group was looking for a new bar to watch games at.
As always, excellent food and service.
