City Works - Tysons Corner
Food was good, trivia was fun. Service was slow but friendly. I'd go again.
Servers were pleasant and there were many tables full of people watching NFL games on Sunday afternoon. However the food was universally disappointing. Kids pizza was inedible, kids burger sliders way too over cooked (even for a kid!), my king pao cauliflower was drowning in a gross broth, and my wife’s veggie burger was awful. Haven’t had this bad of a meal in a very long time. Oh and it took over 30 mins for our food to come out.

Large beer selection, great food, and attentive service all while watching sports on a big wall of TVs. I'm glad this opened near us.
Hi there, thank you for your feedback! We look forward to seeing you again soon! :) - Staley
I love the staff. They always treats us so well. Great beer selection! The food is typical bar food with a slight elevation. I always make a reservation as we usually have a good size group meeting up. It’s a go to place for me!
Hi Christine, I'm glad you had a nice time at City Works! Come back again soon! - Staley
I have had dinner (on different nights) several times at City Works. The few staff they have are very pleasant, and were working hard, unfortunately, it seems that they are constantly understaffed. There were only two people waiting on tables on a Saturday night. The food is q
We went for Saturday brunch and the place was empty. There was one wait staff handling all the tables. Everything took a long time, ordering, getting food, paying. And I'm not one to rush a meal. The food was just ok. My husband had the short rib hash. Nice but salty. I had the avocado toast. It was mostly bread and toppings, very little avocado. The beignets can be skipped, they were hard and tasteless.
City works is a chic and classy sport bar. The ambience and decor are beautiful but the service and food were just okay. The waiter forgot that we ordered appetizers and we had to asked for it after our main dish arrived. They only have two desserts but I had the peanut butter something and it was amazing. Total experience was pretty cool and I will definitely return again.
Great venue with extensive beer menu and sports viewing options. Family friendly and not too crowded on weekends - yet!
Hi there, I'm glad you had a great time at City Works! Come back again soon! - Staley
Meh - service was blah, food was just food. It’s a sports bar and it has ‘upscale’ bar food. If you are looking for this then go, otherwise skip.

We really liked our waiter, Curt. Great personality and very service oriented. The food was delicious!!! Dessert was yummy!!! We will be back😃
Hi there, I'll pass your compliments on to Curt! I'm happy to hear you had a nice time at City Works, and we look forward to seeing you again soon! - Staley
Looked at the menu before going and it seemed like kind of upscale bar food, which is exactly what it was. The popcorn chicken, cheese curds, and filet sliders were esp good. Extensive beer and cider menu. I’m sure capital one will keep this place busy during the week, but it’s worth a trip for happy hour or dinner.

Missing Identity ... Sports Bar with no happy hour? Great selection of beers but random TVs and high prices!
Hi there, I'm sorry you had a frustrating time at City Works. Thank you for your feedback. - Staley
So I think
Overall it was a good experience. I will definitely return. I didn’t have dinner but was able to try the buffalo chicken dip and the Mac and cheese... which should be called butter noddles because it barely had any cheese. Very disappointed.
Booked a table, parked, got there and the restaurant was closed with signs on the door saying it was closed for maintenance??!! How can OpenTable allow reservations AND the restaurant website did not say anything about being closed.
Hi there, I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience at City Works. Unfortunately, we unexpectedly had to close due to some electrical issues we were having which caused many of our critical appliances to not work. All guests with OpenTable reservations were contacted via phone and left messages if they did not answer. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. We appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback! - Staley
Much improved! I came here about two months ago and had a terrible experience (slow service, poor food, etc.) but came back on a whim and had a much better experience this time! The service was fast and attentive and the food that came out was delicious. Certainly glad I gave them a second chance.
Hi Evan, I'm so happy to hear you gave us another shot and had a nice time at City Works. We really appreciate you visiting us, and hope you'll be back again soon! :) - Staley
Great food at a reasonable price. Fun atmosphere and easy parking.

The “hot” chicken was super spicy (cldn’t eat it), but everything else was good (beer selection, fish tacos, duck nachos).
Food and drink were excellent. But on this particular day there were issues with the service where our orders were not entered properly and we had to wait for the correct meal. The restaurant seemed understaffed. The server and the manager did everything in their power and beyond to rectify what happened. As such, we would return without hesitation.
Food was good. Only 2 dessert options and we chose the wrong one. Service was marginal.
Extensive beer selection. Food was fine. I wouldn't suggest going there but if others wanted to go I would participate.
dined here several times now and most of the food is without much taste, or overly salty.
it is good for Capital One employees in the building that want to wait around for traffic to die down and have no other choice. Pretty quiet on saturdays and sundays.

This place has an identity problem. The dozens of big screens and loud music say “sports bar.” The extensive beer list says “craft beer pub.” The $24 grouper entree and pricey wine pours say “upscale dining.” It needs to choose an identity and focus (and train waitstaff to refill water glasses promptly). Tysons continues to struggle with providing solid dining options for workers and residents alike and the addition of this restaurant does little to improve that.
Chicken tacos spicy. One person ordered and had to return. Food did not come out fast. Drinks Good and big selection of beers.
We had a lovely time celebrating my daughter’s birthday. The food was delicious and the place is great. Place is a little loud but the place is fin and food was great!!
Hi there, we're so glad you chose us to celebrate your daughter's special day! Thanks for dining with us—we hope to see you again soon! :) - Staley
Always a good time with beer and food
Hi Aravind, I'm glad you had a nice time at City Works! We look forward to seeing you again soon! - Staley
The food was not as well prepared as thought it would be with such limited menu. I would recommend it for drinks and/or HH not food.
Very attentive service and all items were made exactly to order! Will definitely come back again!

Recently opened and needs some maturing. Loudest restaurant experience we have ever had. It was 6:30 PM. If you are noise sensitive, be aware. Food tasted good. Kitchen error provided a rare burger when I asked for and the server correctly input a medium level of cooking. Delay in recognizing the error until the end of the meal motivated the manager to remove the burger from the bill. Lot's of beers to choose from and that part is neat. My wife's win pour seems really small. Manager provided complimentary deserts which was very nice. We will go back and anticipate this was just growing pains.
Great new place! Drinks were delicious, great menu, fast service and fun atmosphere. We’ll be coming back here again :)
I liked all the menu I had because they are not salty
And seat, booth was comfortable and spacious.
I love the verity of selections of beers.
Duck Nachos were excellent. Short rib hash was very tasty. Cookie dough dessert was perfect

Loved the big screen televisions to watch sports and 90 different beers on tap! The service was great and the food was good. We’ll definitely return soon!

My only issue was they turned the soccer game on so loud that those of us there having a business lunch had to yell to be heard. I asked them to turn it down a bit but the manager ignored the request. Given this is on a business campus, I thought it was a bit inappropriate. Maybe more suited for HH level noise but not lunch. Know your customers. ;-)
That being said, the food and service were very good. I appreciated the waitresses suggestions and she was spot on. I'll be back.
Attractive atmosphere, wait staff really hustled. The food was very good and the beer selection amazing! My only complaint was how loud it was. The problem was mostly from the music which was way too loud. I look forward to when the outdoor seating is available.
Recommend the buffalo chicken dip appetizer.
Seared tuna salad bad choice. Tuna cold, right out of the fridge, no sesame crust, buffalo wing seasoning on the tuna I think??
Short pours on the beer. You don't know how many ounces you are going to get because they have this "the right glass for the beer" thing.
I made the reservation on Open table. When we got there to check in, the host said no table available for us because it’s Happy Hours time therefore all the tables were taken. Seriously?!? So we asked to speak to a manager, the manager came and walked us upstairs and gave us a corner table upstairs bar area... umm.. I said to him it’s my girlfriend’s bday today so could we have a table that’s not so hidden in the dark please. He apologized and sent us back downstairs. The table wasn’t ready so we waited for them to clean up. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was good. We loved the pretzel bites, duck nachos, the cauliflower steak was also good.
The restaurant is modern looking.
I would go back but I hope they will have a Happy Hours menu soon.
Mac and cheese appetizer was great. My friend found her burger too greasy. The fish and chips were ok. She enjoyed her flight of ciders and I liked the option of a half portion beer as I’m not a huge drinker but like to try things. Great selection of beers. Looking forward to the opening of the outside bar.
Service was a little slow and the noise level was too loud to converse easily. I know it’s trendy in restaurants nowadays but I prefer quieter spaces.
We would go back to try other food.
The service , and , even the ambiance at City Works were excellent. However , the noise level , especially at or near 'Happy Hour' is almost a turn-off. I could not engage in a civil conversation with my Wife because the noise was too , too loud !
Fun place to enjoy an after work dinner and drinks. Great selection of food choices on the menu. Look forward to outdoor dinning the next time I visit if the weather permits. It would be a great spot for local musicians to play if the management sees it in their future plans.
