   We were sat right away, but did not get service for 25-30 minutes until someone finally asked us for our order. No one checked in throughout the meal and then someone different asked us for payment.

   BBQ sauces are absolutely disgusting (spicy and classic). Beer cheese soup was very good. Ribs were good. Hot links were nothing special. Service not great. Drinks sat empty for a long time. Likely would not return as there are many many more options in Schaumburg.

   I am not sure what the issue is with seating people but every time I have gone to this restaurant there is a problem getting seated when there are several open tables and staff to wait on them. I understand that there could be open tables due to short staffing but that has not been the case. Once seated things go well.

   Food was good, burger came out very overdone (ordered rare, got well done), but server was quick to take it back to the kitchen and someone (not sure if it was the manager or chef) came out to apologize (which certainly wasn’t necessary) and brought the side of fries to work on while the new burger was being cooked. Food was good overall, if a bit on the more expensive side, but we knew that going in.

    We had a great time but it took a very long time for our food, tables that came after us were getting their food so we asked our server if something happened. He came back and said something happened with the ticket and that the manager was taking care of it. The manager brought our finally brought our food and said that the ticket had been lost and they had to remake all of our food because it was sitting too long. They apologized but never said anything after that. It might have been nice to offer a dessert or take something off the bill but nothing was said after that.

    It was nice. I love the shrimp. I did not really care for the bacon Mac and cheese. Our service was great and so was the overall experience.

    Food was subpar - no flavor at all and the service was terrible. Our waitress forgot our drinks multiple times and after dropping one on the ground never came back with a new one. I had to go up to the bar to get another drink. Most likely will not be dining here again for a while.

    The night was dead but our waitress was no where to be found, had to constantly keep looking for her to order, ask for utensils, ask for the check. Super short and snippy with us - I get it if you’re having a bad day but don’t take it out on us when you have 3 tables you’re serving. Bathrooms were dirty and disgusting for both men’s and females. Even individuals coming in to pick up food were waiting for long periods because all the employees were huddled and talking in the back corner. Made a birthday request in my reservation….wasn’t even accommodated. We love the food and drinks but staff ruined our experience so we probably won’t be returning.

    The food was very good. I had the ahi tuna salad and was pleases with the freshness and well prepared. We jad a large table and our waitress was outstanding. Highly recommend.

    We met 2 friends for lunch. The 4 of us had a pleasant time. I ordered the grilled chicken. Unfortunately, it was very dry. My husband ordered the pulled pork and he really enjoyed his meal.

    Had a date there I put in a request for a certain booth I wanted and the lady’s at the front made sure it happened even though it was a little busy. We waited a bit for the table at the bar but not long at all. I think they wanted to fulfill my request. Definitely made my experience 10/10 I’ve been here a few times always have had a great experience thank you! Service and vibe is great here😌

    Huge fan of City Works. The one bartender (I can’t remember his name but he coaches his kids baseball/softball teams). He’s GREAT. We came in Saturday for brunch and waited almost 10 min for the bartender to acknowledge us. She was so engaged in a conversation, that she couldn’t bother to help us. That’s fine. Lucky for her the other bartender showed up and he was great! Checked on us periodically, top notch. We were really upset when the girl that ignored us, only came to talk to us to get us to cash out because the night bar team was on. So we checked with the bartender that helped us, to see if they split tips and they did. We were trying to give him cash on the sly but his integrity kicked in and he said he’d still split it. So we reluctantly cashed out. But the girl was on top of us every couple of minutes to see if we had signed our receipts. Very disappointed that she felt she was deserving of any money that we left after she ignored us. Also, disappointed that it took 15-20 min to get a side of toast - but that was the least of my problems. Just wanted to comment on the stellar service from the male bartender that work the morning of 4/15 and the lack of service from his partner.

    We enjoyed our Easter Brunch with family at City Works. Our waiter was very attentive and good. The food was delicious. The only negative that I noticed was that we wanted a 2 pm reservation and the app would only take a 2:30 reservation. We emailed a request for a 2pm but the answer back said that they were booked at 2 pm. We were quite surprised when we arrived at 2 intending to wait until 2:30 and the restaurant had a ton of empty seats. We were seated immediately. So there might be some issues with the app that may be stopping you from operating at more peak performance. I come from a restaurant management background so I’m always looking at things like that. Hope this is helpful.

    The food was very good. Some dishes were spicier than expected, so be sure to ask. The donuts are a great desert to share. Nice beer selection, not good wine selection. There is not a lot of padding around, so it got kind of hard for me to hear every now and then. Service by Kayla was tremendous! It's not a fancy steak house, but very solid eatery.     Our group of 4 enjoyed lunch here. The menu had a lot of variety, including several nice gluten-free options, so it was hard to decide what to get. The food was pretty good, although some things were a little spicier than expected and a little dry (not enough BBQ sauce). We were celebrating 2 birthdays, and were surprised with festive desserts for both guests of honor - including one that was adjusted to be GF. Very thoughtful and much appreciated! Our server was very good - making sure to put in the appetizer order in right away, answering questions abut the menu, refilling drinks throughout the meal, etc. She was on top of everything but not overbearing at all. It was crowded when we arrived around 12:30 PM, but not too noisy - so it was still easy to carry on conversation. Overall, we had a great time at this birthday lunch!

    We have been frequenting City Works since it opened. All the dishes we have tried have been very good. The chopped salad is excellent. Staff are very personable. Prices are reasonable. Did not particularly care for the surcharge that is added to the bill.

    Great menu. Food looked and tasted delicious. However, the level of salt was off the charts! Shortly afterwards I felt like a salt bomb went off in my mouth. Fortunately, fresh fruit helped. Probably won't go back.
