Had a wonderful time my first visit to city works. Can’t wait to go back and try the salmon!
Staff is very friendly. Service was really good. Food was good. Menu was slightly limited.
The service was absolutely terrible. The waiter was obnoxious and rude to my large party celebrating a birthday. He gave me an attitude after asking where the food was after 1 hour of waiting. They were out of the filet mignon which was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant and won’t be returning.
Our reservation was honored without delay, but then the assigned waitress failed to appear. However, after alerting an adjacent waitress, Rae, she arranged to take over serving us, and she was very friendly and attentive. The food was sports-bar good. We enjoyed our visit
Went here after a Steelers game and absolutely loved the atmosphere!!
Men's room was an embarrassment to the establishment. Disgusting!
Enjoyed a reserved table for 7 before walking to Heinz field for a concert.
While the food was good, it was nothing special. Our server put our appetizers and meal in at the same time, and our meal came out before our app. We waited quite a while for drinks, and in general had to seek out our server. The manager made a big deal of comping our appetizers but when the time came they were in the bill. It was fine, I just won’t be going back unless I’m with a group of people that all really want to go there.
Met friends we had not seen in a while after Steeler game. RayLynn (sp) was awesome. She took great care of us. Service was spectacular.
We got there a little early for the reservation but they sat us immediately. We stayed a long time in order to watch a game and the server was great about it even though we took his table for an extended period of time.
Some of the best servers in Pittsburgh. I'll definitely be back.
Another COVID tragedy. Understaffed, average bar food and over priced
We have been to City Works at least 30 times. This is the first time we had such a terrible experience. The food was cold and I mean cold. We had to wait for the waitress numerous times. She did bring out additional french fries, but yet again, they were luke warm at best. I don't know if there was just a staffing issue, but we have never had such terrible food before there. We will go back, hoping this was just a fluke.
A place to fill your belly. Ordered medium rare burger...got medium well. Our server didn't take away dirty dishes but was very anxious sell us more drinks. Didn't feel comfortable the entire time we were there. If you need to eat and run...this is the place for you. If you need a place for you and your buds to watch the game...go!!!
Food was great until a person sat down with 2 extremely large untrained dogs. I don’t like to eat with dogs. Service was good also.
I have been to this place multiple times and have always had a great experience regarding the food. This last time , service was a bit lacking with her attitude and attentiveness . She didn’t seem to be in the best mood and rarely checked back with us.That all being said , food was exceptional yet again, ahi tacos are to die die
Well, we ordered an appetizer which never came out until after our food. It was not good at all. Forgot my daughter’s drink. Service was sub par too.
Great food, awesome service. Happy hour specials were great. It is definitely a place to check out.
Food came out over cooked first time, and completely raw the second time. We sat at 6pm and weren’t finished till 8:15 between the server not coming to our table but very rarely and it taking them 3 times to get my food correct.
The drinks from the bar were very good though, but the food and overall service was not
Excellent restaurant, great food, great service. Had party of 8 all with very different palettes. Waitress knew all menu offerings intimately and answered all our questions which helped us all decide on some great food and an excellent experience. We will definitely visit again. We are from Scranton Pa.
The food was absolutely amazing! The drinks were yummy, too!
Good food and good service. It was not busy so it was quiet
quality consistent food with good service. We go there often
AMAZING!!! Location great, food EXCELLENT!!!!! Left craving more
This is my go to place. I love the consistency!
Have been there often. This visit I had the chopped salad that not good. It had pre-cooked frozen chicken pieces that were tough. The lettuce was chopped a day earlier and was soggy and browning. Very Disappointed!
I was overly dissapointed in our experience. Service was not great and food was below average. We went for an early dinner and wasn't that busy. Very over priced for the quality of food and beverage.
They always have a great beer selection, the Caesar salad rocks, rigatoni was dope. I’ll be back
Glad to see the restaurant was busy. Server was great considering all the tables she had. Food was good.
We enjoyed our visit and dinner & drinks.
Our server, Crystal was amazing and made us feel welcome and checked in regularly to make sure we were properly taken care of. We’ll be back again! Thank you.
Good food a little too crowded
Visited this establishment a few times during our stay and found the food to be very tasty. One dish that we ordered twice was very inconsistent in its presentation and accompaniments. Overall was a good experience.
Overall we had a good experience. Filet sliders came completely raw when ordered medium (just seared on outside). Manager was great in doing what he could to better the experience.
The service and food were great. Beware, it is very loud. Especially on a Friday after work!!
Great beer selection! Good place for a game, great service, and good food.
I’m sorry I wish I could give more stars but from the appetizers to the main meal it wasn’t good. The fish tacos almost tasted like the fish had gone bad. Also so many onions that all you tasted was red onion and terrible fish. I ate half of one and we decided to go somewhere else. Our server was super friendly and her service was great. Nothing bad to say about her. Staff was friendly as well. Just food wasn’t good at all and that’s unfortunate.
Had a great team building get together. Can not thank our server enough for providing exceptional service.
Service was very slow. The food was okay, nothing outstanding.
Our waitress was great. Food was decent. Its a sports bar its loud. One issue: I wanted a booth (there were 5-6 available surrounding the perimeter of the bar area) but the hostess insisted on seating us in the tall boy long tables. I have back problems. Its uncomfortable for me to sit in those chairs but I just went along as the hostess wasn;'t budging on the booth. Over the 1+ hours we were there (july 4th evening) 4 booths remained unoccupied. Give people the seats they want. It isn't that hard if the seats are unoccupied. Bottom line, this place is OK, decent food, loud ambience , great service if you get the right server.
