Romeo was great. Felt like the tables were a little packed in (not covid related, just felt tight).
City Works made accommodations for our large group. They provided excellent service and delicious entrees. Our server was diligent and gave us amazing experience. This place was nice with a relaxing atmosphere and made us feel welcomed.
Atmosphere and food was awesome.
We love the atmosphere. It took a little long to get our beverages. A item of our order was forgotten and didn’t arrive until we were ready to go
Great food! Great service! Lots of fun!
Went for brunch and had a great experience, delicious food, great service! Nice area and it was a beautiful day to sit on the patio. Will definitely be back
Always good food, great beer and wine!
I would recommend 3 out of 4 of the dishes we had: the bacon cheeseburger, the smokehouse platter, and the easy like sunday morning. I don't recommend the new ahi tuna salad. It was lacking in flavor. Our server was Romeo and he is THE BEST. He's waited on us before and his upbeat personality can't be beat. He is a pleasure to visit with. We'll definitely be back!
Aside from having to nearly yell, to have a conversation, this place is awesome. Great food, wonderful wait staff and the ambiance is great. Just too loud if you want to chat up your friends.
We were there for my daughter's 15th Birthday Celebration and the service was impeccable along with the food and drinks!
Great food! Amazing beer selection and friendly staff.
The food took over 30 minutes to come out when the restaurant was not at full capacity.
Great food. Great service. Will definitely be back!
I had to pick a place for all my boys to watch football and the Ryder cup and this was the place to go! We had a great booth, the service was very attentive and the food was good. The doughnuts are crazy good! Highly recommend. It was a great way to top off our last TCU family weekend!
We came on a Saturday night and opted to sit outside on the patio. This was 9/18/2021 still during the pandemic so it was not too busy.
We ordered cheese curds and queso for appetizers and both were delicious. Having lived in the midwest for some time I always try curds if an establishment has them and these were superb.
For the mains, we ordered burgers and the mac and cheese. Burgers are good and the mac and cheese was okay. Chicken breast cubes were a little dry and the cheese sauce was creamy but didn't really taste like much of anything. Bacon lardons were great though.
They have an awesome assortment of beers as well. All in all it wasn't bad and I'd come again to try other items - they have duck nachos and fish & chips as well (for next time).
Good service and food
Awesome food! Shout out to Romeo K for giving outstanding service! I went here for my 21st and I’m glad I did!
Great brunch menu with terrific service. Justin was a great server. We will definitely be back.
We always have a great experience there. Great place to eat and have a craft beer. Lots of options. Service is excellent.
We went and had a lovely brunch to celebrate friends 50th birthday!!! Great time
Fun night watching college football. Our waitress was GREAT! Ask for Haley.
Exceptional venue with a plethora of exceptional beer tap choices. Highly recommend!!
Great place for happy hour with friends. Mixed drinks aren’t great, but the definitely have a big selection of craft beer. Food was okay, more like overpriced bar food with a little better flavor. The olive oil parsley fries were just frozen French fries with a little parsley thrown on top. Could’ve fancied those up a little more. The mahi mahi fish tacos were good.
Overall, service could have been better, but they were training quite a few new employees. Will definitely give it another try, but for a more casual meal than what I expected. It’s a cool place.
We went with a big group. it was a fun atmosphere and they were able to accommodate 10 easily. The food was not bad but expensive for everyday sports bar food. The drinks were GOOD but also expensive-12 dollars and up for a cocktail. Service was slow and our waiter seemed kind of out of it. Everyone has those days though.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and we chose Cityworks’s since we’ve heard good things about their brunch. It took about 15 minutes for our waitress to even come greet us, and she wasn’t friendly at all. You could tell she was in a bad mood from the start, and she didn’t try to hide it at all. Our entrees came out about 40-45 minutes after ordering, and one of our guests (there were 6 of us total) had ordered a steak to be cooked medium, and it came out past well done. When she showed our waitress how over cooked it was, all she said was “So what do you want me to do?” Instead of offering a solution to the problem. Overall, our waitress did a very poor job of taking care of our table, and spent most of her time talking to to gentleman by the bar area, instead of checking in on her other tables.
We went to City Works for my Birthday and DFW Restaurant Week. Though they had put BBQ Ribs on the Restaurant Week Menu they said they were OUT of it and you had only 2 other choices. The Chili, Wings, Dessert and Service were wonderful. I just wish they had allowed for a better substiitution for the folks in my party who wanted the ribs.
I would recommend City Works for Chili, Wings, Beer and Sports watching.
The Food and atmosphere was very good. Service was a bit lacking.
We went to City Works especially for the DFW Restaurant Week and the wait staff was clueless about its existence despite there being a specific menu for it online under the DFW Restaurant Week website. We ended up having to order from the standard menu as a result of the wait staff's blank looks when we tried to order off the advertised set menu. Not going to lie, that was a little disappointing and kind of dulled our experience.
I did have the smoked cheddar mac'n'cheese. I loved it apart from the chicken. Why put unseasoned chicken in it?? At least smoke it, or brine it, or something. As it was it just added flavorless chunks of a seemingly random substance amongst absolute tastiness. Tofu would have done the same thing and that is not a compliment. I solved the problem by just avoiding the chicken, however, that made me look "extra" to my date, who couldn't understand why I had ordered M'n'C with chicken if I wasn't gonna eat the chicken. Subsequently, I doubt I will be invited on a second date, ho hum.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was good as well. If I had one issue it would be the service, our server hardly checked on us at all. They were a nice person though. I will definitely be back!
Excellent waitress, food delicious and overall experience great.
great place to meet with a group of friends. Food and drinks were excellent. Service was excellent!
This was our second time at City Works.
First Visit: Brunch
We celebrated my wife's birthday doing brunch with family. The menu was "rock-n-roll" based and interesting. The brunch was decent, the mimosas were good (especially the sangria mimosa). Live music on the patio (solo acoustic) was great and a nice touch.
We decided to try this "Music Bingo" thing out. It was fun, laid back and chill! Food was "okay" in my opinion. Everything else was great.
Definitely on the pricey side (in my opinion) when it comes to drinks. Be sure to join the Bottlecap Rewards and you can earn $10, $20 off your tab. The ambience is nice and the staff seems fun and punctual. Food overall has been "okay". We'll be back (to use our $50's in rewards) - LOL
Service was just average, took a while to get our drinks... ordered beer. They need more servers, last visit was the same issue.
Very good place for large crowds during sports events.
Good food, service. Great beer selection and the game is always on.
3rd time visiting and food was delicious, actually got something different this time. Server was a little slow with bringing us our check and to go boxes. All in all was a good experience and will definitely be going back.
Excellent service. Great good and selection.
Fried pickles for our appetizer were wonderful. Perfect batter. Three of our party ordered the salad which was beautifully presented and very tasty. Fourth ordered a burger and commented on how tasty and well seasoned it was. Our waiter was good but they got really busy and there only seemed to be 2 people waiting tables, definitely not the wait staffs issue as they were doing their best. I know many restaurants are hurting for employees so not willing to fault our waiter.
We had a very large group encompassing 2 tables for the Music Bingo night. No one went without anything they needed and everyone was pleased with their food.
