We had dinner with friends we hadn’t seen for over 20 years, and wanted to find a place with menu selection to meet the various dietary differences, had a full bar, outside seating and enough space that we didn’t have to worry about being chased off after an hourZ. City Works in Frisco hit all the marks! I only deducted a point because of the limited menu offering during COVID, but the staff and management had all the COVID precautions in place and enforced them. Service was great, food tasted good, and the drinks were wonderful! This was our first time to dine at a restaurant since March, and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more, thanks to Nicole and team!!
The service was great! The food was good but not great. The biggest complaint was the booths were nasty. The cover on the seats were falling apart and the tables were wobbly causing drinks to spill. The restaurant isn’t that old so the furniture quality must be cheap.
We are from out of state and new to Texas; went here to celebrate my son's 16th birthday and the service was amazing. The wait staff was so curious and patient with our questions. We will defiantly be back as everything we had from apps to dessert was delicious.
Shelby was great and attentive. Wine selection needs major work and wine glasses need to be cooled or not warm at least.
We had a great meal. The restaurant did a great job of dealing with Cobid issues. Our waitress was great. Each person in our 4 person party had a different entree and all were very good. I had the pork chop and it was excellent. Great place to eat, relax and have a few drinks.
The service, view and ambiance were great. This is a place I will definitely go again.
Shelby was great. My pork chop was raw. I politely asked for it to be cooked longer and when it came back it was still raw. We like this place, just don’t order the pork chop.
Service was great and outdoor seating enjoyable. Restaurant was very clean.
When we got there the A/C was turned off being repaired so it was stifling hot, then the drinks were not as expected, and the food was not up to their normal par. We've had much better experiences at this location.
Awesome job as usual with food, service and atmosphere
Great place to grab a beer and some good food!
Everything was wonderful
When we walked in the door, it kind of smelled like a sewer. Not sure if they were having water problems or what. But once we sat down, the smell was not as strong as walking in. Bathroom also had no toilet paper and we were only allowed to use the coed one. But! Our server was excellent, beer was great and the food was good!!
It was the first time my husband and I went out to a restaurant in awhile, due to COVID. The tables were spread out, and our waiter did a wonderful job checking in on us! Surfaces were constantly being wiped down and sanitized. We felt safe with all of the precautions they had in place! We are so glad that City Works is open again!
City Works has amazing food and service, 100% recommend this place to anyone!!!
Very quiet for a Friday evening, but the service and food was great. We will be back!
First day they reopended after the pandemic shutdown. Only thing missing on the limited menu was the chili, which I have posted on before - best chili in town, and for some reason they did not serve it. But such is life. Well worth a visit as the food is delicious and they are glad to see you.
As expected (and we hoped for), the beer selection was OUTSTANDING!!! Our party of 5 split some "shareables". WOW, the Kung Pao Cauliflower was tender and spiced perfectly. Not a lot of heat ... just enough. The Duck Nachos were also really good and I wanted MORE!! We also shared the Fish Tacos and the Short Rib Tacos. No one in our party had anything negative to say. Thank you Brett (our server) for a very positive and fun dining experience.
Hi there, I'm glad you had a wonderful time at City Works! I will pass your compliments on to Brett, he will be happy to hear them. We hope you'll come back again soon! - Staley
Great food and great atmosphere with a nice selection of beer. My kind of place!
Hi David, I'm glad you had a nice time at City Works! Come back again soon! - Staley
Great environment! My Group enjoyed our food and our server was great! definitely returning!
Food is not good and to be honest to expensive for what they serve.
I got the ahi tuna salad with almost no tuna! For the same price there are definitely better places in Frisco!
Music to loud at 3 PM!

Love that we can make reservations as it's always busy. Great food. Good server. My mom's salad came out wrong but they fixed it relatively quickly & he apologized. Pretty loud to talk to each other but overall good experience.
Just okay. Give it a C. Sunday brunch was a little crazy, tables weren’t being bussed. Hostess marked us a no show on Open Table which was frustrating.

Enjoyed a Valentine’s date with my wife and friends. It was our first time to eat at City Works and didn’t disappoint.
Great food, large selection of beer.
Hi Robert, thanks for visiting City Works! We look forward to seeing you again soon! - Staley
The chef quit, manager no where to be found and it was super bowl Sunday.
Entertaining clients and friends...pretty embarrassing and not like we could just leave and find another spot. You owe us bigtime!
I would need to give them another shot. Our server was great. The kitchen was shut down really early and we weren't able to order anything past a couple appetizers - on Superbowl Sunday!!! Again, our server took care of us for the inconvenience but still it wasn't the best situation. We left at halftime.
Nice place and convenient location. The staff were very nice and attentive.
Food was too Salty. (And I like salt)
Sat at the bar. Service was good there.
2nd visit and love it even more. I have recommended it to my family and other friends. The restaurant has a great atmosphere for all occasions. Wonderful customer service and great staff.
Hi Stepfaine, I'm glad you had a great time at City Works! Come back again soon! - Staley
Location was great, customer service great ambiance was perfect for watching the games. Unfortunately, the food was subpar. Ribs were over-cooked and dry for example.
I would go again, but not necessarily to eat.
A fine place to go for a lunch - best chili around Frisco in my opinion. Wonderful selection of beers.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
I went for rock n roll brunch but the football games were on and there was no music. It was understandable, it is a sports bar, but a big disappointment since I expected some vintage rock music when I had brunch.

I had a reservation for five people I had made online the night before and there wasn’t even a table in the main area saved or ready for us. We had to go upstairs. The chili was lukewarm, my salad was mediocre, our waitress was extremely ill and I noticed our out of town guest didn’t even finish his hamburger.

It was fantastic!!!! Love love love it. The food was outstanding and will visit again and recommend to family and friends!
