service and appetizers very good....we had the ribs and they were very tasty, however thought they were a little dry
Good food and drinks, service was a bit slow since waitress kept botching up the orders
Hi there, I'm glad you liked the food and drinks! Thank you for letting us know about the service. - Staley
My daughter and her friends came here for her birthday. They were served raw salmon. Although they removed it from their bill it was not a great experience.
The service has really gone downhill. Aside from way too rapid refills of my son’s lemonade, our server was completely inattentive & hard to find. I asked for our side salads before the meal & she said she wasn’t sure if she could do that but would check. With no follow up or apology, they came out with our main courses. I was dripped on regularly by a pipe above and when I told someone (because our server was MIA), I was just told “yeah our AC has been doing that”. Also 2 of the last 3 times we’ve visited, the Incredible Burger was out of stock. And now they don’t know when it will be back. The Tinga tacos were really good, as were my husband’s and son’s chicken sandwiches. Too loud to talk across our booth without yelling. Not a good experience.

We’ve eaten here several times. Food always good
Tonight my husband ordered the salmon he said it was one of the best he’s ever eaten.
We will be back again soon.
Hi Ilene, I'm glad you had a great meal at City Works! Come back again soon! - Staley
Server was great - salads came out warm
Yes it is a fun, enjoyable and with great view place. The beer selection is good, the food is good. My only minor complaint, I had reserved a table on the second floor, but when I arrived the second floor was reserved for some event, and therefore I did not have access. My preference would have been that my expectation be set, so that I would have know prior to getting to City Works. Maybe I would have made different plans would I have known that the second floor was not available.
Food is great. The filet mignon sliders are a must. Fun atmosphere.
Hi Susan, I'm glad you had a great time at City Works! Thanks for leaving your feedback :) - Staley
Great dinner out with the wife and kids! Food and service were great and will definitely go back!
Hi Sean, I'm glad you had a great time at City Works! Come back again soon! :) - Staley
Food was just ok, biscuits and gravy were really a English muffin and not a biscuit..
Breakfast Sammie was very good but my daughter’s had too much fennel. Husband’s Sammie was very good. Stuffed French toast was filled with so much grease it oozes onto plate when cut. The flavor of the Baileys filling almost made up for all the grease. Blueberries in topping were fresh but strawberries were either from frozen or cut a couple of days ago.
Food was ok - best part was the appetizer

Really great place to watch a game. Enormous patio is likely packed in the fall for football on the Cowboys big screen. Lots of tvs inside and a nice modern atmosphere. Happy hour prices were nice. I had the duck nachos, which sound great in theory and lacked in execution as the wonton chips become immediately soggy from the cheese sauce. BBQ chicken flatbread was good.
Typical inside/outside table assignments where the outside gets forgotten for significant periods of time. Had to ask for silverware, condiments and alcohol refills.
This is more of a place to have happy hour than date night. Half of the seating is high top tables, so if you have a reservation and don’t want to sit at a high too make sure you ask. The beer selection was great, but the food was less than impressive. The fries were really good, but everything else was meh.
We had great food and really good service but there some parents that let their kids run around the terrace yelling and screaming. Luckily the wait staff stepped in and said something to the parents.
City Works was a great location to go to grab a bite to eat and watch some March Madness! The wall of TVs was visible from our seats and we could easily watch not only the game of most interest to us; but the other games being played as well. Our server was personable, timely, and very knowledgable about the beers that were on tap. She gave great recommendations- and bought out a sample to my guest that was unsure of a beer that she was describing. The beer and food were both great!
Hi Elaine, I'm glad you had a great time at City Works! We look forward to seeing you again soon! - Staley
Food was good. Beer was nice and cold.

Wonderful anniversary dinner. Mason was a terrific server. He provided great advice when ordering drinks and food. He never rushed us as we took time enjoying our night out. Will be back for the food, drinks and service.

Good food, great place. Service was quite slow and it wasn’t that busy. Love the food though.
Been coming here a few times now, and it still does not disappoint. Best chili around, great appetizers, an extraordinary and reasonable priced beer list, and a fine atmosphere.
Hi Terence, I'm so glad to hear you're having a great time at City Works! We look forward to seeing you again soon! :) - Staley
Went to City Works on a date with my wife. It was our first time there. We both ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad. Aside from it taking a long time to get our food, the food was horrible. The side salad was literally three bites (I'm not exaggerating). The bun was hard and the grilled chicken was dry and way over-cooked. Even the bacon on the sandwiches was burned. All of this for over $30 after the tip. Very poor value. Our waiter was fine, although I was waiting for him to ask us how everything was...but he never did.

We chose City Works for a Valentine's double date with my teenage daughter and her boyfriend. We were excited to try the restaurant since we had never been. I liked the menu option (buffalo chicken dip was a great appetizer) and the waiter was very personable and helpful with all our questions. He gave great suggestions for the beer and warned us that the cauliflower steak is not meat! ha! Wish there were more dessert options, although the two they had were delicious!
Hi Glen, I'm happy to hear you all had a nice time at City Works! Thanks for picking us as your date night spot :) Come back again soon! - Staley
Eh. Drink menu and place were impressive. Buffalo chicken dip was good, wings were flavorless. All in all solid C+.

It was our first time there, during the winter so I can't speak to the outside café seating but indoors: I love all the soft seating options. We were there for Valentine's Day and while I was disappointed there WASN'T a special 'love-themed' dish by the chef or drink for the day by the bartender, we enjoyed the menu. I like an incentive menu so I loved and highly recommend you trying the duck nachos. For those not so adventurous, they have standard fare, too. Being so close to the Star, the many tv's were awesome for this Dallas Stars fan. I won't blame City Works for the loss...and we'll definitely be back!
Valentines Day. Now we know why seats were available at 630p
Friends introduced me to this dining spot and it has been fun to take other friends there to share the experience. Sahara was excellent wait staff and we had a relaxing and enjoyable evening.
Hi Becky, I'm glad you had a nice time at City Works! I will pass your compliment on to Sahara, she'll be happy to hear it. Come back again soon! - Staley
One of our favorite places to eat. By far one if the best craft beer selection in Frisco.
Great food, good service, wide selection of beer. Somewhat noisy in the bar area. Priced similarly to other good quality brew pubs/gastrobars.
Hi Paul, I'm glad you had a nice time at City Works! We hope you'll come back again soon! - Staley
Best chili in Frisco. Together with their eclectic burger menu and offer the top list of on tap beers, they offer a set of tasty choices. Wait staff are attentive and friendly.
Only complaint is that the music is way too loud when the restaurant is uncrowded.
Hi Terrance, I'm so glad you had a great time at City Works! Come back again soon! - Staley
Tried City Works when an old friend popped into town. What an interesting place with an amazing beer selection, more TVs behind the bar than I could count and a nice ambience. Best part of the bar/TV area is that we could sit away from it and not be distracted by all the motion, noise, and bright lights from the TVs.
Wait staff was great and so was the food. Great comfort food options and the made from scratch setup allowed my friend who is vegetarian, to customize a few options for his lunch.
Given the neighborhood and the Cowboys practice stadium out the window, the prices were decent and I'l go back here for a special occasion or lunch with an old friend again.
Me and my wife went for our anniversary. We would definitely go back. From the moment we walked into the door we were greated very respectfully. Our waiter was awesome. We cracked some jokes here and there. We went on a Wednesday so it wasnt really packed so i think on the weekends would be a different story. The food was awesome. The heavyweight burger was insane and what better way to finish dinner than a very good dessert. The peanut butter snickers pie was the icing on the cake. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Cant wait to go back.
Service was great and food delicious. Tons of beers to choose from with an option to taste first.
Got a glass of wine and it tasted kinda fishy. Apparently it’s on tap. Awful. Our waiter was terrible, tried to get his attention multiple times and it was clear he was avoiding us.

Poor cocktails- ordered old fashioned and received bourbon and water. No orange peel or cherry garnish or bitters. Poor service. Food took forever to come out and was cold. Plus 2 of our party of 3 was sick (upset stomach) at 3am.

“Not Your Mamas Thanksgiving” was appropriately named since there wasn’t a Thanksgiving meal for our family. Made our reservation almost a month before Thanksgiving. The event was advertised from 12pm to 8pm. Our reservation was reconfirmed the day before Thanksgiving. To our surprise when we arrived at 3:30 we were told by the hostess that they were out of food for the Thanksgiving meal. She then stated that it was stated the meal was first come, first serve. There was nothing stated in their website that the food was limited. She was extremely rude. We were then told we had to order off of their regular menu. It was basically take it or leave it. We decided to stay since we had no other option, we were seated, my husband ordered a single, blended scotch. After looking at the menu we decided to leave. My husband was charged $14.86 for the Scotch!!! The only person that was empathetic and offered an apology was our wait person. It is unbelievable that the management of this restaurant would be so inept not to have enough food based on the reservations. Will never go back. I would give them zero stars if I could. Lousy customer service, no genuine hospitality!
Hi Laura, I am terribly sorry that this was your Thanksgiving experience. I've sent you a private message and look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your feedback, and again, we are sincerely sorry about this. - Staley
Let start by saying this...due to the lack of food, we didn’t pay full price. Also the wait staff provided a good service under the circumstances. This review is for their Thanksgiving buffet. We arrived at 3:00 (reservation) and t they were out of prime rib. They opened at noon, not sure how you can be out so early in the day. The buffet was never full, items listed we never got. All the food was cold. I was so upset that my Thanksgiving was ruined. Don’t come for the Thanksgiving buffet, it’s horrible. The manager explained they had many orders early for prime rib, and the wait staff were away from their families...I tuned him out, not sure what that had to do with not enough food when you are a restaurant. If you want your to staff to enjoy the day with their families, then close your business. Nevertheless, we won’t be back, I am still upset.
Hi, I am so sorry that your Thanksgiving dinner went this way. I've sent you a private message and look forward to hearing from you soon. We appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback, as we take it very seriously. - Staley
Our waitress Madison was friendly attentive and knowledgeable of all the beer. She was a joy to have. The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious!
