This was in the music venue itself, food was mediocre, they were short-staffed. We had an excellent waiter who had too much to do. The show was outstanding. Food in the dining area seems much better. Excellent setting patio wine bar with good beers and good liquors
For the second time in a month, when it’s glorious to sit outside in Atlanta, we couldn’t because “we’re out of propane”. Inside is fine but the poor entertainer outside had one table of two to play for. They sell propane across the street!
I'm not sure if we picked a bad night to dine here, but the experience was far below our expectations. We had to return silverware as they were spotty and our glasses of water had floating particles. The food was average at best. I ordered the hamburger (cooked medium), truffle mac and cheese, and the brussel sprouts. The hamburger was overcooked, so I returned it. Much to my surprise, when I received a new hamburger, it came with pickles (very vinegary), tomatoes, and lettuce. They did not come with the first order. The mac and cheese was runny and cold. The brussel sprouts were very good. Our friends had to return their meals as well, but the duck tacos were quite tasty. When we talked to the on-duty Manager, he asked, "What did they do this time?" I get the impression that this isn't the first time that the kitchen staff was escalated on. I planned on returning to see some of the artists that are scheduled to perform, but I'll make sure I eat elsewhere first.
Ok really disappointed. Took 30 minutes to get a salad which tasted good but a cold grilled salad, not quite right. But waiting 50 minutes for cold food was totally unacceptable. They did take off the food we couldn't eat from the bill but no apology, no visit from the manager nothing. I guess them bringing us someone else's food right after we ordered was an indicator of things to come.
We had brunch for the first time at City Winery Sunday. Barely any tables had customers at 2:30, yet it took almost an hour and a half to eat. The waitress kept disappearing, no offer for any refills, no ice in drinks, and the food was cold. The hash browns really just looked like leftover stale French fries cut in pieces. The ommelette was small, and the biscuit was hard and stale. I doubt we’ll try brunch here again.
Very friendly and good service. I would go again.
Had a delightful brunch experience on a Sunday. Our server was very attentive and helpful making recommendations. The food was delicious - at a table of 4, we all got something different and all loved everything we got. The shareable mimosa situation, with a bunch of juice options was awesome! I was surprised that it was not terribly crowded, but the weather was quite bad, so we only had a few other tables around us. Overall, great experience and will definitely be back.
We went on a Wednesday night and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. There was mini concert going on downstairs, which is where majority of the people were. Once we finished dinner, we went downstairs to enjoy the music by purchasing tickets that were roughly $15 each. You can also order food downstairs, which we didn’t know prior to going. The food was great. Definitely try the pumpkin, goat cheese, and ricotta cheese balls 😍 the whole night was definitely something I’d like to do again.
It was very nice and peaceful and very enjoyable and the abmustfear was excellent .
Friendly, professional staff. An awesome experience.
The blackened shrimp and pasta dish came out with the garlic bread, so got the attention of our server who was a bit busy. By the time the bread came the pasta dish had gotten cold. Wine was great.
The other dish was the pulled lamb sandwich which came out less than room temperature, and had too much of the yogurt sauce on it. The surprise was the taste of the big peace of purple onion that kill the meal for me. The IPA beer was very enjoyable
Second visit to City Winery - first visit was amazing that’s why we were returning. We had to ask for our appetizer bread four times. Our server didn’t know what the flatbread of the day was or what was served with the pork chop. Several diners around us were obviously having similar issues. Food was taken to wrong tables. Pork chop order came as a chicken breast. Asked to speak with manager as did at least two other tables. Manager got defensive - we asked for nothing no refund no discount or anything. The food and drinks were good but the service was horrendous!
The service was very poor. The server was not aware of the menu or the specials, took forever to arrive, checked in irregularly, and we had to wait a long time to pay. We overheard the table next to us attempt to order three different cocktails, each time being rebuffed that they were out of stock of that cocktail. The organization of the front of house was chaotic and mismanaged, with multiple people attempting to manage the wait list but not communicating. We had a reservation, and were luckily seated right away, but we did get a table away from the main dining room in a very dimly lit area, where we seemed mostly forgotten by the wait staff.
My boyfriend and I went for Valentine's day and because of the holiday I thought it would be packed, but it wasn't. The ambiance was perfect for the evening and our waitress was really nice. It took a while for our entree to come out and when it did my boyfriend says it was cold.
This was a special Valentine's day menu so I was expecting the food to be much better. The appetizers were cold. The steak was tough and my sides were also cold. The server was slow and kept disappearing for a long time. One of the worse dinners we've had in a long time!!
The ambiance is great. We plan to go back for a concert and dinner next time.
Service was very slow considering very few patrons were dining. Server didn't know much about the wines offered, which seems odd and negligent on the part of a winery? The beet/tahini dip was FANTASTIC, but overpriced for the amount of dip served. If the service had been more attentive and knowledgeable, may have overlooked the price
Our server wasn’t slow but, the kitchen was and there were only two other tables in the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer and didn’t get it until after our food came out and we asked for it. My order was supposed to have avocado with it and there was no avocado in sight. With all of the restaurants in Atlanta, it didn’t compare to the good ones.
The food was very average and was expecting a better experience based on the location. The wine choices were great and it was a good place to hangout for drinks more so than a dinner destination.
Ambience is perfect for a date night. Noise level is much better than other places in Atlanta.
Our waitress was very sweet and prompt.
Biggest issue was timing of food. Our appetizer didn’t arrive until after our main course, which was 45 min in the making. Excuses were made that the “kitchen was behind due to the show downstairs”, but our main course arrived lukewarm as if it had sat for a long time. And appetizer was also supposed to be a hot appetizer, but was cool.
Our waitress apologized, and took the appetizer off our bill.
Dessert was very good - tartness of lemon tart just right.
Food and drinks were good. Service was slow and not accurate despite us being one of very few parties in the restaurant. I’ve had a good experience there in the past and would recommend and return.
Ran out of appetizers (deviled eggs) at 5pm on Sunday?
Fries were stone cold on the plate with hot burger, had to ask for fresh fries.
Grilled romaine salad was barely dressed and not good.
Servers seemed frazzled. Bar was super slow... not sure what’s complicated about a glass of wine, and a vodka soda. Overall bad experience. Would not recommend. Beautiful huge place. Needs some management. Have been a couple times before and it keeps going downhill.
Service was horrible. No music. Had to ask for refill on wine... appetizer came out when food came out. Awful atmosphere. Was there for anniversary and will never go back. Food was a 4 on a 1-10 scale. Service was a 2 and atmosphere was a 1.
Nice place for a couples night. Food was expensive and drinks were pricey. It may be nicer to someone who likes a quiet night. Ambience was great! Just not for me.
We went for lunch, with reservations. They were having an event in one part of the restaurant. There were four of us but only three drinks were delivered. We ordered one flat bread and three different salads, two with chicken and one with shrimp. The salads came out first. We told the person who delivered them that they were all missing the protein. He looked at us for a second and then asked if we wanted him to take them back to the kitchen. We said they could just bring out the protein on plates. They brought out two plates for the three salads, one with chicken, the other with half chicken and three shrimp. The flatbread had still not been delivered, they said it was on the way. We apologized to our flatbread friend and had almost completely finished our salads by the time her flatbread made it out. She ate two pieces and then asked for a box, she had a meeting and was tight on time. When the bills were delivered our waiter set one of them on the box of flatbread and knocked it to the floor where it all spilled out. He apologized, but did not offer to do anything. We should have asked for a manager, but we all just wanted to leave. The food was good, and the restaurant had a nice feel. We had been meaning to try it for dinner and entertainment, but wanted to do some shopping at Ponce City. Not sure if we will be back.
Had dinner before a show. Menu selections are ambitious but not well executed. Soup was never hot even after two tries and needed salt. Peri peri shrimp dish wasn’t good. Shrimp had no seasoning and too spicy sauce was not a compliment. For main course large plate serving size inadequate. Server was attentive and apologetic.
Music in downstairs venue was great but food service can be distracting for patrons and performers. That’s why we came early for dinner.
Will eat elsewhere and just enjoy the music and wine in the future,
It was great! Will be back. Food, wine and service was top notched.
Very nice wine place for grown ups. Great selection of wine and food. Waitress was nice but not as attending as I would have thought. The restaurant wasn't crowded so this maybe anew thing now. Enjoyed it and would highly recommend to others.
We had reservations for 9:30, we got there at 9:44 and we were told the restaurant was closing at 10:00PM.. I went and said “but we made reservations thro”open table” the said “I’m sorry but we’re closing at 10’
Service was terrible. Waiter promised to bring water for table but never did. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine well before we ordered our meal, but it didn't arrive at the table until well after the food was brought out. The skirt steak came out a full 15 minutes before my wife's flatbread did. So we sat there with one entree and no wine for a very long time. The skirt steak was very salty and not very good. The flatbread was just okay. The music venue was great, but we'll never eat in the restaurant again.
Quick lunch with extended family while shopping at PCM after christmas. Convenience won out over concerns about the ratings from other reviewers.
Place was basically empty for a 1pm lunch. Server was pretty good and friendly...but clearly some disconnect between the kitchen and front staff. Never got our appetizer - server forgot to put in. One entree...learned quite a bit after ordering that they didn't have any left, and a soup appetizer was completely wrong. The 3 different salads were actually pretty decent. Kale, Bibb, and Grilled Romaine salads were good sized and well-balanced. Due to the other food issues...the only hot entrees we got were Margherita Flatbreads. Good but nothing special. All of this combined with the overly high prices made for an average at best experience.
The wine, however, was pretty darn good. Prices still seemed high for what it was but at least it was good.
Beautiful facility. Wonderful ambiance but was still hungry when I left. I ordered the calamari appetizer, it had more onion rings in it than actual squid. I also had the shrimp piri piri, the shrimp were over cooked and small enough to be an appetizer. I like this establishment and will return because the staff are courteous and kind. The venue also has a great lineup of wonderful performers.
Service was slow. They brought out our meal at the same time as the appetizer even when we asked for the app first. They steak that I ordered medium was extremely rare and we had to send it back. My husband finished his meal by the time the next one came out. And then they charged us for it twice so we had to wait again while she fixed the bill. Overall definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend. Spens your money at one of the many other nearby restaurants for your pre/post show meal.
We stopped by for a glass of wine while shopping. The staff was friendly & polite.
Table of 4. I ordered Duck tacos w/brussels. Not really any flavor in either, no S&P at table & waiter took too long to retrieve items for other guests. 3 orders of fries for friends were cold, burgers had no flavor...
Had been looking forward to coming, won’t be back.
I hate to say it, but the experience was just meh. Our server was really kind and fairly attentive. The atmosphere and ambience were very nice. But, the food and drink were unremarkable. Not bad. Just...meh. I tried a flight of four different house wines, and honestly, I would've been just as pleased with a $5 bottle from the grocery store. Disappointing food and beverage is a deal-breaker for me. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I wouldn't choose to spend my money here again.
I think if your not going to see a show this place is great for drinks at the bar, more of a social scene. The cuisine is not that great and most of the food items came out cold. The servers are very attentive and professional.
Date night for me and my husband
Did not have reservation correct. Slow service that seemed annoyed to be there. Won’t be going back
