Enjoyed a good meal, good service, good company, good atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back.
The food menu is sparse. You're paying for the ambiance and being in Ponce City Market. Only would return for a concert. Only a few people (5) in dining area and we waited about 10 minutes for a server to come to our table.
It was a decent experience. The calamari was so so. My salmon was great although the grit was a little cold. My server was very attentive. I’ll give it another try!
I was very surprised by the bunch at City Winery. It was my 1st time coming for brunch and the food was very disappointing. The dinner menu is great and I bring clients often, but the brunch was pretty poor. The pancakes were very dry, the scrambled eggs were a bit runny and my client couldn’t get though even half of the grits. For the price and quality, I will likely just stick with the lunch and dinner at this restaurant.
I love this place...but this time the food and service was subpar.
Arrived at 6:30 on reservations and did not receive our COLD food until 8:45. Entire meal was free due to poor service.
The waiter we had was terrible. He said things that didnt Help situation
He didnt check on food and kept disappearing. I waited tables, he needs serios training go to O Charleys or something until you learn your craft. This is too nice of place to have people slacking. Drinks check in or back in a minute not 15 min .to get sweet tea or lemons. Bathrooms needed attention. Water on floor and paper. They should get checked every hour.
I tried to ask him questions so I could find a way to leave him a tip, but nothing, but more crazy talk.
Just TERRIBLE. You need runners and more help . First time and not a good impressions at all. Thanks to Olga for helping out but, you need to do something with Darren or Daniel what ever. Rush to take our order not helpful at all for our first time there.
Horrible service. Ordered 4 impossible burgers and only received 3. No follow up from our server and the manager was a joke.
Appreciate the seasonal selection for dinner plates especially paired w wine offerings. Sometimes the kitchen misses special requests but it is occasionally
I've been to City Winery on 2 different occasions in the last 6 months and this past visit was a bit disappointing. The food was very good overall including the drinks, but the service was very concerning.
The waitress who was handling our orders appeared overworked, had a somewhat lackluster attitude and forgot a few items that we had requested. The restaurant had about 8 tables filled at any time and there only appeared to be one waitress and one manager that was servicing all tables.
I would think twice before coming back to this restaurant as I believe there are far better options in the immediate area.
My 1st dining and concert experience at C-W. It's a great venue, location, parking garage. Dinner in The Barrel Room, nice setting, winery theme, of course, floor to ceiling windows with view to an outdoor patio dining option. The menu is pricey and the food is OK. I had to send back the ahi tuna, too rare, difficult to cut, for additional cooking. Came back better, but not worth the menu price. Wine by the bottle is pricey. $59 was the lowest price red that wasn't a house brand. Service is 5 Stars! Sommelier comes to the table for questions or suggestions. Waiter staff is well trained, professional, friendly, attentive. The C-W concert room is very cool, nice table layout, lighting, sound system, and of course top notch entertainment! Our hostess Erica was exceptional! She greeted us, smiling, welcoming, professional, and walked us to our reserved table along with a quick walk thru tour that included the tasting room. Very nice touch, and why I plan to include C-W on my go-to list when I have friends and family in town who are wine enthusiasts!
Food was cold. Service was sub par compared to the prices.
Just bad. Glad we had gift certificate. Would not go back.
The restaurant was nice but had limited options on the menu. The wine flight was a good option for those wine rookies like me.
We both had some issues with the food we ordered, they where quick to fix the problem, great Service.
This was a lovely restaurant with a great view. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating as we had 1 person more than our reservation planned for. The food and drinks were awesome and we didn’t feel rushed.
Our waiter was amazing and the drinks were good. Enjoyed our lunch immensely.
The food was horrible, I had to keep switching my order because the food was that nasty and the cooks just wanted to go home I guess. Took forever to get menus
The restaurant was mostly empty however the service was terrible and slow.
We ordered a glass of wine from the Winery’s special list and it was awful. When we questioned the waitress, she offered to bring out the “Som” who appeared to know even less about the wines and said more than once “I. Any remember exactly”.
The appetizers (hummus and calamari) were sub par. It took the waitress more than 20 minutes after the apps arrived to get our dinner order. When asked between the risotto or the Rare Ahi Tuna, she recommended the Tuna but warned that since it was very rare, it would be a more “wet” entree. We went with the burger and the Ahi Tuna. After waiting nearly 45 minutes for our entrees in a nearly empty restaurant, the two entrees arrived. Burger was fine but the tuna was tough and had the consistency of a grilled tuna steak not a rare ahi. The flavor was awful and not at all worth the wait. None of this meal was memorable for the right reasons.
We definitely won’t be back to this location of City Wineries in the future.
Food tasted great but it was cold. I had to reorder twice. It appears that they prepare a lot of plates in advance when they have a show downstairs and the main dinning room also gets those same plates. Example- I ordered the chicken dish and it was at my table in under 10 minutes.
Horrible! The manager was very nice but the all the rest were horrible, super slow in the service even when we were only 4 tables, bad actitud, they mess up with my order twice! in Summary horrible, is sad because the ambience is very nice, location can’t be better and what I can try from the food it was not bad
Stopped in with a few friends for appetizers and beverages. The Brussel sprouts were pretty bad. Over cooked. The kitchen staff figured if they put lots of feta on the dish it wouldn’t get noticed. The server agreed an removed the dish from our plate.
Food was great except for dessert. The chocolate cake was very dry. We needed forks and could never find our waiter. We order Port Wine with dessert and never got it but was not charged for it either. At the beginning we ordered a bottle of wine and it took over 30 minutes for it to come to the table. We rarely saw our waiter which was the reason i did not leave a large tip and the reason why i am rating low. Not sure we will be back but the main course was great.
The drinks were excellent. The food was pretty good as well. I had the Braised Duck, which I found to be a little dry and the sides weren't proportionate with the amount of meat served, but my partner's Steak was absolutely excellent. I definitely look forward to returning, but my recommendation is that the cole slaw and the sauce be made larger to match the amount of tacos that were on the plate.
the servers were nice and friendly
service was slow. The bill amount was wrong and we got over charged then what it was supposed to be..
Food and wine are quite good. Waitress, at least until we ordered our entree, was very attentive and helpful. Other staff delivered our food and a container of mustard was spilled in my lap, even though I was able to catch most of it in my hand. It was an accident and the server returned with napkins...my gripe is there was never any sense of urgency in doing so. Another problem is it seemed apparent that, the restaurant being slow, they wanted to get out at closing time...or earlier. We left before then, but felt rushed at the end.
I made a reservation at 9:45 because, I though the site said they were open to 11 however, they were only open until 10pm.
While the service was good, food was splendid...we felt rushed because, they were closing at 10pm.
So because of this, this put a damper on a romantic Birthday nite out for my friend. Even though I put that it was his birthday when I made the reservation, oddly the restaurant & server was not aware of this.
The server felt so, bad that we were rushed out & that they did not bring attention to his birthday that...she was so sweet to give us an ocapello moment.
Just kind of ruined the ambience & mood which caused us to end the nite earlier than planned.
The service was average but in her defense she had the entire floor. The food was mediocre at best. I and my brother had the duck tocos and the duck was dry and tasteless and the shells were stale. My sister-in-law had the steak salad. The roasted tomatoes were just plain slices and the steak was fatty. The best thing I had was the wine but even that was after I hated all of the samples. I won’t go there again.
Although restaurant was not at all crowded, service was very poor. Food was mediocre.
It wasn't particularly crowded, yet the service was beyond slow and the waiters were rude. The food is sub par - you can definitely find better tapas at other restaurants in Atlanta. Huge disappointment for such a great location
Food would’ve been better at a local dive bar. It was overpriced had $25 salmon and $25 chicken both were about 3-4oz and undercooked. Also had a $30 cheese plate which was mostly blue cheese...like they were trying to get rid of it. Service staff was pleasant...interesting how our server told me to stay away from the lobster linguini which must have been a blessing in disguise since the alternatives we actually ordered were not good at all.
Also don’t order the burrata, bread came out soggy and how do you not put balsamic or something on the tomatoes for flavor...some of the older pics of burrata on Yelp looked incredibly good but they must have switched up the kitchen staff since then.
I’d recommend this place for wine/drinks and live music...that’s about it.
Server showed us to a poorly-placed table, and offered no alternatives when we asked for one. We walked out. Very disappointing Mothers Day celebration.
Overall lack of energy by servers team, the food was good and decor is also very nice, location is great.
It was a Mother's Day Buffet. 30 minutes before it ended, they ran out of several items but did not refill the dishes. The selection of food was slim. They added a 20% gratuity but all the server did was bring us water, a soda and 1 refill. I had been looking forward to my visit to City Winery but I was very disappointed in my experience.
I saw an advertisement on Facebook for mother’s day brunch buffet. I’ve been to this location for concerts and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The brunch buffet was very plain. Some of the hot items weren’t hot and there were only a handful of
Items on the bar. I expected more fruits/salads and hot foods. The foods should have been sampled by the staff to know that seasoning and more heat were required. The space is beautiful and there was no wait,, those were the best things about the Mother’s Day brunch. I will be returning for concerts on the lower level. I’m a foodie and wasn’t totally pleased with this selection.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve had. We were seated and provided with a menu and they were also serving brunch. My party investigated the brunch and decided to order off the menu. The waitress told us the menu was for drinks only and our option was the brunch or nothing. The brunch was HORRIBLE. All the good offered was cold.
The ambiance was soothing, and the quality of the food served is fairly high. On the other hand... The staff is unattentive, the food was served at a luke warm temperature, and its fairly pricey considering the latter.
My only complaint is that the food was cold. I have never eaten at a buffet and the all the food is cold. Kind of defeats the purpose. If you open at 11 and have reservations for 11:45 there should
Be no reason for food to be cold.
Food was excellent, really enjoyed it. The wine was great as well, wouldn’t hurt to have a few more selections in the $50-$70range.
